I straight up tell my husband that I appreciate his concerns, but at the moment I'm feeling defensive and I won't say anything that would help the conversation. I ask him to give me 5/10/20/30/etc, minutes to think so that I can think about what he's asking and not just feel like I'm reacting to it.

I think people take it to mean I can't talk outside of that or something. Like, this is just around when I get home and while he's working. But it was causing friction when I would just talk and interrupt at odd times, disrupting his train of thought. And if he kept his sign on Busy and DND I would always feel like there wasn't time to talk, especially if he was busy for several days in a row. It caused friction, so we found a good solution. I come home, get to chat and interrupt to my hearts co…

Not in the least. I respect his time, he respects my need to talk. He's mostly an introvert but he stays in the computer room downstairs so he can be part of the family most of the time. This is the result of conversations between two people who found they needed more in a different way. He needed more not directed at him chatter when working, I needed to feel heard. After he and I finish our conversation I call my family, my friends, I play with the kiddos and we leave him alone till he's done …

FWIW, I feel/felt this way most when I think of the income disparity. My family grew up lower middle class at best. I'm currently working a solid job but it's no where near what he can make. Like, literally working it because I love it, I'm learning a lot and soon (tm) I'll be doing what I love even more as part of the job. Which means a lot to me. He's not pressuring me to make more money. My job is flexible and meaningful and I get a ton of time with my kiddos. But I only pay for part of the b…

You have some great opportunities both to change your behavior and get your husbands help on the things you're finding are important to you. It sounds like you want to be heard. It also sounds like you want him to see how much of a strong, independent woman you still are, even to your own detriment. "Look I'm giving you the car so you don't have to worry about the rain, I'll go in the rain, what a good person I am." I struggled with this (still to some smaller degree) with my husband. I wanted t…

So my husband is also logical, he works from home though and in the open space so he can see/spend time with the family while he works, otherwise he's pretty certain he'd just not see anyone. Your first point is the first point in my relationship. Always take the conversation as coming from a place of wanting to work with each other, not as something meant to be antagonistic. He's bringing it up for a reason. It's not to demean me, belittle me. It's not because he wants to make me feel less than…

Checked the bit of history she doesn't have private: Brown woman, previously obese. Probably loving the person/body she is now but if I had to guess, has a lot of internalized shame for not having been good enough/second string for so long. So yeah... Finally feeling cute, finds a handsome guy who seems like he's all that. Your brain can completely start to rationalize that maybe it wasn't really that bad. You're trying to project an image of confidence and beauty that you possibly don't feel. I…

The threshold is 0. If he can't manage his emotions and he's slapping you like this as a boyfriend, what will he expect he can do when you're married. Vetting stage over, he failed.

You either have to learn how to let it go with yourself, or realize that his help isn't going to be the way you are doing it. If there's a specific/exact thing you need to be done, be clear about it and why. Otherwise? Let him do the things he's doing to help. He sounds competent enough, but you sound like you need more things in a set way. Nothing you highlighted seems egregious. You are two people learning how to manage a house with kiddos, this is always an adjustment. Things will never be pe…

I met my husband in my mid 30's. He didn't have a job at the time (he had enough savings to not worry.) He was able to cover all expenses, could pay for things without thinking about it or worrying about his next paycheck. I knew essentially nothing of his finances till we'd been together for quite a long time. I'd previously told him I was perfectly happy to stay with him as long as he could cover his expenses without me. (I'd come off of a previous marriage where I supported my ex for years wh…

Did the low effort start around the busy time? This is a learning experience for sure. I'd definitely reach out and express an interest in setting a time and place in person to talk about things, catch up, and go from there, and then tease out questions of "how often does this happen", "how have you managed relationships in the past around this", "would you be open to trying xyz with me?" He might not have enough head space to answer well right now. But it could be worked on. It took a few years…

I agree, which is why I went on with "If your needs aren't being met" right after. It could be that she can get a temporary fix or something that can help tide her over till the busy time is done. Or it could be that she can't tolerate it and needs more time from another person. Not every person can handle being sidelined for a prolonged period of time. Communication is key. If she brings up her desires and he can give her an additional 5-10 minutes per day, maybe that's enough. If she needs an …

