This woman deserves to have a successful launch to her documentary because she really made a bold move, intellectually speaking, that was not popular within her old "clique". Make sure you all show her some love and pay the $5 (or whatever it ends up being on Amazon Prime/others - can't be more than $10), resist the temptation to stream or pirate it. The way to combat corrosive ideologies is not to post on imageboards or subreddits, but to show a consumer demand borne of intellectual curiosity.

In this election, I know I'm not going Trump, as much as I hate Hillary. His solution to ISIS alone invalidated him as a candidate to me. His stance speaks to such a sheer lack of understanding that just downright worries me. (It sounds like a strange hill to die on, but I'd recommend listening to Michael Weiss on Sam Harris's podcast and then listening to Trump talk about ISIS if you want to see where I'm coming from.)

Democrats are doing their best to chase me out of the damn party. I was listening to NPR yesterday, and they were talking about voting demographics and how white men tend to go Republican, and my only thought was: "Yeah, maybe because they're sick of being told what terrible people they are by the left." God forbid we ever had discussions about the actual damn issues.

I got into an argument a few weeks back with somebody who simultaneously believed that feminists treated men equally and fairly (and went so far as to say feminists are the ones who deserve credit for the attention on men's issues), yet believed that mansplaining was totally a thing. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

What the fuck is wrong with people? My campus had an incident a while ago involving a girl being raped at a frat. It was a terrible story. It should never happen.
