You could be nicer to not go after her foodstamps. You could just do that despite your personal feelings on her failings. Like, "Ugh, she sucks but I'm not going to put more trouble on her because its not worth it." When you punish her, you put yourself in the gutter with her. If you act like a gentleman, than you rise above. And you get to say "I could have done XYZ but I didn't" And people will see you as more honorable.

Idk I think you could be nicer. “She was fraudulent with the kids food stamps” Sorry, I think you sound full of yourself. Going after this when it literally costs you nothing to leave her alone is petty. She’s already struggling. Think of it this way, divorce_men is super red pilled and leans their opinions on the side of the dude, just naturally. If other posters are giving you the side eye and questioning you, you’re acting like a major dick, because most dickish behavior on here usually gets …

This dude sounds abusive. He seems to want to see her homeless and put in effort to take away her food stamps? Petty.

Exactly! My STBX keeps saying stuff that is like, “I know you think people that go against you are evil, and deserve to be punished but I’m not evil” Or “ I know you are a malicious person” But like, I literally haven’t done anything. I don’t go closer than six feet to the house to pick up mail once in a while and my STBX just abandoned it to work out of state. Even like compromise stuff (oh I want to stop by and pick up a circular saw and some stuff) It takes a week to get a response and my STB…

Two month?! Try a year. My STBX walked into divorce thinking I would just sign my rights away and he could just kick me out with the clothes on my back and “it would be done in 30 days” And I told STBX “hey the way you’re going at this, this is going to take a long time and be expensive” lawyering up right away/grey rocking me/not wanting to discuss mediation/being adversarial STBX never takes my word seriously or respects me so not surprised they just said “well see” then stonewalled me. Just t…

I can project but at least women don’t leave you when you get a terminal illness which is what men do 🤷‍♀️ I mean, it boggles my mind sometimes that men can justify leaving partners during illness because “it’s just not working anymore” How selfish can you be?

Men are 8 more times likely to leave their spouse who is terminally ill. It’s so common that when you are going through intensive treatment like cancer or infertility you are counciled about it. It is an actually very very common thing for a male partner to split, and face less social backlash while women usually feel a sense of obligation to stay and will be basically branded as the devil herself if she leaves. So, as I was reading this I already knew from the part when you mentioned lukemia th…

Husband did this to me when I was on a business trip. I guess he told them I wouldn’t be a good mother and that I was mentally disturbed and would want a divorce. They were bewildered, disturbed and were like, “you need to talk to her” Then he would call me and tell me to check in to wherever I was going and tell me nothing was wrong he was just busy with work, it was all in my head etc. When I go through the timeline of how it went down I feel like that meme of Charlie from it’s always sunny wi…

Father in law was a twice divorced narcissist who liked to play mind games with his kids to “toughen them up” My husband was much kinder than him but goes to his father for advice. In retrospect the way the father set things up/never paid for anything/always made sure he was getting something out of anything he did, our relationship was made on mud. The grandfather was an even worse narcissist so there’s some generational trauma.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
