What an appallingly vile sub. And yet the manosphere is roundly portrayed as the problem. I’ve never seen anyone advocating for starving little girls, or anything close to it.

It’s disgusting that you’re promoting cruel and unusual punishment, or torture, being implemented by the state. You’re insane.

This topic fills me with so much rage. These prisoners are wards of the state, and should be protected while they serve their sentences. The fact that Daniel Williams was raped multiple times by fellow inmates over multiple days shows how negligent these prisoners systems are, and how little value they place on human life. It’s truly disgusting that our society turns a blind eye, and even cheers on these atrocities.

I tried bringing this up in the politics sub, because everyone loves to state that the court of public opinion doesn’t require the same burden of proof as legal court, as if that justifies ruining people’s livelihoods whenever an accusation comes out. It fell on deaf ears, of course.

Saving, this is a great reference. #39 is still overlooked. “Gender studies” has been feminist indoctrination since it became an academic field.

Why are you blaming Obama for the weak/corrupt Dems in Congress? Twenty years ago separation of powers was still a real thing.

I honestly don’t understand this strategy. There are millions of men who want equality for women; they just don’t want what feminism has turned into. They are alienating those men by branding themselves as a gynocentric party. Just be the party of the people, you fucking morons.

I take issue with your characterization of Obama. He was obstructed by Republicans at every turn—otherwise he would have succeeded in enacting more progressive legislation. He also presided over the worst recession in recent history, which, again, Republicans should shoulder the blame for. The Right didn’t really start throwing all semblance of convention and decorum out the window until Obama’s second term, and it’s been a steady decline in the state of our politics ever since. So yes, Obama wa…

There are still egalitarian feminists. The problem is that the entire movement has become so infected with bad-faith actors that it no longer has any claim for being egalitarian.

The fact that the media, especially left wing media, promotes or at least turns a blind eye to radfem content, shows just how ingrained misandry is in our society. Meanwhile I see frequent pieces about the evil manosphere that show no interest in being even-handed or willing to look at the big picture. The message continues to be that misandry is justified, and men who don’t roll over and take it are ruining society.

It’s the difference between LW and RW male advocates. We’re in a kind of limbo because we don’t have a natural political home in this day and age. It’s the main reason I love this sub.

I just heard about this today. I stumbled onto a post about it in r/Feminism where commenters were encouraging OP to reconsider her marriage, because her husband wanted to reserve judgment until the whole story came out. A bunch of more recent comments were asking if they’d changed their tune after the story broke that she had lied about it, but they all just doubled down. Pure dogmatism over there. Based on this thread I don’t believe you’re a male advocate. No one is defending Nazis. You, however, are defending immature, misandrist behavior from left-wingers. There’s plenty of relevant things to criticize Nazis for that don’t relate to height. But for you, the goal is to hurt their feelings (Steven Miller isn’t even short, so he probably doesn’t give a shit) as if that accomplishes anything. What it actually accomplished was displaying LW women’s disdain for short men, because they (and y…

You really got all the toxic crazies riled up with this one. Having compassion for people shouldn’t be controversial or hotly debated. But they will never give up their victim status or admit that men as a whole need compassion—how dare you even suggest it—in this age of gendered hostility, even as young men struggle and fall further and further behind. They see it as a zero sum game where showing compassion is weakness, not strength. Sound orangely familiar? It’s a sad state we’re in, and even …

Completely agree. There’s no upside to describing that stuff, plus it’s disrespectful. I wouldn’t want my exes talking about my genitalia to random guys. Best case scenario is OP’s girlfriend is too immature to realize this—i.e. “never attribute to malice what can be attributed to stupidity.”

Being rejected politely is hard enough without being called a creep. Some women will act disgusted and rude when a man approaches, without considering that A) they expect men to do the approaching and B) for a lot of men, it’s a vulnerable moment that takes courage to carry out. I agree, one stranger’s reaction should not have the power to damage one’s self image, and it can be a learning opportunity. I just don’t think women should get a pass when they behave badly.

