i use eventrecordsapp.com to document my stuff, its a diary app of sort but you can attach images of text messages and emails to entries, it also has a nice "Neutralizer" button to remove emotion from entries and keeps it to facts only. I just export the relevant entries i need to PDF and hand it into the lawyers so they have a full record with dates and texts of whats up.

Im my case, I was a Catholic and loved the faith (am learning to be more involved again) been over 2 years since I decided to walk out. I tried going to councelling with her many times through the 5 years we were married... she never accepted going and continued to blame me for it all. When she slapped me, I decided I couldnt live like that anymore. Still, I stayed for a few more weeks hoping it was a once off... she slapped me again. We have 3 kids, and honestly, when I left I didnt have an ove…

Document everything, every interaction, every broken agreement, every offered agreement. Just be reasonable yourself as much as you can. Text/email to communicate as much as possible, use AI tools to remove emotion from your conversations as much as possible and stick to facts. I use eventrecordsapp.com to record everything and keep it to facts based only, it makes it very easy to spot patterns of behaviour, which is what courts/lawyers care about far more than one off moments. Been fighting for…

I immediately gave up on lawyers after I wrote the parenting plan I wanted, sent it to them to send through to her, and then they rewrote it... but excluded many things I wrote... and then 8 back and forth emails later... they finally wrote it the way I wanted it in the first place... but if course every time they send or read an email... $40 so 16 x 40 when it should have just been... 40

Still going through my fight but the worst is over now. 2 years of accepting the bare minimum visitation hours and slowly building my way back up, all the while silently Documenting every refusal, every broken agreement, every single thing she ever has said and done. And then going through court for court orders... now 50/50 is only a few months away.

I wrote down everything I could possible recall, went through all the old text messages, facebook messages, Wrote it all down again, wrote an app to organize it all, waitied 2 years after seperation from her before i finally filed for family court (Gathering evidence for the entire two years) documenting how i continuously made improvements to my life whilst she spent the whole time living with her mum, no job, living off the government payments. Looked up the cost of lawyers to fight for me, an…

Yeah, everyone i talked to told me to start taking notes and record everything, and it was only after that, when I was recording things into Word docs, did I start trying to find a better way

Yeah, that was my main challenge, trying to separate the emotions from the facts as well as keep a record of everything consistently... it was a pain.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
