How Burnout Became the Norm for American Parents, Especially Millennial Mothers.I was married to a LVM. I think he felt threatened by my success, because it showed everyone else how useless/lazy etc. he was. Part of me also wonders if we're in this weird in-between zone, where these men want to support feminism in theory, but in reality, they want the family unit they grew up in, with all its trappings and stay-at-home mother supports along with the double income. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 27/09/20 01:42 AM
How Burnout Became the Norm for American Parents, Especially Millennial Mothers.Same here. Total and utter bullshit. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 27/09/20 01:36 AM
HVM anticipate your needs! All the damn time! I nearly threw it through the window many a time. It was just the tip of iceberg. Needless to say, we're not married anymore. 😂 | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 27/09/20 01:28 AM
HVM anticipate your needs!"Selfish LVM only care about themselves." Amen. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 26/09/20 01:16 PM
HVM anticipate your needs!Yup my husband laid into me once when I was upset over something he did when I was first day of my period. He was armchair parenting from the couch while I struggled to get the kids out the door in all their winter gear and couldn't find mittens. I couldn't find mittens because he never put them away or brought them into the house from the car... and that day I was really pissed off about it. But I had no right to be upset because it ruined his mood for the day. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 26/09/20 01:15 PM
This. This is what I am working on with myself at the moment. Trying to get to the bottom of why I accepted what I did. Ladies it’s very useful to look inwards and see what is going on internally! Why are we allowing subpar shitty behaviour or traits? This is awesome! I'm walking a similar path of working through my family of origin issues after my ex emotionally abused me and destroyed our family. It's bizarre how it all comes full circle. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 02/09/20 01:27 AM
This sub ruined my marriage!!! 🤣Sounds so familiar. But my NVM "didn't see it" ... Like the lightbulb burnt out in the hallway for months on end that I left so I could see if he would get off his butt to change? Newsflash: he never changed it and I lost my willpower and just did it. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/08/20 01:28 AM
This sub ruined my marriage!!! 🤣Congratulations! It gets easier. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself time. I'm a year out now and life is so much better. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/08/20 01:24 AM
You Aren't Being Kind When You Mother HimAmen sister. I couldn't even hold my ex accountable for things he said he'd do but didn't. It "made him feel bad." | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 19/08/20 04:01 PM
You Aren't Being Kind When You Mother HimYup, I had a similar moment with my ex husband when we were dating. I realize now it should have been a red flag, not a project. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 19/08/20 03:59 PM
Book recommendation: Why Does He Do That? By Lundy BancroftI just wanted to thank everyone for recommending this in various threads recently. I stayed up way too late last night listening to the audiobook and taking notes. I feel so seen. I've spent the last year trying to figure out what went wrong in my marriage. This book is hitting so close to home on many fronts. My ex never hit me, but I've often said that it was just a matter of time... And this book confirms that. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/07/20 01:39 PM
She's a marriage therapist...has several other posts like this as well. Mostly men salivating over her posts as expected.Ha, I love this. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 17/07/20 02:07 PM
She's a marriage therapist...has several other posts like this as well. Mostly men salivating over her posts as expected.Exactly. My ex was a LVM and added little more than money to the relationship, home or family by the end. I was doing most of the work before, so at least now I get to enjoy a conflict-free home to my liking while I do everything on my own. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 17/07/20 02:06 PM
