Six weeks without a family income is a big deal. 2 years is not good enough for some shit like this. They need to start making examples of people like this, and the amount of time and effort she went into to make this lie is absolutely ridiculous.

Exactly. I was at a gas pump one time in a not so good area and I got approached by a gentleman asking for money for fix a flat. I felt bad for him as I didnt have cash so I told him I would use my card and pay buy him a can. He said no, he was at a gas station down the street that he already started paying for a can and just needs cash. At the point, you know you are probably lying. How can you partly pay for something, then leave and go to another gas station for money?

I tried to do something similar. There is an elderly man that usually sits by the light down the street from my house. I stopped at the store one day and got him beef jerky, crackers with cheese and some candy. So he could keep them in his bag. I felt so bad when he said he appreciated it but he was unable to have dairy, sugar, or meat do to a medical condition he has. He didnt ask for money, he just thanked me and walked away. I think I felt worse for him after that.

This is why I don't give people on the side of the road. The sad part is, I wouldn't mind giving change to a homeless person that might be done on their luck right now, but I am not paying for people like this to pay off their Cadillac. And that is what it comes do to anymore. You can't be generous because people are too lazy now and just want things handed to them. The ruin it for the everyone else.
