It’s better than going places where my attention is discouraged. Plus you are acting like you know what every club in every area is like. I just gave several examples, you just have to find something similar that aligns with your interests. Being a drunk scum bag tends to work better in clubs and bars, everywhere else requires tact and creativity.

It’s like the only place that single women go… I don’t find too many single women at race tracks or mountain biking / ski hills. Also approaching someone at a club is more expected. Nobody goes to a tennis court expecting to get hit on by a random. That’s my go to though, casual adult tennis groups. A little more receptive than approaching women at the gym, but still not a trashy vain nightclub crowd. XC skiing might be the next place I go looking for single women in the outside world. You’ll be there, college. Just look for the girls who sit in front and have more intellectually demanding majors. I’ve had trouble finding those girls outside college now that I have a job in a small farming town all I find are promiscuous bar flies. I think all the shy geeky girls get married before 25 or just shut-in to be honest.

Often times love is the missing piece, especially to someone who has never experienced it. People can get by on decent jobs and hobbies they enjoy, but it all feels pointless without any source of incoming affection. Since bars are not one of my hobbies, people like me never even get into situations where we talk to women. Not many single adult women hang around mountain biking trails or precision machining shops. Dirt track races and ski hills have them, but they are all with boyfriends/husband…

My view is she cheated on you more than your friend did, as long as he owns up to it. It's better you find out now rather than two kids in.