If your needs are getting met, and he's told you ahead of time what a series of expectations are in a particular period, then that should be good? If it's not getting met, then you may need a different relationship. My cousin is a farmer. Spring/Fall he's busy. He might want to talk/call/etc, but he's only got sunrise to sundown and he's got a lot of things that need to get done during that time. Summer, late fall to winter, he's taking his wife out to trips, going to fun places and doing a litt…

I would strongly consider waiting to have kids until you've had a chance to be the person you want to be. I personally waited until my mid 30's. I am a much more patient person, I've had a lot of fun, enjoyed experiences, and feel stable enough to care for my kiddos. I have someone come to help clean the house every 3 weeks (do the deep cleaning I don't really want to do), and we have a person drive the kiddos to and from activities while I focus on making dinner. I still don't fully think I hav…

I feel you've taken this a little too far to one extreme. Until you date, you really don't know what you can tolerate vs. not. This isn't to say date everyone, definitely date with intention and requirements, just be honest that while you can love you aren't just going to hand it out to everyone. You are saying giving everything to one person when the time is right, there are people who will take full advantage of that and use that mindset against you. And if you've fallen to the mindset that yo…

The biggest issue here is that you're unable to do all the things and the expectation is that you signed up to do all the things. His expectation is that they should be done and you shouldn't have to ask. Unfortunately it seems like it's becoming too much on some days. Some suggestions then? One, I'd try to see about re-negotiating expectations a bit. If your autoimmune issues are getting in the way, can dishes be done the next day? Can you put it off a little for rest? As a partner, he should r…

I feel like he's told you how he's felt about it. So take that and be free. With that said, your marriage is going through some tough times and he's said these things are things that don't matter to him. In that case, I'd mention that you weren't going to be doing the things that he didn't care about. I'd also use this opportunity to see what he would like and what you could do for holidays. As for not getting you anything, I would mention that it is important to you to celebrate in some fashion…

Is it the Red Pill geared towards men? Or RP for women? Really the RP side of things for us are mostly in terms of improving yourself and helping set expectations in a home/family setting. There's a wide variety of people represented on this particular subforum. It really comes down to being your best person and finding someone who helps build that up while you support them in your own way.

These are some hard conversations. I'd generally speaking avoid bringing up your boyfriend unless you had a specific reason to talk about him to her. Additionally, what is your living situation beyond roommates? Is it school? Something else? Who is on what lease and what are your other rooming options? If it is a campus, I'd request a room change. That said, I would set some ground rules/expectations. I'd probably make some flavor of this conversation: I wanted to talk to you about discussions s…

For what we know right now, here's my recommendation: If your energy levels are currently low, your main goal should probably be the conductor and the weekends will likely be your workhorses with the kids. This is just temporary, you can always get back to your baseline once you're in the second trimester or when you get your energy back. I don't know how you handle meals in your family so I can't really give guidance on that and it's not included below. 1) Sweep the floors/light vacuum after di…

I think some more information would be helpful, namely how old your other kiddos are, how much you expect them to help, and how you're currently doing with this pregnancy. If you have multiple under 5 it's going to be a much different answer than spread out from 1-18.

When you are burnt out you should stop looking. You have neither the energy to present to a partner, nor a grounded desire to look beyond desperation. I say this as someone with a much higher body count that many people would say is remotely acceptable! Most men won't ask for an exact number, most men will also not ask for details. There is a lot of fear that they won't be good enough to compare to others, but generally speaking building them up works much better than comparing them. Comparisons…

Honestly, this holds true in every genre of dance I've done. Especially as a female who occasionally would lead when the gender balance was off. Any dance where you're reliant on signals and shifts from your partner are places you need to be able to feel or send those signals. Latin dances, salsa, tango, swing, ballroom, regency. Any partner based dance gives you these opportunities. I've done strong backleading to people who were new to dance and didn't know how to feel the flow of the dance, a…

My comment to this is pretty straightforward: Do you want to change a part of your personality (directness, openness) in pursuit of finding someone who may not appreciate that from you in a longer term committed relationship. If they are important to you, you should keep it and find someone who matches well with you as a direct, open person than try to force yourself into a version of you that you may not want to continue with. You're not after most men, you're after a good match for you.

