An ex gf of mine was in a "relationship" like this from 16-19. He was married and in his early-mid 30s. He was her band director. He got 10-15 years in jail plus I think a 15 year suspended sentence. He was abusive but its complete bullshit that she received a suspended 5 year sentence. The problem is that they still tend to be nice guys. They may have lost weight and gained a bit of muscles but it is for the wrong reasons. My point was that parents have no idea how much divorce fucks up their kid.
