I don’t understand why people think sex before marriage is a sin. Have you ever heard of fornication? What does God say about fornication and fornicators?

Going by the OP, it seems like he wants to obey the state's regulations. My response was constructed in light of his value system.

Marriage is marriage in the context of what God defined in Genesis, whether it happens in a church by a priest or in a courthouse by a secular officiate. I agree. What is our disagreement exactly?

Sex outside marriage is called fornication and it is sinful (1 Cor 6:9). If you want to have sex, get married first. You can have a big party once the COVID regulations get relaxed.

What you’re saying is heresy or false. The implications of your argument would permit believers to pursue marriage with people who are in legal secular marriages or even marriages within other religions. What? Don't know where you got that from. Traditional Christian teaching recognises marriage as a common good that is not limited to Christians. An atheist married couple who later come to faith don't need to remarry. Sex outside of marriage is called fornication. The bible does not have great t…

Decriminalise prostitution. Have some regulations to ensure that sex work is safe and accessible for both workers and clients.

The past is the past. Jesus forgives. ;) Hmmm, I wonder what the Old Testament has to say about fornication.

I believe that having sex makes you intimate and vulnerable I agree in some sense. However, I also recognize many people think otherwise and I don't judge them for acting accordingly. Also, it's an industry, strongly linked to trafficking, drugs, kidnapping etc I think a big part of cleaning up the industry would be to decriminalise it and remove the associated social stigma. Bring it all into the public light. We can impose some basic but strict regulation (eg. no underage girls, no trafficking…

"Nice that you compare a woman’s body to a waste carrying construction of metal pipe." Not at all. I am comparing sex work to another kind of valued service in society. "If ‘sex’ was a personal service like any other you’d have no problem selling it to a family member." I personally don't do sex work. However, I don't insist that nobody should be able to do it because I personally don't want to do it. I can think of some work activities I do (eg. teaching) that I would not do for a family member…

"Sex isn't a service." I am arguing that it can be considered as such, at least in some cases. "so they would feel intimate and get some validation out of it." This is our point of disagreement. You seem to think that sex needs to be special and take place in "intimate" relationships. I contend that sex does not always have to be like that. It should be perfectly fine for adults to sell sex to other people as a service.

Have you ever hired a plumber to fix your tap? Does this mean that you only see him as a "tap fixing" machine? You just want your tap fixed and he wants to get it over with so he can get paid.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/20 09:55 AM

A plumber isn't going to fix your tap for free. That doesn't mean he despises you or is desperately hoping the job to be over. Some people actually like their jobs. They still want to be paid though.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/20 09:33 AM
2

" no you just pay them like it is accustomed and they provide the service, why is this any different? " It comes down to this. Some people don't see sex work as real work. Sex is "special" and shouldn't be traded for tangible thing. That's why many people think it's ok to give sex for free but once somebody is getting paid it becomes unacceptable. I personally think that sex work should be regarded as any other job and be decriminalised. Sex workers are providing an important service to society,…

Just legalize prostitution and make it accessible and safe. People on welfare can try to put aside some money for sex. Others who are sufficiently wealthy can pay for it themselves.

People who score bellow 100 should have a name assigned at random and then they should be sterilized. Ouch. That around half the population for most Western countries.

Some people are using "single" in a technical, legal sense. (ie. never married). Suppose a widow was filling out a form which requested her relationship status. The options are single, married, divorced and widowed. She would be incorrect to tick single. Most criticism directed at single moms are not intended for widows. Usually those cases are due to tragic circumstances. I think the bulk of the criticism is directed at women who have children out off wedlock. This often places the child in a l…

To be honest, I was particularly appalled regarding this royal marriage. I know he's only sixth in line but the fact that he's in line at all means that he should set a good example for the nation (old fashioned I know). We had this problem in 1936. Our parliament forced him to abdicate. We lived in a more sensible society back then.Strange things happen in succession and I hope he never becomes my king.

By "single moms", I think people here are mostly referring to women who have never been married before.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/19 11:54 PM

Women must be ready to drop it all to raise a child on their own Women have always had the bulk of the reproductive risk. That's why they need to be careful who they have sex with. ... if the dad turns out to be a dad beat /have a change of heart once the kid comes...that's somehow always their fault for not being a mindreader Here's a tip for women. Don't have kids until you are married. Yes, the man can still leave a marriage but at least you have more leverage.