I take this as a learning experience. I mean, really it all is. "On Important Things" I've learned to ask my husband once a week. For example he has a colonoscopy due, and he knows he needs it and has a medical condition that's related to it. And it's important, but he's also on an every 6 month plan which I mean, sucks really. I know he'll get it done, and I know it'll be "soon" but I don't want him to wait too long, so we had a brief talk and I can gently remind him once a week until he does i…

If you do have to ask, if do something like "I was hoping to use the car on xyz, hopefully they have a chance to do what's needed by then" and leave it open for him to respond. You're not forcing him to answer but you are letting him know it's on your mind. You're also not asking for status so he doesn't have to offer that if he's not ready.

From a medical standpoint from a state with some of the more restrictive conditions, I can understand that last point. It is near impossible to find a provider willing to help with a spontaneous abortion or miscarriage and if it's not to the point where it could endanger the woman's life but isn't yet currently, they are open to being sued if they provide care and someone doesn't agree. At which point the woman's life is actually in danger and you can't save 100% of those cases. I can understand…

My mom was a working mom, but she said one thing that stick with me to a degree I couldn't imagine: it's not worth fighting with your dad because he put the shoes in the wrong place. 1. How do I reciprocate with dating? You plan things that you find fun or interesting or would like to do. The side benefit of this is it's always something that you will enjoy, so no matter what happens on the date you will always have a good time. Get a list of places you'd wanted to see/do/go and invite him along. The bonus to this is they will be things that naturally get you excited and it's a lovely look! 2. Not a red flag. My husband is very private in a lot of things. His phone is his, his messages online are his, his discussions with people are his. I feel like you are trying to make this into more of an issue then it has to be. If he's willing to convert and you don't force him to change, then it works out. If he's not willing to convert, you don't have to change anything. If you're ok having someone not of the same faith and he's happy with your decisions on how kids would be raised then it's not a concern. Figuring out what will be a hard rule of no for you will be important, and then discussing to see if you can be on the same page.

Are you ok if he converted knowing the central core of who he is wouldn't change, and that it would be a conversion in name only to make it kosher for you to marry? Because if so you can start to work out that knot of unease. And if it's important to you that he actually hold those beliefs to be true, then... It's better to work towards closure and find someone who matches that aspect because it seems like it will tear you apart. Open, honest conversation with him once you decide what you can an…

Then that would be up to him to decide to convert, like my Grandad did for Catholicism. It didn't change his beliefs, he didn't change from who he was, but he took on that mantle for my Grandmom. I know plenty of Jewish friends from super into the details including full sets of pots and pans that will never touch certain ingredients, to ones who will celebrate a holiday or two on occasion. I will say I know more relationships where people are athiest/agnostic + religious than I do people of 2 different religions. This is of course anecdata. I'll tell you the stories I'm aware of in my life and maybe it will help you make decisions for yours. My grandad, growing up, wasn't really religious at all. I accomplished this in large part years ago by having a very specific explicit profile. I never went to get the greatest number of men and the biggest amount of attention. I wanted people who would read the profile and respond. Anyone who didn't read I didn't talk to. I'd suggest getting a meal planning system set up so that you can track calories and make healthy meals at once. I've used a few but the one my family has used for several years now is https://my.mealime.com/ It lets you pick things based on your requirements, you can take things out based on what you do and don't like, allergies, restrictions, etc. For the paid version you get a calorie breakdown. With my husband, a few years into our relationship, yes. So the first question is, does he want help and is he willing to accept help? This will guide what can be done. If he's willing to accept help and can't do it for himself, this is the best result. In my husbands case, he couldn't manage the energy to contact psychologists, find out their schedules, their costs, their openings, what they specialized in, etc. So I did that for him. I highly doubt there are RP women saying "I follow the tenets of RP and here is my research" If so, great. More important is the topic you are interested in looking up. You can generally find topics that can align with what you are looking for through the abstract. You aren't supposed to have a bias in research, but it happens. It's hard to have to figure a lot of these things out for the first time. My dad was in the military and worked NOC shift, and also was transferred to to Germany shortly after meeting my mom. They chose to get married instead of spending time long term, even though they hadn't been seeing each other for long. What worked for them was figuring out what they wanted to do in the time they had together, celebrating any "extra" time the military gave them, and knowing it could be taken away at any po…