It does a lot of harm to men’s self esteem, but that doesn’t seem important to you. Apparently men need to show empathy to women and their bad behavior, but not the other way around.

Thank you. This post is deranged, and has one of the sadder comment sections I’ve seen on this sub. Men like that try to put stuff in their profiles that represents their personality and interests in a genuine way, so if they do match with someone, they can assume there’s some basic level of compatibility. Yup, and when you point out the vitriol, they will argue it’s justified instead of trying to improve gender relations. I think Hollywood shares a lot of the blame for centering feminism and misandry in popular culture. They were roundly shamed by the MeToo movement, and saw a way out by pushing female empowerment to the masses. I don’t believe for a second that the big cats running the studios learned anything from the whole thing aside from performative virtue signaling.

You’re conflating women who are happy alone with women who want a relationship but can’t find Mr. Right because their standards are ridiculous. When people today say women should lower their standards, they mean superficial standards like income and height that have become popular to chase in the online dating scene. Good relationships are built on real connection. If you need a man to be 6 ft or above and make 100k in order to be attracted to him, that’s a you problem. If you go through life ch…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/25 06:12 PM

It’s just another example of feminists picking and choosing when to ascribe women with agency. They view sex workers as victims who need support, while seeing the male customers as exploitative and slimy and giving them the blame for the whole ecosystem, instead of the parties who supply the product. If you disagree with sex work in principle, you should not support sex workers, beyond supporting their rehabilitation.

I’m saying men are trying to advocate for themselves, but the left has summarily shunned them. Therefore, they gravitated to right wing spaces where they are welcome, and brought many young male voters with them, hence the unprecedented gender divide at the polls last November. As much blowback as there has been to feminist movements, it pales in comparison to the scorn and ridicule male advocates receive. The left has shown it is inhospitable to men’s rights movements. They want to have a monopoly on gender equality. How can both genders feel represented when the name of the ideology represents one gender? It’s not semantics. Rebranding to “gender equality” or something similar is what is needed to move forward in good faith, but feminism has become part of the cultural identity. I predict that clinging to a one-sided movement will do more harm than good to women’s issues, because men will be less sympathetic and vote accordingly. The left needs to embrace bot…

No, it should be society’s problem, because a good society cares about its disadvantaged groups. Feminism has made women’s issues society’s problems for decades, and men have mostly gone along with it amicably until recently when it started becoming apparent to us that it’s past the point of helping. Feminists actively fight against and belittle men’s rights activists or whatever name you want to call them. That has to change if feminists want their movement to be taken seriously.

Even if you assume everyone is conforming to traditional gender roles, there is power in being the object of attraction as well as the person who has the final say in allowing an encounter to continue. Men and women have different types of power in their traditional roles, and women in general seem happy to continue being pursued.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 07:22 PM

It makes sense because part of the aura of the very attractive “9” or “10” woman is her style and fashion. Women who put a ton of effort into their clothes, hair, and makeup can be intimidating because it’s assumed they’re looking for an equally well groomed man. This is what guys mean when they say “she’s too hot for me”. A woman who looks good but not as dolled up is more approachable for the average guy.

Abstinence. I agree, people should be careful, but like I said things don’t always go according to plan. Let’s say both parties do their due diligence and the condom breaks, or BC doesn’t work. Low probability but known to happen. Now the onus is on the woman to decide the fate of both her and her partner for the next 18+ years. I try to treat everyone fairly and not make assumptions based on stereotypes, but my personal experience has been that women are less likely to be rational-minded. This is not an objective claim, but I didn’t come to that conclusion because society told me to.

I can’t speak for those men, but I don’t think most of them care about some OF creator getting fucked by 100s of dudes. It’s the backlash—the public emotional display and sympathy from women online—that is infuriating. She chose this.

Tl;dr Don’t have sex if you can’t deal with knocking a woman up. Because sex knocks women up. Why don’t you see the double standard there? Women can correct their mistakes if they so choose.

Not a good comparison. Accidents happen all the time, and women are given recourse to correct them. Men do not have that option. Parenthood should be a choice for both parties.