I did account for that in my comment. Whatever perspective you take, will you at least admit this case (raped+ prevented from taking Plan B) to be an outlier?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/19 11:53 AM

Possibly. You may also want to consider what is "enough" economically.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/19 08:03 AM

For rape, there is plan B. I suppose plan B could fail or the woman could be somehow be prevented from taking it (eg. Locked up). We are talking about minority cases here.

The book is a classic and conveys valuable insights. It's definitely worth a read. George Orwell was a socialist but not the SJW kind. He served as a volunteer in the Spanish civil war on behalf of Republican Spain. He understood the horrors of totalitarianism, whether it is of the left or the right flavor.
/r/TheRedPill11/05/19 05:28 AM

Foolish move. Want to see more antisocial behavior? Societies get more violent when men can't get sex. They will be especially angry if you are getting in their way. Alright then. Let us plunge into the depths of hell.

I'm worried about the problem of misogyny though. There is nothing inherently misogynistic about prostitution, especially if it's regulated properly (eg. no under-aged girls, work is voluntary). There are women who are willing to have sex for money. There are men willing to pay. Happy buyer, happy seller. What is there to not like?

Have friends. Join social clubs based on your personal interests. I concede that these things may still be inferior to a supportive, caring and loyal wife. Unfortunately, this is out of reach for many people anyway. I am pointing to a viable alternative. Kurtgesagt: A sparkly rainbow unicorn which smells of popcorn and candy floss would make an amazing mount. They don't exist but a horse still does a decent job.

No? Like it or not, there are young, sexy girls who are willing to have sex for money. Men with a bit of money don't need to kiss women's shoes just for a chance to get laid. Prostitutes are much cheaper than supporting a wife and children anyway. They get to bang a bunch of different girls and it's super fun.

Eg. Yelling at them. Hitting them. One could argue that this is for the good of the child but would that be the only reason? Perhaps it's not even the main reason. Perhaps the main reason is that the parent is bitter , resentful and angry towards their child for their misbehaving. I have seen parents go over the top on many occasions. At that point, it's not about helping the child but getting revenge for themselves. We all have needs and desires. None of us can be entirely selfless and love unc…

Accidental? Come on. Sex is a choice. Use contraceptives. If you forget, there's pills you can take the next day. In the vast majority of circumstances, having children is a choice (in the developed world anyway). On average single parents just do very poorly in raising children compared to 2 parent households. I completely agree with you on the issue of grace. I seriously doubt that anyone who tells me to just overlook a woman's past will give the same advice to their own son. I find it very pathetic when pastors tell me to ignore the past. I wish to add a bit to the psychology aspect of this discussion. I suggest you shouldn't get too bogged down by the "INTJ" result as the Myers-Briggs test has been subject to much criticism in academic circles. Today, personality psychologists typically use the five factor model. To shed a bit more light to your own personality, I suggest you take a test for the Big 5 traits instead. You can take a free questionnaire here. http://www.personal.psu.edu/~j5j/IPIP/

Didn't Trump promise to create more jobs? Now we have Trump whiners getting paid by Washington/Huff-post etc to write bullshit. Let's be honest, what else can these harpies do? Trump delivers.

Lol. I make no value judgement against you as I know nothing about your life. However, many women here would probably find that undesirable. Perhaps this would explain why you disagree so much with the general sentiment around these parts.

These parts would probably make a distinction between the marriage market place and the sexual market place. The idea would be that a high n count decreases a woman's value in the MMP but not necessarily/or as much in the SMP. So whilst men may still want to fuck a high n count woman, they would be less inclined to marry her. Also, the notion of "success" in RPW is different from TRP. A woman doesn't "succeed" by getting laid. Almost any woman who showers can do that. A woman "succeeds" by secur…

"Especially the assertion that women shouldn't "give it away." What, should they sell it instead?" I think the general sentiment around these parts is that she should save sex for a high quality, long term partner. The idea is that the higher your n count, the lower your SMV.

"Sometimes in order to make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs." Yep. I don't think it should be the man's responsibility to fix a bastard child's life. Go blame the mother.