After a poor first marriage, I had a requirement: I didn't care how much money you made, as long as you could support your life with your current lifestyle without stressing too much about it. My husband at the time was taking a break from working so had 0 listed as his current salary. Honestly, I'd look to see if there are any drop in daycare type places where you pay by the hour. I did that a few times while my girls were super little. This gives you some you time, where the kids have active time with other kids. There are places that require vaccination and those that don't as well, so check for whichever is important to you. Way to little to go on here, so I'll share what I did/do with my husband. My husband WFH every day and on one day I WFH as well. My best advice? Ask him. My husband prefers to be left alone most of the time so he can focus on his job responsibilities. That advice is key and is a large part of why I even read this sub. My mom growing up used to tell me she hated how my dad would not do dishes. But in the grand scheme of things, it was such a small thing overall and really, if it meant they weren't fighting over it and it took her minutes to do? That was worth it to her. Would she love it if he did? Yeah, absolutely. But she neither expected or requested it. Her peace of mind was more important than her desire for help on dishes. And they're go…

My husband has a sleep disorder, so we rarely sleep together at the same time. I sleep and need a ton of blankets, he uses far fewer, that's the easy part to fix. We ended up getting a cal king bed to allow us both to have "enough" space on the bed. Finally, if someone is simply coughing too much, or is sick and is getting up and down most of the day, we have a guest bedroom and one or the other of us sleeps there (the sick person usually gets the big/comfy bed). If I had to guess, it's the stress of having 3 babies to look after, a home to look after, no time to herself, the hormones associated with small babies and a woman's body, and his requests on top of all of that. I had my moments when I had my oldest at 3yo, and my youngest a newborn where I was definitely not so patient with my husband because he didn't understand just how emotionally drowned I was and he still needed/wanted me and my attention. Any time you implement changes, you should be prepared to fail. If you're noticing where you are struggling, try to see if you can put in a failsafe or gasket instead. Things like take a deep breath and then excuse yourself. Write it out instead, then review it, then figure the way you actually want to present it. This way you're working through the feelings beforehand and have a productive way to try to figure things out, especially if it was a prolonged buildup. You're going to have points whe…

This is looking forward, and may not be where you're going, but consider something you can do if you decide to have kids. Your me time is important, but if you decide to start a family, your me time will be far more fragmented for many years. Gym and working out is great, and you've got it covered, but try to find something else you can do when you need to be home because a kiddo is sick and you still feel the drive to be able to do something. Kids are a relationship too. <3

Others have the right of it. Don't hide your past, it's given you the opportunity to be the person you are with the values you have. And you can take the opportunity to show that you're willing and able to grow in to the person you need/want to be for the relationship. By showing initiative and showing a willingness to learn, you're showing a value that someone who had it handed to them may not be able to do as well! My husband makes more than I do, we're not super well off, but we do pretty wel…

So with my husband, we had several of our first dates discussing plans, ideal hobbies, free time activities, desired possibilities of the future. In our case, video games and lots of home time, lots of cuddles. Things we both loved and would likely not lose over time. Figuring out argument styles, things that we disagree on, and how to resolve them were huge as well. Identifying possible barriers and getting solutions on place before they are needed we're also a big part. And then of course the …

Nah, not at all. :) I refuse to date people I don't have life compatibility with, at least for long. I was not a low-dating person, I've easily dated hundreds of people (a date or two or possibly more, but once it was no longer a good fit, I would leave.) It severely limited my long-term dating pool, for sure.

