I find the depth of social ineptitude that you see in some of these posts extremely worrisome. Maybe it's not more prevalent than before and it's only become more visible today when people post online about their thoughts and questions, but I think there should be help available for people who struggle with this stuff. Online manospheres are not a good place

Once again, human interactions are chaotic by nature. There is no walkthrough, no roadmap, no preset method to get into any specific end result. People are not a minigame you manipulate to consistently get what you want. Women are not pokemon, certain types don't appear at known places and you can't unlock new abilities by performing a set of tasks. Dude, man, buddy. I'm sorry but you need to go out and see more people.

I swear this is a recent development caused by online manosphere echo chambers where socially inept incels pat each other on the back. It wasn't like this 20 yo ago for sure

Do note that women are also just people. Different people have different preferences. Women this women that sort of talk is a massive generalization

Human interactions are chaotic by nature. This is not a "women" issue.

Yes this is what I was trying to say

It's important to not pretend to be something you aren't. Being yourself is mandatory, a core building block, but sometimes the self is something a bit counterproductive like you described. You shouldn't try to change what or who you are, but to be a more socially adept version of yourself. We're all responsible for our own success in dating, and sometimes focusing on being just yourself can undermine progress if we subconsciously use that mentality to shift that responsibility away from us

100% this I'm a stereotypical chubby neckbeard nerd by my looks, in my late 30's, and I feel fairly succesful with how my dating life has been. I know a few guys whom you might not describe as being conventionally handsome, if we would be rating peoples looks, but the women they've partnered with are insanely beautiful you wouldn't believe. And it's all just because they had the coconuts and the confidence to go talk to those women

Because being nice doesn't work to get rid of unwanted attention/comments

Men who give such advice to just let women come to you are the ones who have gone through a very different male experience when it comes to seeking company. For some it does work just like that, but their charisma blinds them from the fact that they're a very small minority among men

Ask yourself, do you want someone who wants you for YOU or for what year model you drive.

If it helps you to feel better about yourself, sure that'll help. But it won't do the work for you. Saying this as an overweight 5'7 neckbeard with a ponytail, who actually gets laid. Granted, I don't live in the US which sounds like an extremely shallow shitfest where looks and status are extremely important.

This is what I've been trying to tell people. Biggest hurdles to get over are in their heads, and no amount of time spent at the gym and eating their proteins right is gonna cross those for them.

Alrighty then

This is something you need to clear out with a therapist. People have sex. It doesn't "mark" or stain anyone in any manner. You cannot have an intimate relationship with anyone if you cannot stop worrying over phantom thoughts of potential "other men" having been somewhere before you

Why does it matter? It's not a competition, you're just making it too difficult for yourself for no reason

Yeah 3-4 quite heavy requirements that will only get harder to check off as time passes. You're not doing yourself any favors

Why do people act like condoms are not a thing? People have sex because it's enjoyable and natural, wanting to find someone to have sex with who has never had sex before doesn't make any damn sense. Enjoy your V card.

I lost it at 28. Too shy and inhibited to talk to any woman, and I'm fairly sure I'm on the spectrum too. I was told you just gotta take regular showers and be yourself, so I did. I never really went anywhere, and when I happened to go I didn't try to talk with anyone, and I honestly thought I was doing my best because I didn't smell and I was being myself. I still can't talk to women in live situations because every single one if them looks like they're too important to spend any time talking t…

There is having standards, and then there's shooting yourself in the foot

It is not only good advice, but being yourself is actually mandatory for any genuine human connection. People WILL pick it up if you're wearing a mask of sorts or trying to be something or someone you are not. But the advice also assumes a lot, mostly that your social kit is in good shape otherwise. I used to go out a lot but never talked to a single person since I'm introverted and it doesn't come to me naturally go approach people. Also it might not be the best if your go-to icebreaker joke is…

Every single person who does daygame here is afraid of dealing with violence Jesus christ where the f do you live and when can you get away from there
/r/seduction05/06/24 10:44 AM

You've been too concerned with the "game" and forgotten to be your honest self. It's evident in your tone and the lingo you use to describe your experiences. You sound insecure, which by itself is ok and you can manage it, but you leave a note of bitterness and resentment, with a hint of self-pity. Whatever guides or the like you've read, you can boil the good stuff down to just: be yourself, be social, be fun, be interested in her, and most importantly listen to what she says. Your approaches a…

My pictures aren't even very great. I think I would have more success if I had something else than just random selfies, but my friends don't have time for photoshoots.

I'm 5'7, overweight at a bit under 200 pounds. Long hair and a questionable neckbeard. I don't go out clubbing etc that much, but I've been fairly succesful with dating apps and I think the biggest dealbreaker is either the long hair on a guy or my open relationship. Getting dates is rather easy, scoring sex moderately so, but I've gotten a ton of new friends too which is great. I've found that being interested about your date, listening well, being fun and social, and not loading the encounter …

An autistic pseudoscience attempting to explain how human interactions work, and how to make them work in your favor. In other words, incel bullcrap.
