Part of being alone is getting bored.. divorce really sucks anyways but you can maybe try new things .. I have tried fishing when I was going insane and lo behold I loved it afterwards
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 11:15 PM
2

Its not gonna be easy to open something like divorce to your spouse , but if you really think that its not working then think about what will happen next, having structure can help as well
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 11:10 PM

That sounds hell man, but I suggest that you tell your brother to post here himself .. this community will help him for sure
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 11:06 PM
3

I did focused on the kid afterwards. . I think it depends on the situation,, if only one of you wants a divorce then grieving will be next , otherwise its a celebration
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 10:58 PM

man your points are valid.. going thru divorce changes a lot of people and that will include you later on , I remember feeling unsure what mattered and what didn’t at that stage.
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:41 AM

Dm me man.. i will share something that might be able to help ya with this
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:30 AM
3

I'd say do both man..,in that situation i think she is intending to do it all the time since you are not doing any action,, there are always limits to everything
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:21 AM
1

Very well said brother
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:19 AM
1

Brother.. i feel you i have been there and had to go 2 years of battle just to have full custody.. yeah your wife is a demon but please understand that your kid is just a victim and not in any fault at all
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:18 AM
1

I did some fishing, tried video games to have other people to talk to .. watched some stand up comedy and most important is visiting and hanging out with relative and friends once a week .. and an online course to help me cope as well
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:13 AM
1

Hey man stay strong.. i have been there before.. hookers and alcohol just to cope , therapy and whatsoever . But when i realized that I am just breathing and not living .., I seek and search for help thoroughly .. i luckily found one and i have been ok now and ready to date and give it a go again
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:09 AM
0

Therapy helped me a at first.. but then realize its just a waste of money .. a course i found on how to deal with shit during and after divorce saved me a lot of money
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:07 AM
1

I remember feeling unsure what mattered and what didn’t at that stage, but i found a course that helped me deal with that .. so stay strong !

Man for what its worth, you might be alone but at least you are with a cheater anymore . I understand its lonely and frustrating , It’s hard when things shift quietly and you don’t know why
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 02:00 AM
3

Man that was tough.. i have been there and done that .. and during the divorce I searched and luckily found a course that helped me even after the divorce were final so stay strong bro
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 01:48 AM
2

Hey man i know its tough, have you tried asking family members like bros/sis or live with your parents in the meantime just so they can assist you in little ways at least
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 01:45 AM
2

I suggest you hired some financial expert about this , but imo it seems unusual
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 01:43 AM
1

i do have the full custody , but depends on how old your kid is you guys should talk about on who decides on what
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 01:39 AM
1

Hey man go seek help.. I know its confusing but hire an expert regarding this.. the tax that will appear later can mess you up
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 01:28 AM
5

I seek hookers and alcohol as well man, but i did my best to help myself and luckily found something that works . But I started watching stand up comedy online and it helped me cope as well
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 01:26 AM
1

Hey man that was tough, but glad to see that you are at least sure on what you are doing. . some guys i have talked to just goes thru divorce or separation blindly
/r/Divorce_Men19/01/26 01:23 AM
1

you are doing the right. salute to you for being so fair
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 03:32 AM
3

Man for me your offers are too much and she does not deserve a damn of it..,I am no lawyer and I cannot offer legal advice but you are more than fair base on what you wrote
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 03:02 AM
4

Man going thru divorce clearly sucks and I understand that AI helped you somehow , but remember its just man made , regardless I am rooting for you so stay strong
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 03:00 AM
1

Oh man dont ever ever let someone hit you, thats a sign of toxicity .. but yeah not knowing what to do will mess you up , but you are not alone in this battle .. just focus on the kids for now
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:56 AM
1

Hey man I know the feeling of concerns, i suggest that you prepare yourself first, when i was in your situation I have gone a course online that help me prepare myself on what to do next and also on how to move on after the divorce is final. Do not just go blind imo
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:54 AM
1

if it only involved the kids , otherwise no more
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:50 AM
2