I have not. My break down: (Everyone has a different experience) Day of the IUD: Took 800mg ibuprofen 2 hours before the insertion. Continued to take ibuprofen for the next 2 days appx every 8 hours. 2-3 more days taking it 1-2 days. Continued another week plus or minus taking it maybe once a day, maybe not. So about 2 weeks of ibuprofen overall. My actual periods have not had much cramping at all. In fact my only cues I'm going to have a period are the day or two before I get the never ending h…

If your doctor is not an OBGYN, I would talk to a few others. Literally all forms of birth control have risks associated with accidental births. The progesterone only IUD is a similar risk profile to the other IUD's (without the risk of extra bleeding from copper IUD's.) Schedule some time with an OBGYN education expert and go over the options. There are progesterone only implants, shots, and IUD's that may help. (Anecdata: I've been on progesterone only IUD for a year now with no issues. I do g…

More advice for beginners to cooking: Learn to create one to two dishes you love and always have those ingredients on hand. That way, if you're trying a new recipe and it utterly fails? You've got something available to eat that you know you already enjoy. Get kitchen tools that make your life easier. Do you need a different tool for everything? I would suggest planning the majority of your birthday, and then giving him a set of choices that he can do to surprise you for the birthday itself. This allows for some element of surprise, while you still get the rest of the birthday that you want for yourself. Be clear, direct, and give a range of options so he doesn't feel forced into one option.

Step one is definitely to recognize it, and it hurts. I had to learn this with my husband, and I'd like to think we have it down fairly well at this point, but we're not perfect. 1) Recognize what you need: Do you need someone else to talk to about your day and the little things Do you have friends to reach out to and chat with? 2) What do you need from these conversations with him: Talking about random things is fine, but if you have limited time anyway, I'd say definitely work on being more co…

A lot of this depends on a history that you haven't given. Have there been issues with previous partners? His previous partners? Your family? Has he shown himself to be unreliable? Have you had any specifics? What is causing this anxiety/suspicion. I'm looking through your history and you seem like you've had a lot of issues with him. The big thing to remember though is that this is a mostly traditionally focused group. I stay here because I believe a lot of the tenets are great for a long-term relationship and more pressure is placed to make a good, committed relationship work. This is where I part from the typical RP women side of things. I will, however, say you need to look into consensual non-monogamy if this is your life choice. While there is a huge amount of communication in a typical relationship, there is exponentially more in an open relationship. Make sure you are open and honest with your partner, and with any other partners. This is me, 15 years ago. Ended a 5 year long term relationship after my first 5 year marriage ended. But yes, we understand that passion in our interests can sometimes extend to passion with another individual and we don't strictly limit it. It hurts because it's not just leaving a person you've invested your time and energy and effort into, but it was also the future you invested in. Your hopes and your dreams and your goals that now will never be seen. You need to grieve what was lost and what has been lost with this person. I was with my ex for 5 years and while I knew the relationship was ending and I was the one who actually instigated it... It still felt horrible for those reasons. Best of luck, it does get better. <3

My husband and I have explicitly discussed ultimatums before. We expect to never use them, and the use of one is essentially saying "I disagree with you to the extent that I'm willing to risk the end our relationship over this, please take a serious look at it." We've been together for just over 10 years now. We have never used an ultimatum and I hope never to need to in the future.

My (now) husband was concerned about that when he was dating. He was in early at Google and had quite a bit of savings already set away. When I started dating him, he listed no income. I asked him if he could pay his bills comfortably and wasn't in danger of being in debt. He said he could do that. So we started dating. It wasn't until many years down the line that he told me how much he had and how he had it. And that was fine by me. We're not extravagant, we aren't huge spenders. But we have a…

Look into body acceptance programs. I mean this seriously. Believe it or not, a lot of people have insecurity and they never show it. In fact, several people have false confidence that they project to hide their shame for what they perceive as their clearly obvious flaws. Example of an event I attended: Everyone was naked, sitting on towels. The first thing we did was have people say something that they didn't like about themselves. Anyone who related in any way to a statement someone said was a…

