Currently yes, marriage is basically a contract that signs away half your entire money/assets/possessions and mixed with no-fault divorce and a ‘you go girl’ culture that creates a situation in which marriage only benefits monkey branching/gold digging women. That's probably a cultural difference man, if you're talking about the texting that is definitely a cultural thing and it doesn't translate well (I'm Dutch).
