I think the key here is that the 'yourself' you are being is not fixed, you can change whenever you decide to. Your point definitely still stands though. Also some guys find it hard to tell the difference which you evidently can. Have friends that are girls does not mean you are "friendzoned" by them all. It's just a different type of relationship which is in many ways just as important as a romantic / sexual one.

She told me she got it about 6 months ago, coming up very rarely. She got tested for it by a doctor though who confirmed it was herpes.

Yeah, she's incredibly conscious about when it is and isn't flaring up so only says we should meet when she's has no symptoms at all. She was given it by her ex who lied about having it so doesn't want to put anyone else through that.

Certainly there'll be an element of that, police force reflecting the attitudes of the people. Ultimately comes down to the two countries simply having extremely different cultures, at least in this respect. Of all this things the US has going for it, a respected and capable police force is not one of them.

Ok, but the suggestion that I am supporting would counter that, and create an incentive for people making false accusations not to do so. However, there are still cases of actual rape that happen and we can jeaprodize those either. A middle ground can be found, my question was just trying to find it.

Interested to hear what 'people' you think I am? And I understand where you're coming from but would caution you to abandon the Rule of Law because you think it doesn't work perfectly. I would say this proposal is a step in the right direction, I just wanted to make sure it doesn't take away what was good about the way it was before.

Ok, I'll play devils advocate here. Does that not then discourage people who have been raped from coming forward, out of fear that they wont be able to prove what happened? And if so, would that inability to receive justice through the court system not perhaps turn into anger, which could be expressed through illegitimate means such as a smear campaign by the victim or their friends?

Would courts be able to tell the difference between someone who cannot prove they were raped, and someone who is falsely claiming they were raped? If so I can support this, if not I would be hesitant.

Exactly, I've seen another team mate of mine swing at the paramedic trying to pick him up. Its easy to get angry at them but at that point they almost have no idea where they are or what the fuck is going on

This is what I'm thinking. When you get a bad concussion you can become irrationally angry, I've had a couple and found myself cussing out my team mates who were only trying to help me. So take a concussion and add a bruised ego and I'm not surprised she turned it down
