That makes sense, but I'm not talking about stripping off body armor and anything attached to the person. That extra 30 pounds would just have to stay on that soldier. I'm talking about leaving behind a 20 pound pack and an 8 pound gun. You know better than I do, but If I was going to drag someone out of the way, I wouldn't stop to pick up their gun and pack.

I completely agree.... If you can meet them, go for it. As long as the standards are the same for men and women I don't care who is in the military, a firefighter or a cop.

Women are generally not as strong as men. Biologically speaking, women don't produce enough of the right hormones to build up muscle like men. They are also physically smaller (generally). It has nothing to do with not wanting women in the military. It just explains why women aren't as fit for combat situations as men. Women have plenty of other advantages over men but this isn't one of them. Edit: I'm pretty sure they wouldn't put a 110 pound man that isn't fit for combat into a combat situatio…

Unless a 110 pound woman needs to pull a 195 pound man out of the line of fire by throwing him over her shoulder. Rethink that one.
