Yeah not going to jump through those hoops with literally no effort coming from these dumb ass men. Lmao the nerve

I’ve said similar or actually laughed at men who tell me shit like that. However, it’s still a big wtf from me. I’m realizing now it’s just them trying to make themselves all big and important and knock me down a peg or two bc I had a lot going for me.

Also that’s the part that I’m confused about. It always made me fee shitty for some reason, and honestly I know this is unpop opinion but nothing against strippers or sworkers. I’m not unattractive but I don’t really wear makeup a lot unless I’m going out and I’m pretty tomboy. I always felt it was just some way to try to make me feel bad about myself or less sexy or talented or whatever, take your pick.

I feel like it’s a form of “this person is sexier/better looking” etc than you.

It’s so crazy. I can say with 100% positivity that every single person I’ve seriously dated has done this to me and I got so used to it that even though it bothered me, I figured it was something that every man does. I hope with time and if I ever decided to date a man again I will learn to weed these people out way early on.

Yeah, if he didn’t want to be caught he would be doing that behind a closed door. I also notice how frequently he mentions that it’s all women in his house, as if that’s an explanation and if there were a man around they would understand his behavior as “normal” or something.

His friend actually thinks this basic behavior is EXTRA. He sounds like someone who really hates women.

Thank you. hugs Honestly I was devastated at first because I saw it as losing one of my last “supportive” people but I ultimately realized he wasn’t doing anything to support me at all. He was only offering every once in a while and then using that as a means to be manipulative and abusive toward me. I’m really all alone now but at least I have my peace of mind left.

I’m not sure if anyone came here to say this but... what about the 4/5 men who lure you on a date under false pretenses to get sex. So basically they’re saying they want to make no effort to get what they want from you.

I love the INFJ door slam. It’s something I have done all my life when pushed a little too far by LVM and certain other people and I was delighted to find out it had a name. Lol

It’s scary to think you never really know someone or how they think, only how they present to you. I’d be devastated if I found out my fiancé held that kind of attitude or belief. She sounds like a prized cow or something, and what’s going to happen when she gets old?

Here’s a red flag, as an aside. I dated this guy (who ended up ghosting me when he found out I was pregnant no less) told me a story at the start of our relationships. He had dated this girl he really liked and she had a seizure disorder. She ended up having a seizure while they were at the mall and peed her pants. Then he boasted that he never spoke to her again because “screw that, I didn’t want to deal with that crap”. Now how I didn’t run away right then I don’t know but I learned my lesson …

I have CPTSD because of the actions of an ex like this. I let him do this to me for over six months. He’d do things like offer to pick stuff up from the store for me (I’m disabled) and then BLOCKED. I would panic and freak out and then he’d come back around the next day saying he made a mistake and just got stressed out. We’d get back together. Then the next time he would offer to do something I needed, and I’d ask “are you SURE” and he’d say yes and then he’d pick a fight with me and I’d be blo…

This 100% My ex, after all the care that I had done for him bc he was always sick and never felt “well” for one reason or another, peaced the fuck out right away when I got sick and he had said he would take care of me. He just needed a mommy to take care of him and when I couldn’t provide all the emotional and physical labor anymore he was OUT. There are so many LVM/NVM that do not want that kind of responsibility and don’t care what happens to you. After I lost my health, my job and my apartme…

This is 100% HVM behavior. It makes me happy to see there are people still like this in the world.

Absolutely! I think he did sneak the “she probably has bpd” thing in there too. Did we date the same guy? He was always so focused on psychoanalyzing and manipulating other people but never wanted to turn that around and look at his own extensive mental health issues.

My most recent LVM ex told me that his ex was an abusive crazy narcissist. Turns out the narcissist was him, and if he even remotely treated her like he did me I feel so sorry for that girl. She wasn’t crazy at all. She leveled up and got the hell out of there and married a nice HVM man who takes care of her.

Y’all sound like you have the best therapists. While I was going through abuse with one of my exes I would tell my therapist at the time about the really messed up things that happened and get absolutely no feedback about this.

Same! This is why I agree that it’s ingrained in our society. I figured out what my parents were doing after a while and became the “black sheep” although I was the only one who had their shit together and took care of myself. Black sheep? Oh it’s because I don’t bow down to you.

Here’s an example, from a LVM who refused to ever engage in a conversation with me about any issue that came up in our relationship to the point where he stonewalled me to rile me up until I would have a meltdown. “You’re so angry all the time.” Damn right I’m angry. It’s like talking to myself, and if I wanted to talk to myself I’d have saved myself four years of frustration. It’s funny that he got what he wanted, I toned down my “anger” at his refusal to communicate with me. However he still n…

I always wondered what the hell this was about other than many male’s internalized misogyny. I’ve been an avid gamer ever since I can remember, and I’m almost 40 now. When I started out playing fps online in the late 90s and early 2000s I faced a torrent of abuse playing my favorite game such that I had to stop playing it online even though is was extremely good at it, and to this day I will only play by myself or with friends. I was so young and naive, and I didn’t know about the bullshit, abus…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
