this is a terrible rationalization.

Good point!
/r/MensRights24/12/12 01:18 AM

define everyone that disagrees with you as a feminist point out that feminists control everything permanent victim hood unlocked!

The real one. Where false accusations are rare. Where men's issues are not the result of a feminazi conspiracy. Where activist groups achieve change by engaging the wider community and taking positive action, not just having hateful, bitter circlejerks.

You know, this sub would have a lot more credibility if you guys abandoned this false rape accusation fetish. The blind paranoia and seething hatred for feminism around here stifles any genuine positive action on men's rights. EDIT: Your downvotes are delicious. Tell me why I'm wrong.

Wow, somehow you missed the the dissection of the victim's actions in every rape case ever.

These are a satirical and perfectly valid retort to the typical anti-rape advice given to women - 'don't walk alone at night', 'don't dress slutty'. If you're offended by this, you've missed the point.
/r/MensRights29/11/12 12:02 AM

Please, continue. I dropped in today because people were assuring me mensrights was not full of idiots and trolls. It's nice to be proven right.
/r/MensRights14/11/12 07:03 AM

Well, you're certainly enhancing the reputation of this subreddit.

Calm down. No one is going to be arrested based on information gathered in this fashion. Don't start talking about 'rape hysteria' without being aware of the 'false accusation hysteria' absolutely rife around here.

Again, I'm not disagreeing with you. I am pointing out that the writer of the article explicitly states that the ONLY criteria a man looks for in a sex partner is a vagina. If you believe that (I dont), then that doesn't represent an 'open mind', its total a bestial fuck-anything mentality. Note: I do not agree with this. But this is what the writer unwittingly implies. He is trying to put down women but in doing so he demeans men.

It's not a statement I agree with, my point was that if a woman's only qualification for obtaining sex is 'have a vagina' then by implication the writer is himself demeaning men.
/r/MensRights20/08/12 10:06 PM

Sorry pal, they're in too deep. A red flag like this would be called out as deplorably weak argument by a a high school freshman, but here in mensrights it doesn't raise an eyebrow. This total inability to distinguish the bad rhetoric from good, as long asit supports their feelings, is as you say the reason this movement will never mature and prosper. Which is a crying shame, because there ARE real issues that affect men that could use awareness and support. Unfortunately they are obsessed with …

tl;dr herp derp whuddaya know this is women's fault as well, just like everything else!

If this absurd generalisation is true - if 'have a vagina' is all women need to be sexually successful with men - doesn't that mean that men have no standards whatsoever? Why is a men's rights advocate stripping them of agency? Also, this article, whatever it's argument, is clothed in the most atrociously bigoted language imaginable.

Yes, preaching to the choir is far more constructive.

But I don't believe that. At all. You're flat out wrong. Why would you assume that?

You're right. 'stop worshipping pussy' was obviously a meaningful and valuable contribution to the discussion.

Please read what I said again. It isn't just about straight - out - rape. It's constant sexual harassment of varying degrees If you think it isn't happening I urge you to pay more attention. Maybe ask some women you know about it, unless you think they're all too paranoid and unreliable to know.

To whom are you ascribing this belief?
/r/MensRights27/07/12 01:11 PM

Your half baked pop psychology fails you. 'Standard female controlling technique'. Do you really believe this stuff? You have seen the Tom Cruise character in Magnolia, right?
/r/MensRights27/07/12 01:09 PM

Yes, hello?
/r/MensRights27/07/12 01:04 PM

No, the casual hate you're spreading such as your previous comment. 'Pussy worship'? Really? That's how youre fighting sexism?
/r/MensRights27/07/12 10:46 AM

You do know that it's shit like this that will leave you resentful and angry for the rest of your life, right?
/r/MensRights27/07/12 10:37 AM

What does that even mean?
/r/MensRights27/07/12 10:30 AM

I get that reference.
/r/MensRights27/07/12 10:30 AM

You actually have no idea what you're talking about. Sure, she isn't necessarily going to be raped the second she lets her guard down. But the leering, the comments, the threat - for some women, it never stops. It's just a fact of life, and one which, I think it's fair to say, we as men really don't appreciate.
/r/MensRights27/07/12 10:20 AM

Ha, rape jokes. This is what gives this place such a great reputation.
/r/MensRights27/07/12 10:17 AM

You're an idiot if you think she is making life decisions based off one reddit post.
/r/MensRights27/07/12 10:16 AM

Every single comment here is in furious agreement, each of you spurring the others to more ridiculous outrage. What is the point of a forum with only one opinion? What are you gaining except anger? Where is the constructive discussion about how to make changes? You could do so much better.

This is a pretty dumb article. The selfless actions of these men were likely due to the fact that the women were their significant others, not because of their gender.

you might have missed the part where I was on your side
/r/MensRights07/05/12 08:48 AM

downvoting them into oblivion solely because TwoX is a female-oriented board that didn't want opposing opinions / facts presented? ... you do realise MensRights is exactly the same, right?

Aaaand you just cherry-picked the phrase "white straight men" out of the above comment and constructed a straw-man out of it, conveniently ignoring everything else said. You are proving onetimer's point. EDIT: Don't downvote - engage. You want to break the men's right's stereotype? Open up.