I don't know if you're up for it, but here is a good study that goes over self-control and different ways to manage your self regulation that don't rely strictly on willpower. Let me know if you don't have access.
/r/RedPillWomen26/10/21 03:56 PM

So one of the big things to know/remember is that self control only lasts so long. The biggest thing to do is get support, either through family or friends, and reinforce it. Following that, build up good habits, so when you fall back, you are more likely to gravitate to a new habit than an older one. Forgive yourself mistakes but learn from them and move on. When you are motivated to make a change, use that motivation but never, ever rely on feeling motivated to continue a change. Make sure you…

I'm not going to say mine hates gifts, but he buys himself things essentially all the time. There's no real buying him things because if he wants it, he's already bought it, or made plans to get it. With that in mind, some things we've come up with: His present to me this year is baking something delicious once a month. There's a laminated picture on the fridge for sweet/savory bready/desserty items, and I get to place the magnet on what I'm more in the mood for. You can turn this around for him…

There are some studies being done on this now. You can do a search on Google Scholar. One from this year: No changes to fertility were found if it helps. There are more studies currently recruiting and ongoing.

Biggest trick for me is to create a main protein with just salt/pepper/msg, and then create delicious things to go with it, and have those available. Things like full-fat sour cream with mustard/horseradish/garlic. 3 flavors that all work with the food and give a different flavor. Salsas. Dipping sauces. This way you can cook a whole tray of say, 3 pounds of chicken, and get a ton of eventual flavors. And since the only flavor from cooking is a base in most recipes, you can decide for example to…

The practice is popular in deeply religious circles, but also outside of them. My husband and I are both agnostic and serious about it. Marriage is older than most living traditions. If it is important to you, then find someone who follows it. I know one couple who was together 30+ years at this point, but they refused to marry until it was opened up to include gay and lesbian marriages. They did, however, do something that meant as much to them as marriage, so they created an incorporation toge…

I'd highly suggest getting recommendations from anyone you'd like to seek therapy from as well. Especially if they focus in the areas that you're interested in improving. I'd call/email and leave a message to be seen as a patient, as well as if there were any reading recommendations they could offer. This way, even if they can't see you as a patient, they may be able to assist with materials until you can be seen.

Is it something you want to be associated with? My husband and I watch anime together. We have a few shows we're showing to our daughter. We have a list of anime we still want to see together. It's potentially just like watching any other series online, only animated. If it's the content of what he's watching that bothers you, it's not a good fit. If it's anime at all that bothers you, it might not be a good fit. There's too little information to go on here to make a full judgement.

I have to step in, but yes, it can be very hard to ignore haters, especially around the end of teenage years and into twenties. Peer pressure can be ridiculously high, and if you don't see a return on your values, with pressure to conform, it can be difficult to follow through. That said, surround yourself with people you would like to be like becomes my golden rule here. It may be that you will have fewer people to be with, but they will be those you look up to and aspire to be like. It makes d…

I'd say a good 95% of the presents at this house are consumable gifts he enjoys ($80 worth of parmesan cheese this last time) or time away from the family, as he's an introvert and being stuck with us without any good escape is really draining on him. It's absolutely about understanding your partners needs and desires and working with them. He definitely gets everything he usually wants without a second thought, so that is hard to work with.

Learn how to make 1-2 good things. Practice the recipe over and over. Then, always keep the ingredients to make those things on hand. This way, you can work with other recipes and branch out, and if you feel you failed to the point of not being able to eat what you just cooked? Use one of your backup meals. As the other people have stated, find "easy". If you have questions, feel free to join /r/cookingforbeginners. They'll offer tips and hints on how to learn how to create easy meals.

I'm not sure how hers will turn out, but a co-worker of mine fully cooks her noodles and keeps them separate, then adds half the water to her noodles to warm them, the other half to the rest, then mixes it together in the larger noodle dish.

Why do you want to be with a guy who doesn't want to be with you? Work on fixing what it is you screwed up, keep improving yourself and then do better. If he comes around then fine, but how long do you think he'll want to be with someone who no longer motivates him?

