Last thing you need is someone bitching at you about a family event that you “must go to”, “why you didn’t do XYZ”, Had an ex that got upset at me for not trying her mom's cranberry pie at Thanksgiving. There were like 6 desserts to chose from and I grabbed a slice of the two that looked best to me. She took it as "disrespectful" despite me getting seconds for the other 5 main dishes her mom had made but didn't even say as much and just pouted instead. It always feels like there's so much pressu…

If you buy the ETF through the broker who provides it (ex VGT through Vanguard) you may not have to pay commission on the purchase itself but each ETF or mutual fund has its own expense costs. They are typically less than half a percent but you can typically find good stuff for less than 0.10 (read as $10 for every $10,000 invested per annum).

How is this math supposed to work? Since you should be losing eggs at a rate of 1 per 3/4 weeks (aka a static rate) then a 7% delta over 10 years = ~143 years of overall fertility which obviously isn't right. What am I missing here?

would you say religion is a phenomenon that women can use as a way to keep their guy in line, so to speak? No. I think religion is a larger form of control for men and women alike. I grew up in the church. The notion of 2 people married before and joined in unison under God is an endearing concept. Complementary roles, men and women created for one another, the family that prays together stays together, etc etc. It sounds great on paper. Problem is the evangelical community has the highest divor…

I mean I get what he's saying in the sense of if you're rich enough you'll still be alright if you cut your worth in half. Still a retarded stance to hold though as people don't typically want to give portions of their assets away for no reason except for charity regardless of if they have 10 bucks or 10M. Just because you can afford to do something doesn't mean you should or want to. I can technically afford to pay cash for a Lamborghini right now but why the fuck would I?

It's a coping mechanism for some men, it's a result of experience for others and it's a lifestyle choice for even others. It varies based on your life and desires. Specifically for the first one, back when the incel boards were still around, they would joke about how MGTOW are incels pretending to be volcels. I think that's true for some guys. Maybe some are super ugly, maybe some are socially awkward as fuck or have poor hygiene, maybe some are average guys that just have difficulty navigating …

If you're getting unmanageable levels of stress at your first engineering job out of college where they don't even know what to do with you yet, you need therapy and shouldn't be coaching people on discipline, work ethic and of all things anxiety disorders (CBT). Yeah, I'm sorry man, it happens to a lot of people. Guidance counselors never tell you to act as if you already have your degree and search for the type of jobs you can get or ask you what your plans with it are. They just explain to you which class you need to take which semester. Causes a lot of people to rack up debt for no reason and wind up going back to school as full time working adults.

Anything you do in incognito modes on browsers won't get saved to your accounts. You should probably start disconnecting devices that no longer need to be linked, turn off all stuff like search history / location / watch history recording, resetting passwords and security questions, setting up 2 factor authentification and clearing password caches from your google account for other websites and resetting those as well. Download Malwarebytes and run it on your PC to potentially find spyware.

TL;DR real question. Where does one draw the line on what is construed as a selfless vs selfish if taken from a benefit vs cost analysis ? I don't think one does. Philosophically you can argue that there's no such thing as a selfless act in that it at least provides satisfaction to the donor of some sort whether it's ethical, spiritual, physical, emotional, etc. It also doesn't mean it isn't something to be pursued, if one so chooses. I can't really agree with this. In hard times, sans accounting for luck, the strongest generally come out ahead, not the hardest working, not the best educated, etc. Saying that alphas rely on betas to survive ignores that betas have their own dependencies on customers, employers and infrastructure to survive as well. Ancient societies overthrow their ruling elite as the last installment of the circle of struggle between the haves and the have nots before the cycle begins anew. In those struggle…

Depends on the gf's and your hobbies and how frequently you're doing them and covering them. If you go out a lot to eat to nicer places and you're constantly picking up the bill, covering groceries if you live together, etc. you'll probably come ahead with the escort. It's funny, it's almost like when the promises get grander and more serious that it's them trying to convince themselves they feel that way more than it's for you. I had a girl get messaged by an ex inappropriately and she told him to fuck off, that she was serious with me and about to move in and start a life together. 2 weeks later she broke up with me and immediately started dating a different ex.

Yep. This is the same reason swingers usually fuck up their marriages or relationships with other swingers. They think they're a special kind of enlightened and the usual pitfalls won't befall them because they've thought it through but situations and nuances they don't think of inevitably creep in and human nature sets in.