I do agree with that.. I understand that lawyers and therapy costs a lot and it sucks cause nobody wins at the end. there are lot of alternative on how to be prepared out there, I have used a course that helped me and shared it with other dads. Luckily it work out pretty well so go try some alternatives brother
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:48 AM
1

if your son will be living with you there will only be pros in my opinion otherwise nobody wins , divorce changes relationship so imo the best thing you can try is getting your kid/s to love you more cause if you dont love the mother anymore .. then you dont have to consider her just go , at least thats what i will do
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:45 AM
1

That was tough man but we have to follow what the judge says.. its fucked up yes and you should see your kids all the time. . I have been there and have to battle 2 of hell just to get the custody , so hang in there
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:38 AM
2

Divorce sure ruined all of us, mine was losing my kid but I luckily get her back.. I can buy new dog or new cars but the kids man.. the kids are the most precious
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:32 AM
2

Nice positive thinking man. I know how it feels missing someone you loved for years, go get her back brother if you feel that it can be fixed
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:27 AM
10

I know how it feels man, not seeing the signs until its too late.. I'd say let her do her thing if she wants to be alone, you just focus on the kids and do not even show them that you are not ok , stand strong
/r/Divorce_Men18/01/26 02:17 AM

When i was going thru my separation , we didnt set up any date.. i just left as soon as I can
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:50 AM
2

I am so sorry to hear that brother.. it will be so hard to forget cause we cannot accept the fact that other men got ahead of you if you know what i mean , it is a different situation when we're the one who got cheated cause for us that is not the norm and it really is hard to imagine.. but nevertheless you will still forget that but it will take a long long time my man
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:38 AM
3

You are absolutely in the right here brother, if she doesn't care on what your demands , I suggest you get a lawyer if you really thinks that your relationship cannot be fixed. Big salute to you brother!
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:34 AM
1

Oh man thats plain awful, you have every right to see your kids, the court might favour all her demands but its really impossible for them to just plainly agree for you to not see your kids at all , unless you are serial killer and a cannibal then i dont see the point
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:26 AM
5

You will be better off sure you might lose a ton of money but ask yourself if being inside a toxic relationship is worth not losing money, but once you decided to do it then be prepared as it will be a tough road ahead
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:19 AM
1

Man imo you should just show up in person .. us men intend to just keep it ourselves most of the time , im sure the guy missed you as well just cant say it maybe because he also respect his daughter
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:07 AM
4

Peace brother!
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:02 AM
3

for money and reputation as well .. cause if you are known as a lawyer who wins lots of cases , that means more people will be interested to hire you and that means more money and good reputation within your colleagues
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 03:00 AM
3

at this point man lawyers are well known to do that.. even if they know their clients are guilty they will still defend them and I experienced the same when im going thru divorce ,,but if they cannot provide evidence and then let em lie.. even tho its frustrating
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 02:56 AM
1

There's really nothing about divorce that can make you say congrats as nobody does win, there are lots of help out there that helped me specially the one I have been using recently
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 02:54 AM
2

I have been in a similar situation before.. if you will read my story i even look happiness in hookers brother but since i found help i realize that loving yourself as well is not impossible , we as a men tend to just give it all and when there is nothing to give to we will feel heavy and down ., but you are not alone
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 02:51 AM
1

Oh man tough times are ahead but when your spouse on thinks about herself at all and not you means the love is dead. It sucks and frustrating at the same time , but love yourself and your 2 year old kid for now my guy
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 02:19 AM
2

Be prepared my guy, tough road is ahead and imo chatgpt is great but always remember that its AI i suggest you ask a human instead if you want suggestions since chatgpt has never been in a divorce situation lol
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 02:15 AM
4

Lawyer's job is to do whatever they can legally to win, they will cook you in any way possible and thats what a good lawyer do sad to say , but yours will do the same anyways but still frustrating for sure
/r/Divorce_Men17/01/26 02:13 AM
1

If it was the other you will be straight up going to jail, reading this really frustrates me like how can someone do that. In my opinion I don't think its about money since you mentioned that she almost makes twice that you do I think she hates you so much that she will do everything to ruin you
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 05:52 AM
7

Road ahead will be tough my guy, divorce is not easy it will change you in both good and bad way . What happened was tough specially that all has been told during NYE . Love yourself for now and think about your daughter and do your best to give her all the love you can as our kids are the only ones that we can never ever replace
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 05:43 AM
2

Yep they really do
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 05:33 AM
1

