The thing is that they actually HAVE equal pay. The data used for the "pay" gap is for EARNINGS. When the total earnings for single women (no kids/S.O.) were paired with men who focused on their careers - the gap was only 4%. That 4% can be attributed to many things - like dangerous jobs. I don't know anyone that would work for less. And the main argument against it would be - why aren't corporations hiring predominantly women? There must be a reason if they are cheaper.
