That's exactly the issue. Making it a taboo has completely ruined it for everyone. And why should sex even be a taboo? Something completely natural, that every typical individual craves at some point in their lives, shouldn't be something everyone is afraid to speak of. Puberty I get because that's really hard to explain to a growing child but sex to a 16-18+ year old is something that isn't that hard to explain and advice can be pretty simplistic. Yeah, talk to the schools about that one. They are absolutely worthless, spouting bullshit about total abstinence. Discouraging questions about what's what and what it's for. Most people I knew only knew what they'd seen in porn and given how unrealistic porn is most of them just assumed this and that and really it was awful. Problem starts in schools. Worsens with age. It's a bit much but I also can't feel any sympathy for her. She did a poor job gauging his reaction and because of it she suffered the consequences. She should have waited for a time when he wasn't around. Or better yet, just had the decency to not do it in the first place. They're both terrible. The roof is just more justified.
