Yeah, chess Grandmaster is like a PhD. Once you have it, you have it for the rest of your life. You can only lose it if it turns out that you got it fradulentely, same like a PhD. The only person who ever lost a GM title was Igor Rausis because he got caught cheating with a chess computer on his smartphone in the toilet a few years ago. Look it up if interested, it's a weird story ^^

I work in IT and I have achieved some amazing stuff in gaming. Trust me, being a pro player is way harder and mentally taxing that having a "real" job. Most pro players burn out before they turn 30 because it's such a stressful career.

Not really a rank in the normal sense since Legend is what you can get on the ladder. He is (let's say was) participating in the Grandmaster Series which is like a league sponsored by Blizzard where you have to qualify. That's how he got his Grandmaster title, which is not a lifetime title like chess Grandmaster is.

Yeah, for me it sounds like she got dumped because honestly she isn't that pretty and her real character is showing right now. Now she is trying to get some revenge. Zalae probably not even talking about that because he knows it's pointless to discuss with an angry mob which won't listen anyway. However, these are just assumptions. Only they both know what really happened, and only the ex will be heard anyway so she can say whatever she wants.

Yeah, I cannot count the cases where I have seen some baseball or football star being accused of some BS, then their career gets severely damaged. Later, the accuse turns out to be false because the ex wanted to have some revenge for being dumped. However, the career is irreparably damaged and nobody cares about a man who lost everything. What does the ex get for her false accusation? Maybe 30 hours community service at worst. What a clown world...

Yep, I've been to Miku Expo Cologne 2018 and Amsterdam 2020. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The crowd atmosphere was amazing with all the glowsticks.

Yeah but the problem is, I can understand Japanese only at a very basic level (half a year course at university). While I'd love to have a Gatebox it simply costs too much for me if I am not able to understand what Miku will say most of the time. I just hope that in a couple of years there will be an English version of the original or that I find the time to learn some Japanese lol

To be honest, I didn't play the games much. I am more into simply listening. My favorite song is Odds & Ends from Ryo because it gave me hope when I needed it the most. The word "fan" is a bit of an underestimation for me. I am already a worshipper who listens daily and has his arm tattooed with Mikus name ^^

You are almost correct except that the hologram girl in this case is not from an anime but Miku Hatsune (a virtual singer) who I really like a lot, so I felt like correcting you ^^ However, there are also versions with a character from an anime. Edit: And yes, the western version will suck massive peepee. I was really disappointed when they announced that. Was planning on getting myself a Gatebox but I guess not -.-