Don't try to time the market going down. If I was you I would take another 12-24 months to throw as much money as you can at the down payment to get your monthly costs lower so you can look at getting the house you want and don't have to worry as much about repair costs as they crop. You can potentially also get a roommate to help keep your costs down, have you considered getting a 2 BR condo closer to work? Houses are generally not great investments, don't rush it.

Somewhere along the line "standing up for yourself" and "not apologizing for who you are" got conflated with "I should never have to change anything about myself" and "I don't require tact to say anything that pops into my head". As you get older most people will pair off and you will find it increasingly difficult to hang out with married friends. Their spouse may not like you or may not like being left with the kids, your friend may want to spend quality time alone with their SO, kids are a black hole of time and sanity, etc. Sometimes the divorced ones go through what you are now and have to figure out how to reboot their lives. 1) Next time you KNOW a girl has mental health problems, don't be a retard and go out with them 2) Screenshot the texts then block her 3) If she circumnavigates the block, then file a harassment report with the police and show them the screenshots / get a no contact order 4) If she ignores that report her to the college and then the police again. With her history in the wacko bin and violating the order, it will be enough for them to act on. 5) Magic isn't real

It is pretty amusing how clueless some women are with penises. So many of them pull on the dick when jerking you instead of putting the emphasis on pushing in, simulating you thrusting into something. It's the typical double standard though. If you tell a guy he sucks in bed he'll be upset enough to put more effort into it, if you tell a girl she sucks at blowjobs, good luck ever getting another one again. So most guys just try to be encouraging and the women think they're rockstars. At the end …

Force yourself to respond the way you want to respond the next time you're in a situation where you feel your thin-skinnedness is rearing its head no matter how much you want to do the opposite. If you're gonna throw 20-30k at it, adoption guarantees you a kid and you usually don't have to deal with an infant.

Had a similar discussion with a coworker recently. We were expressing frustration that we both felt we've experienced women in our lives lose respect for us when we open up about what is bothering us / want to be occasionally nurtured if we're feeling upset / get some TLC like a backrub or fingers through your hair. The women in our lives have expected this type of behavior from us but rarely and begrudgingly reciprocate. Even if the answer is stoicism and to always be the rock and never open up…

You're confused because you're not going your own way if you're submitting to cultural or familiar pressures. You can have women in your life and still be MGTOW, but once you get married you're giving up a lot of freedom. If things don't work out, at least in the US, you are susceptible to alimony, child support and custody battles and that's independent of if she turns into an ice princess and you've got nowhere to escape to / can't break up with her. Now if you were dating and you owned your o…

Meh. Depends how a married couple decides to merge their finances. If they decide it should all go into one pot then they should both have input on major purchases like this. Personally, I'm not comfortable merging my finances with anyone though so I don't need to run my decisions past anyone.

If a thread is crossposted and you check it out and make a comment that would be just as acceptable if you were a part of that sub, it's considered 'brigading'. Half the time mods lock threads and complain about a sub brigading them and having to delete mass comments but when you use undelete tools there's like 3 comments missing and they were just crying wolf. If a mod goes to another sub and bans you proactively from a sub you never participated in however, that's cool and not harassing at all…

Ncount of around 5-20 on average Careful with this one. I know a sugar baby who just started at the beginning of Dec and she's gone through 4 guys since then alone. The guys seem to hop from girl to girl every few weeks and 2 of them have stealthed her so far. Considering they're older guys who may have gotten something over the span of their lives and have likely been with other sugar babies and those babies have their own sizable N-counts the web gets exponential quickly.

I don't know if society will collapse per se. I think you're going to see marriage rates decline. Whether or not that matters to society, I'm still not sure. I don't think whether or not its reformable matters. I would expect it to continue evolving to be more extremist as it has been. Everything comes in cycles though so the big question for me is what comes next as a response to neo-feminism and how will it impact our society as a whole.

Don't know anything about your country but 401k is our employer offered retirement investment option. Typically a company will match a certain percentage of your income...say 5-10% for every dollar up to that amount you contribute yourself. So if you make 50k a year and your employer matches 5%, then if you contribute up to 2500 they will give you that amount of money in a tax deferred investment account. This is money you cannot typically touch without penalty until you're retirement age but th…

Getting a talking spot at a conference makes people feel like they've "made it". Generally, it's not actually a big deal. I've reviewed the presentation of one of these people who was a keynote speaker for her talk on "women in STEM", it was super low effort. The other main reason is networking. The one on the girl in the hallway, lust. And the one in the bedroom at the end is his wife.
