If you do this either make sure to be clear on levels of FGM or as a fundamental matter of bodily autonomy. The reason is that while in term of fundamental bodily autonomy it should simply be unacceptable, many ignore this and talk about the difference in harm done. Thing is, while the most notorious forms of FGM are hugely more damaging than male circumcision other forms are more comparable / analogous, and even those are still illegal in Western countries.

The issues that (very rarely) exist through being intact can almost always be managed without resorting to circumcision. The issues that sometimes happen through circumcision meanwhile are very hard to manage. The last time I was in a discussion about circumcision I pointed out many medical associations, such as the British, see zero medical reason for infant circumcision. It appears it is a bit more divided in the US, but in near all developed countries it is not.

I would point out the Guardian picks which articles can have comments carefully, will remove comments very quickly if an article is linked to by those unsympathetic to its claims, and has "Guardian picks" that are always sympathetic to their point of view. ​ There is nothing wrong with sending something. Part of the reason men don't attempt suicide as often (assuming reports of male suicide attempts are accurate given men are less likely to talk about attempts) is that they 'succeed' the first time. Effectively men cannot continue attempts as they're dead. This lowers the numbers of attempts.

Emotional abuse is common, and partners often use litigation to torment their ex-partner. OP - sorry to hear of your family issues, and the hurt you've felt. My own views diverge re: men's issues between the matter of divorcing when love fails, and the economic destitution men sometimes face through divorce, so view some of this as a family rather than rights matter. Qs What's the name of the documentary? Did they actually state MRM, or simply anti-feminist? Anti-feminist could mean a more traditionalist view than common among many in the MRM. Such statements are never helpful, both for being unnecessarily crass, and for being inaccurately represented as being the basis behind MRAs. It's like when a feminist article gets negative comments. Of course unpaid housework is not reason to obscure information about pay and professional hours worked, but when an argument has become highly partisan may understandably be used in this manner. b. This paragraph was particularly 'interesting' I think one of the litmus tests for young men who are into feminism is the age-old argument about what feminism should be called. Incidentally, I work with children, and recently had training on how to spot abuse. One part of the training was that it has been recently admitted by the UK government (official training guidelines) that a sexual abuser can, in fact, be women rather than men. I do believe there had actually been convictions prior to this, but training focuses of the required course however ignored this matter.
