That might be the motto, but the second you're accused of a crime you get put on blast in the media and everyone assumes you're guilty. If you don't have the money you can't get out of jail so even if by the time you are found not guilty you could lose everything.

Hahaha, I didn't include it in my original response but her mom came to move her ass out of our house. Mom was just disgusted. "She has done this too many times, I am so sorry for this". I took it very seriously at first, because I mean, you have to, right? Luckily I had a friend who worked as an advocate for rape victims so I called her immediately and she really helped out. Just knowing she had made a habit of claiming rape the next morning made my stomach turn.

Whatever in county jail if you are a cholo you get put in a special block. I got put in there because the jail doctor refused to give me half of my prescribed meds. Serious withdrawal shit there. Lots of rapists, molesters and dudes with child porn. Felt dirty the whole time.
