This "fact" is the equivalent of saying children from wealthy families have more opportunities and are more likely to finish college. It completely ignores every sociological component in this discussion. In this case, absolutely no injustice has occurred because the trial isn't even over. I don't feel like I'm confused, but I could be wrong. I probably shouldn't have said anything because I don't know how gender relations are in your country. In America there tends to be a statistical advantage to being male in the workplace. Women trying to take advantage of gender norms for their benefit is never a good thing, but it doesn't seem like it's the problem of the workplace, rather it's more related to overall ways of thinking.

One of my coworker's husband slept with their foster daughter and was sent to jail for it. The coworker stayed with and defends him to this day(not defending that he didn't do it, defending that he did). The fact that he saw real jail time differentiates this from OP's story, but people generally tend to be stupid when it comes to those they care about.
