She's right on a different level though. A key part of the reason mostly men are terrorist, insurgents or military is that societies around the world view men as disposable, and men tend to view 'defending' (Wether it's family, Islam or freedom) as their duty.

Why'd you want people to try and kill you, and why'd you want your government/society pressure YOU to kill others? Soldiers are always the biggest losers in war. If they lose a battle they die and if they win they get ptsd.

That must hurt. I hope you'll get over the anger and sadness you probably feel. All the best to you!

As much of a loser as I was, the one thing I refused to abide was cheating. Once I called her out, I told her it was over. Why are you calling yourself a loser? You were just naive, a typical downside of being a good person. Too good for this lady, in fact. It's not you who is the loser but she. After all, she's the one who's lost someone great, while you've only lost someone toxic.

How can you know they're shadowbanned if they're shadownbanned? Isn't the whole idea of shadowbanning that other users can't see them anymore?

Honestly though, there's a lot of anger on this subreddit so I'm not surprised people dislike it. I think most people here are rightfully angry about how they were treated by some women in the past. Consider this. We're annoyed when people put us away as a bunch of hating neckbeards. Why? Because nobody likes being simplified to an archetype. It ignores our emotions and reasons. But realize most women don't like being grouped as sluts and bitches. Anyway, both we and our critics would be better …

Full disclosure - there are other types of market failure than the one that I'm talking about with social vs private demand That would be EXACTLY my reply. :D I think I understand your view though: You can't OBJECTIVELY show what the social demands are or that they are more important than the individual ones. I agree with both, but I do think you can get a general idea of problems of the group (pollution being bad for health, poverty being bad for social order). Then it depends on your worldview…

I'm curious... Do you mean a new way to organize the market so that market fialures don't happen or do you mean a reframing of the issue so that you don't see them as failures anymore?

Their race and language definitely, but if there is any Asian country that is westernized, it's Japan. And by their own choice even! They've been copying things from the West ever since European traders first went to their country.

Sister is talking about how I don't deserve anything and no one will be there for me when I get old unless I get married. That's straight up manipulation. Don't accept it. You don't owe ANYONE offspring, you don't owe ANYONE a relationship and you don't owe ANYONE sex. It's your body, your life and your choice.

And they are still suprised when these guys just want to quit life alltogether? We have to learn and stand up for the FACT that we're worthy of love. And I don't mean the romantic blabla, we deserve friends and family who care about us. I do, you do, we all do. Some men internalize too much abuse, and I really hope they can start seeing themselves in a positive way again. Love thyself!

I don't know, I feel like I'm having a second anger phase Don't wind yourself up. What's that going to accomplish? Nobody is going to change because you're angry, you'll just annoy yourself. Don't let your disappointment with the world stand in the way of your happiness. Go your own way and let the rest of the world go theirs, it's not your problem anymore.

Hallelujah! It's difficult to be here sometimes though. On one hand I feel like most mgtowers that this relation stuff just isn't worth it anymore. On the other hand I feel there's too much hate here and I can feel it lingering behind every reasonable argument against relationships.

It's better to put at least half of these in the positive sense. After all, we don't want women to have all our struggles, we want both genders to be struggle free. So like: Make circumcision illegal. Don't force anyone to go kill themselves in a war. Get rid of the assumption that men's lives can be sacrifices for the common good. Make both parents always responsible for the child. Assume fathers know what's good for their child, and don't think every man walking with a child is a pedo or just …

That can also be said of the laborer. Why did he choose to sell his labor? It's not always a simple 'I must work or I will starve' situation. Why didn't the laborer start his own company with some of his saved wages? Sure, the capitalist opens his company out of free will, but so could the laborer. In the current system, the capitalist and the laborer need each-other: one provides capital, the other provides labor. Both have something to lose (capital or free time) and both have something to gai…

Yes, I saw your other post explaining Bohm-Bawerk's critique. Pretty well explained. Really necessary on the internet where most people just choose to like or dislike an idea without further research. Speaking of which, capitalism has some of it's own shortcomings like market failures. No state should be fully free market capitalist or communist. But I guess I'm just stating the obvious now, so time to end this post!

As for Collective Private Commissions, I don't believe I've heard of them till now. I'm probably not translating it very well anyway. In Dutch it's called 'collectief privaat opdrachtgeverschap'. It's normally used when a group of people want to build their own house, but band together to pay for an architect, convince the municipality, and make an overall good design. The point is that these sometimes create communities centered around self-sustenance, so they choose to create their own power, …

I'm only just getting out such a mindset. After a few years of anger and escapism I've learned that I first really need to learn to love and like myself. New people will simply copy your own opinion on yourself. If they sense you're unhappy about you, they'll just don't feel like talking to you. It's difficult to get past such feelings. Getting into your passions really helps though!

A more appropriate form of Communism would be a worker-owned enterprise where decisions are made via consensus, profits are shared, and those who are most affected by a decision get the most weight in decision-making. That way the janitor doesn't get to be bossed around by someone earning, arbitrarily, more than he does when he's the one cleaning up after everyone. Nobody stops anyone from creating such companies, yet they are rare. Collective Private Commissions come close though.

Isn't it also exploitation then to expect capitalists to start new companies and risk their investments so they can provide the working class financial security in the form of jobs?

Well isn't that obvious? A business owner has to make profit or he'll go bust. That's not necessarily unfair. After all, there is a certain risk in starting a business. The owner carries the risk of bankruptcy and lost opportunity in other careers. For a functioning market economy you need both: the entrepreneurs and owners who provide capital on the one side, and the employees who work for a salary on the other side. Personally I think the risks and rewards are not balanced well and strongly fa…

Just because I'm being treated with respect while you don't doesn't mean I'm 'privileged'. It means you're being discriminated against. Calling it privilege just puts the blame of discrimination on people who are not discriminated against, despite them not even being the source. If you want to destroy discrimination, the solution is not counter-discrimination, it's to overcome those who discriminate against you.

More important: fictional people are nothing like real ones. You won't find many AWALTs in fiction for boys, it doesn't sell as good as intimacy and romance does.

If the Men Going Their Own Way were strictly celibate, they wouldn’t be out of ladies' lives, but they’d at least be out of their gene pool. Don't like a group of people? It's okay to wish they didn't reproduce. Funny how it's suddenly not okay to wish the same for ethnic or religious groups.

Science doesn't have an opinion on humanity's importance, and it doesn't necessarily lead to nihilism either. Humans seem puny to the astrophysicists who look to the infinite universe, but marvelously elegant to molecular biologists who study the body's machinery. Science shows we're a small part of the universe, but also that we're really special.