I suppose I want to ask you some questions about your details and exactly what you are going up against. But more importantly I want to ask you, why do you think women are attracted to men who follow the RP mindset, or those women who make up RP Women? I would argue communication is absolutely key to a good relationship but communication does not mean talk everything out. It means an exchange of ideas. If you understand the exchange flow, you win. If you don't understand part of it, clarify, back to winning. If I "talked" about every problem or issue I had I could talk for hours I'm sure. But y'know, most issues don't require that. "XYZ is a problem" -> What do we do about it -> resolution. If fewer people would conflate communication skills w…

Eye contact is a huge part of this though. Don't just look up, but look at their eyes. You look attentive and it's really hard for them to break that kind of eye contact usually. :D Much easier to be suggestive when they aren't looking away.

I find any extremist unattractive. It doesn't matter which side of what gender divide they feel they are on. If someone feels the need to share their opinion with me, I'll discuss it with them, but if the majority of the conversation then is dominated by a topic that I have no desire to continue to participate in? That person is likely cut out of my life. This holds true across pretty much all lines. I have a pretty open mind, I'll accept a lot of opinions. But I prefer multifaceted conversation…

Hah. I've had this conversation with my husband a few times. Whenever we get home from vacation, or on the weekends I'm unpacking, cleaning, doing dishes, doing laundry. There is a never ending list of things that need to get done. And since I work full time and go to school part to full time, there is an incredibly narrow window to do it. He asked me to sit and relax with him for a bit the last vacation that ended (which I did, for a little) and had to tell him "I know coming home is a relaxing…

I do all the cooking, breakfast, any lunches we have and dinner. Breakfasts: Totally set. I make a smoothie for me (Blueberries, strawberries, greek yogurt and avocado, blend and go). He gets 2 slices of bacon, an egg, a pancake and a piece of fruit. If he changes what he'd like for breakfast, I simply re-adjust. None of this takes longer than 20 minutes. Lunches: Variable, usually leftovers. Dinners: Crockpot! Or large items that can be served many ways. Example: Currently I have 8 pounds of ch…

Ahhh, no not so much. It's more that I'm impatient and I hate planning a meal with 2 things that sound delightful together but require the oven to be at 2 different temperatures. I know I should just time it better, but it would be so much more convenient to have 2 ovens instead.

I love the spirit of the kitchen. My seriously favorite times for relaxing are making delicious things in the kitchen. That said, not the hugest fan of pink... We never let it get to the point where nagging can happen. I handle things. if I need help, I ask. If it becomes too much we have backup plans set up to ease the burden on the both of us. Not worth the lack of harmony good communication and planning can prevent.

I get bored of them. So eventually I cut contact. I start the friendship earnestly but if they don't prove themselves capable of taking control of their own situation, I don't have time for them. =/ This goes for both male and female contacts.

I'd like to mention my number one is be specific. You aren't looking to date everyone. You are looking for certain things in a relationship and they're important enough to mention. Yes, you'll get fewer replies, but by weeding those out you'll find yourself dating along the lines much closer to what you're after.

Yeah, no definitely it sucks. We did low carb dieting for a while to lose weight and found the eczema vanished entirely. Replaced bread back in and the same issue came back. Just means I've had to learn how to make awesome chili/chicken/steak/meatloaves/soups, etc. Darn the luck. :)

I would argue not learn how to make a good sandwich but learn what your partner likes and then make it well. A good stable of dishes that you can make knowing that they'll love it is an awesome thing. (Saying this as we don't eat sandwiches due to gluten causing eczema. =/)

I found my husband on OK Cupid. I found most of the other men I've dated doing things I love. Here's the thing. I don't wonder where the good men have gone. I look for them in the places of the things I enjoy. Or I look for them online, keying on the things I enjoy doing. Don't ask what they're looking for. Ask what you're after and try to find it. What is quality to you is a dysfunctional relationship for someone else. Without knowing you, we can't answer that.

He hasn't actually had any dates with women that have gone into something physical, only I have at this point. It is a fantasy and something we want to do, but as partners, not as a just sex thing. :) Eventually when he has a girlfriend and I meet her and like her then yeah it will likely happen at some point.