Men are not a monolith. The issue is that this clearly depraved woman is voluntarily whoring herself out on unprecedented levels for fame and money, but some women still find a way to blame men. Like, c’mon, pick your battles.

Yeah, in a fantasy scenario, I would fuck a bunch of hot women in a row. But not publicly, to make myself famous for being whored out. Honestly it’s so fucked up I can’t really relate to it or empathize with it in any way. She was already rich from OF. Edit: emphasize to empathize

It’s a moot point. It’s not like they’re polling women about Lily Phillips. All OP has to go on is what he’s seen and heard, so it’s pretty unreliable. But I do understand the frustration with women shirking responsibility for their actions by blaming the patriarchy.

I’m sorry, but doesn’t this just prove that women are petty and vindictive? There has been a growing and increasingly visible feminist movement over the last decades that society has taken many steps to appease. But now that women have made strides toward social equality, they want to inflict the same hurt that their mothers and grandmothers received when they were young, as if punishing young men will right the wrongs of the past. We should be healing and moving forward together but instead, sa…

Maybe you’ve gotten lucky? The last feminist girl I talked to was very loud about her beliefs, including calling people incels and informing me that she chose not to read books by male authors. It sucked because I really liked her before the red flags started waving.

You’re right, for a large percent of the voting public, impressions matter more than facts. My impression was that the left, or groups espoused by the left, exhibited a lot of hostility toward men, blaming us for society’s problems and shaming us for our very nature. If I didn’t hate Trump and his cult so much I would have been much more tempted to change my vote. But I am a millennial and remember clearly what his first term was like. Younger men who were kids in 2016 probably didn’t follow pol…

I agree with everything you said except the notion that all women can get sex whenever they want. Believe it or not, men and women aren’t so different that they’re not both affected by loneliness, mental illness, and the increased isolation of the modern world.

My biggest issue is that “incel” used to be a self-identifying descriptor, because when you’re talking to strangers online nobody knows who is fucking whom or much of anything about our personal lives. At its core it meant the inability to attract a sexual partner. But now we’re having that meaning ascribed to people due to their ideas and opinions, out of pettiness, because it’s insulting to be called a virgin or sexually undesirable. Incel is a lot more hurtful than nerd or twerp. The word has a lot of implications, e.g. hating/resenting women, being a socially inept loser, and even being mentally unstable to the point of violence. Not to mention the originally intended meaning of not be able to get laid. It conveys a lot more hate and misandry than those other words.

The whole scenario is so stupid because no one will ever need to make this choice. It’s purely a vague hypothetical. But I’ll bite. You’re committing the same logical fallacy as the other bear choosers: assuming that you’re more like to meet a harmless bear than a harmless man. Bear encounters are rare because they generally avoid humans. But if you do encounter a grizzly at close quarters, there’s a good chance you’re getting mauled and eaten. No self defense will change this, unless you’re equ…

You’re trying to rationalize away this sentiment that the left hates men, but it’s too late. They already voted. Kamala should have done more to distance herself from anti-male vitriol if she wanted to capture their votes.

Not sure what you’re basing your comment on, but traditionally it was considered the job of men to protect women from physical harm. But now there are constantly women complaining online about how dangerous men are, how they’re afraid to walk alone because of men, they’d choose the bear, etc. I just came across a comment with 10k upvotes in r/fauxmoi that said “Men are fucking mistakes.” So I guess men are not sure what to do with all the hostility and fear coming from online spaces.

I agree with this in principle, but in practice this would be a nightmare to enact. Women would need to legally establish rape to justify an abortion, and this would also increase the likelihood of dishonest rape allegations.

One of the unfortunate traits of “manliness” in our culture is being self sufficient—i.e. not needing things like emotional or financial support or asking other people for them.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/06/24 05:21 PM

The reason single women are happy is because they generally have a better social support system than men. Why this is is harder to say, but I don’t think single women suffer from loneliness to the same degree that we men do. Whether women are better at cultivating a social life, or society is less friendly to single men, I believe this is the crux of the issue.
