I have $300 in my bank account and work at a call center. My money is fucked. I was living with her until shit hit the fan. During the course of my depression I ran her car off the road (it was a beater, but still) and felt obligated to get her a new one. I don't want my daughter being carted around in a piece of shit.

Way to maintain your frame. I literally just had this happen to me a few weeks ago. I was fired rather abruptly from my job. I disagree. OP, just needs to cut his losses (if it's even a loss, to be honest) and keep it moving. There are too many other women in the world that will respect his time and not flake out on him. This kinda of shit scares the hell out of me. My girlfriend and I were talking the other day and she brought up the Biblical story of Abraham and Issac. Long story short, God tells Abe to kill his son and stops him shortly before he kills him as a test of his obedience and faith. My girlfriend said she would do the same if God told her too.
