I personally love the ones that go along the lines of “I showed my wife/girlfriend/fleshlight, and they agreed with me. FDS crazy/bad”.

I also think he’s slightly aware, feels she’s pulling away and that’s the cause of the tantrum online. He’s too shallow and self centred to have an adult conversation with her.

Divorce settlement. She supported his career, he will have to support hers one way or another.

I’d put money on it. The 2nd degree is the give away. To my mind, it shows she’s thinking of her future and supporting herself without him. She turned down the opportunity of a small business, she has larger goals.

My take on it is she’s getting ready to leave him anyways. Her own income, upgrade on skills and no doubt already has the emotional and community/social support she needs. This guy didn’t become a jerk suddenly, it’s been years. Kids aren’t at home any more.

Stories like this is one of the reasons why women get labelled as ‘crazy’ or ‘emotional’. This women needs psychological help not a news story.

“ It’s okay to admit that you’re no longer attracted to someone that’s aging before your eyes “ - this is spot on. At 36, I married a man 10 years older than me, (so almost 50), and it only took a few years to realise this. He was needing naps and not interested in going anywhere while I felt like life was passing me by. I still wanted a life. Obviously we are now divorced. Edit: I just want to add, I thought at 35 yrs the 10 year gap wouldn’t matter. We’re both adults right? It still mattered .

Interestingly (or maybe not), When he died he apparently had a networth a trifling $500,000 . When Tina and Ike divorced, all she got was 2 cars but she’s currently got a net worth of approximately $250 million. She absolutely showed him in the end.

So important. I was just on the Gabby P sub and someone has loaded a video thats been edited a video to only show her. It made me think about her parents worrying about her on that trip, worrying about danger from others or accident etc. never thinking for a moment (from what I understand) that the danger was right next to her. How many other parents or friends family feel the same about their loved one? How often does any ask “do you feel safe” . For mental health here in Australia we have the …

Couldn’t agree more op. Mid 50’s and CPTSD going back to almost birth and added trauma of a life lived badly due to this. Finally got the help I needed and life is getting better literally every day, ands that’s during lockdown in Melbourne. I’ve been doing many things I couldn’t healthily do in my younger days and I’m not dead yet. My life isn’t over so bring on the living. It is truly possible to heal and start living at any age.

Solidarity. I have a young adult son who I’m proud to say is emotionally mature for his age, respectful of everyone (with obvious limits), has a basic comprehension of issues women face and is not afraid to speak up calmly when needed. For example, if I walk my dog in the early evening, he will say to me “I’ll keep my phone nearby Mum”. I don’t ask for this, he just recognises that this little exercise may be dangerous. He doesn’t invade my space, but I know he’s there in the background. It’s no…

Truth. This is where real, systemic change will come from. It’s fine to look at individuals and point fingers at media portrayals, this can go backwards and forwards for millennia, and it has, but these hate groups need to be cut off at the knee, sts. Take away their oxygen tubes of hate to the outside world. Edit: apols for the rant.

I agree, it’s very difficult to read or hear for sure. I have a background in MH and DV and my first thought on reading this was that her partner has pushed her not to go to hospital. This is more common than you’d think, as the perpetrator risks losing control of their victim in the hospital setting. They risk being ‘outed ’. It’s really important to ensure she continues to have family and friend support and to get either/and a good therapist and dv support.

Whilst I agree she needs some help in the future, I think atm, this is above FDS pay grade. This woman tried to commit suicide and although she has rejected hospital right now, she absolutely needs professional help from a mental health specialist. I hope she has some family and or friend support. Maybe send her some links for MH and DV support in her area.

It may not be enough. My ex husband was a fantastic dad to my child, even including him in his vows. My son has some severe issues and he has been there more than his bio dad, and we’ve been divorced for 14years. As a husband, he was manipulative and abusive. Cried victim and lied when we separated. Still there for my son though in a genuine way. They have an amazing relationship. Go figure.

Yes, apparently he took a deal to forgo the 5th and admitted to everything, thereby assisting the women to win a civil suit. Then prosecutors turned around and convicted him anyways. That’s why the overturn. I’m I Australia, so this is quite 2nd hand simplified as I’m not up to speed with the legal system over there. What shits me most is his now claiming he’s innocent. Ah, dude, you admitted to it all already. It’s on the records, signed, sealed and delivered.

When I was a little younger and better looking, (early 40’s), my ex asked me a few times for nudes as he worked away. His excuse was, it would make him less likely to cheat. As a former pick me, you can imagine how that messed with my head. I didn’t send any, and he eventually cheated, though I didn’t blame myself at that stage As I was ready to leave anyway. These types of scenarios are possibly prevalent. He was a piece of work and I haven’t dated etc since him, and now never will.

And....the author is a copywriter, not an expert on the subject, writes advertising really. It’s a shame she doesn’t use her powers for good, not evil. this type of advice could be very dangerous for young girls. https://muckrack.com/brooke-sager/articles Edit: I want to add, I also don’t condone shaming women for their choices, just keep safety in mind.

Looks so pretty, I love it, go you! I did the same a few years ago after getting out of a 6 year abusive relationship., where it took him 5 years to put an engagement ring on my finger and then decide at the last minute he didn’t want to marry me. I was such a pick me and had no self confidence. It felt so amazing at the time to buy a gorgeous diamond ring for myself. My ex chose my engagement ring, I chose my next ring. 2 months ago I bought another one for myself on my other hand. It’s so empo…

As an older woman who’s been married and divorced twice and trying to date again, I was having trouble admitting to myself how bad the dating pool is for older women. I thought it was just me as other women were getting dates and partners etc., and I was wrong for thinking none of these men were worth my effort. They were often divorced themselves and looking for another woman to step into the role of housewife, income stream and bedroom porn star, etc that their ex wives didn’t or wouldn’t do. …