I do play video games sometimes, I eat my favorite foods and hangout with friends once in a while . It was really hard for me at first , the memories with almost made me a cry baby but I did research and found a course online that helped me moved on and I really do feel better right now
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 05:25 AM
1

By the time it gets to therapy its way too late, be prepared and ready to face it instead , there are helps out there that can help you deal with it but doubting to do it cause you are not a quitter is like saying I will never quit smoking cause im not a quitter , let go when you need to let go
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 05:10 AM
3

I am really sorry to hear that, it really sucks when someone you love told you that she only want the kid , its really not a good way to treat you like an instrument to make baby . but hang in there you have a community that can help you deal with it
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 05:05 AM
3

I am very sorry to hear that, i know its confusing and frustrating at the same time my ex also told me the same thing before . No matter what I do she will always say its not enough or I dont want that and its too late for that Was confuse at first but I just realized that she doesn't love me anymore so I loved myself instead
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 04:46 AM
1

I am sorry to hear that man I was roughly 15 years in when my wife left me, but it wasn't so amicable because of mental health issues. All I can say is if you need help speak up, and you've already done that. You have a whole brotherhood behind you that is willing to do whatever we can.
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 04:38 AM
2

man that really sucks , i mean std? the first thought that comes to my mind is how many men did she body bagged already , but still I dont know her so just sharing my thoughts but going thru divorce will be tough so stay strong brother!
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 04:31 AM
1

haha based!
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 04:18 AM
2

Do not take the bait man, that guy surely has plans and would be happy to take a punch if it means you will be ruined or so he can sue you etc. i guess you should just talk back and wait for him to punch first :)
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 04:16 AM
1

Divorce changes the relationship — but it doesn’t have to change the love your kids feel. If you are that concern I suggest you take him to school back and forth 12's still a kid imo , i'd say that there's only cons when you are not together with your kids
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 04:14 AM
1

That sucks dude, imo your ex should do her part and not just abandon it, but maybe there are reasons who knows? but it sucks anyways
/r/Divorce_Men16/01/26 04:09 AM
2

Hang in there man, first step is admitting your mistakes . Salute and respect man!
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/26 02:27 AM
3

Totally agree with you there as some people go thru divorced just cause they are mad or been carried away by their feelings, I'd say try to fix it as much as you could before checking out
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/26 02:11 AM
1

do not just walk away mane cause assets acquired during the marriage are often considered marital property, with laws varying by state , and yes you can hire a lawyer as I am not sure how it works on different state . I am rooting for you :)
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/26 01:45 AM
2

Was an empty piece of a shell before , I did research online on how to deal with post divorce ,,found one that helped me a lot and of course with the support of my family and relatives , just dont turn in alcohols etc. whenever you feel down, time itself will do its work
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/26 01:38 AM
1

I was the same when I first started the process on how to deal with hearings etc. I just saved record of conversations as much as I possibly could and gone thru some courses online that helped me big time
/r/Divorce_Men15/01/26 01:32 AM
1

Man you should seek legal help for this , i mean changing lock is one thing but not allowing you to see your kids personally is straight up abominable , only the court can decide whether you can see your kids or not, you are not alone but I understand its frustrating at this moment

being married means you share material things equally but assets you bring into the marriage generally stay separate unless you mix (commingle) them, but assets acquired during the marriage are often considered marital property, with laws varying by state on how they should be divided so yeah earnings during marriage should be consented with each other as far as I know

I should double check first with a coach man , for me maybe there is another reason why she lacks energy when it comes to you , not saying you are doing wrong and forgetting about your birthday just really sucks

I understand the struggle man, I was a poor partner myself that just could not get it together. I said hurtful things when I was triggered, wasnt there when she needed me to be, looked at women lustfully on social media (didnt ever reach out but I did look) and I lied about things I would change that I never did until it was too late and she was checked out. One step at a time is all it took , and luckily i have found help and got to move on

I get you man my wife left me in April but decided to breadcrumb me throughout the separation period. Our divorce was finalized about 3 weeks ago and the next day she blocked me, said I was trying too hard to get her back and that she doesn’t have anxiety when we don’t speak. Later that week it came to light that she was bringing another man to a concert that we were supposed to go to and also a few of my friends had been trying to get with her behind my back throughout the separation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
