I would like to add my own submission statement; I used to do this. I would go for someone I thought was...I guess you could say "below" me, with the idea that this person will treat me like the queen I am, as I am far out of his league (in my mind). They usually either a) still treat me like crap, or what this woman has described also b) they gain an overinflated ego, and think they can bag any girl, and attempt to do so, while with me. I haven't been romantically involved with anyone in over a…

In my opinion, as much as everyone feels "bad" for the officers who dealt with them on August 12th, I feel they are more to blame than a lot of people realize. Do I think they should face charges or anything? No. But my reasoning is, Brian was probably abusive for some time, his parents probably enabled this behavior, but when authorities took his side, and named her the abusive one, he probably ran with that. He probably felt invincible in his awful ways of treating her. "The cops won't believe…

I would suggest the next time he threatens to self harm, that you contact the authorities. Where in from, they will put someone in an involuntary psychiatric lock up if they threaten to hurt themselves

Spending time as a single woman has been the biggest take away for me, because this sub made me realize my desire for not wanting to be involved with anyone, until I loved myself first, was far more important. I've learned to love myself enough for my next biggest take away to actually come to fruition; find a man who compliments you, not one who you feel completes you. Compliment as in, he fits in to your life and doesn't make things worse. He makes things better. No matter how HV a man can be,…

Awe sis, I'm so happy to read this! We share the same timeline I guess you could say. I discovered this place last year and it has changed my life as well. I love reading these success stories! All I can say is keep going babe! It's worth it, as are you ❤️

The worst part is it's probably just a habit she's gotten into since being able to drink, because someone had warned her, or it's the result of a bad experience already...

Oh Belinda honey, he was king of the soy boys. You'll do so much better! I can only imagine how fucked up the last few years of their marriage have been... I hope she gets a decent payout, I hope he gets a pick me who own an iPhone.

I love this idea, but sadly, many women here barely can be bothered to read the handbook. Maybe we also need a monthly Handbook review lol

Thank you, I tend to forget how much progress I've made, because I know I still have so much more work to do, but it's good to be reminded it's not all for nothing. I'm feeling hella good today ❤️

The last part you said there; "you deserve some peace." You don't understand how much that means to me. With this entire fiasco, attached to it was so much other bullshit. He stole a large chunk of my life, and made me feel as if it was my identity. Even after his death, I still clung to certain things and our relationship. You are right, I do deserve peace. I'm just glad that I, myself, finally realized that too. It definitely was not easy.

Welcome sister! I'm 32 and just discovered this sub last year! And my only regret is that I didn't find it a moment sooner. I feel as much as I can sit here and wish I found out all of these revelations sooner, if I hadn't gone through what I've been through, maybe this sub wouldn't have had the impact it has on me. I follow these rules to the letter now, and my life hasn't been better. I'm glad you're here ❤️

Her behavior with the outfit was what made me see her as a pick me. It was in a documentary, and just the way she went about everything was so calculated and desperate. And she's proud of it all.

They were broken up for a while at one point. But she was definitely a pick-me. She was obsessed with him and wore a scantily clad outfit to a fashion show, just so he would initially notice her.

So many great suggestions. Follow what you need to get better and then come back here when you're ready to date. This sub will help you learn how to choose a spouse who is good to you. Someone to compliment your life, not complete it. It's hard work becoming a high value woman, and I'm no where near there yet. You have a lot of personal things to work on before you even should consider finding a mate. That doesn't mean you can't learn what it means to be a strong and empowered woman. This sub ha…

Shallon Lester needs to be removed from the recommended list. To understand my reasoning please listen to either the short documentaries on YouTube about her by either DeAngeloWallace or Jaubrey

It was the only time he paid attention to you, and only you. It was when you felt most connected to him. Of course you loved the sex, it was when he treated you how you wanted to be treated.

One great piece of advice I've always given to my sad pick me girlfriends is "you can only sleep with someone the first time, one time." It's the same rule I once heard posted here, "he can't quit it, if he doesn't hit it." That's why FDS suggests holding off on being intimate. We become so addicted to "great sex" with shitty men, because it's the only time we feel connected to them. Turn those tables and make him yearn for that intimacy with you.

I came to visit my grandma and brought her chocolates and a card! I've been single for a few years now, so I don't mind being alone on Valentine's Day.

She also needs to own up to her lying to everyone about her age (she's actually 39, not 35), she needs to not cut down Halsey for being upset over her miscarriage, relentlessly picking on female celebs and cutting them down for no reason. She needs to stop bashing mental illness. And how about she stops dating men in their early twenties and goes for someone her own age. I highly recommend you watch the video DeAngeloWallace made about her on YouTube. Shallon is not all she's cracked up to be.

Well I feel that needs to be re-evaluated, because a lot of things she does go against many of the FDS guidelines.

Y'all should see what Shallon Lester had to say about it. Gosh that woman is awful and should not be listened to for any FDS advice AT ALL!

Reading askFDS yesterday made me realize A LOT of the ladies in here ARE NOT listening to advice here, or they feel that they are a special unique snowflake and the rules don't apply to them. They need to realize they are not the exception, the are the rule. Listening to FDS has saved me so much time, heart ache, money, sanity, I could go on. Not only does it get easier over time, but it also makes you feel more empowered over time, which is an excellent trade off.

I made a post regarding how poorly men have treated me this last year. I can assure you; every single man I mentioned on that post was HV for a hot minute in my eyes, until he wasn't.
