Maybe women tend not to be cab drivers because it doesn't pay well and is quite dangerous. Being alone with inebriated strangers late at night in a vehicle is not a situation that many women want to face repeatedly as part of their job.

The majority of the group would instantly switch their diet to that of the group which was domestic to the territory. They would eat only what they saw members of the other group eating. And you see that as a negative? To me, taking cues from the group that has already sorted out what's delicious and not poisonous is a better strategy if you're interested in survival.

Perhaps that statement is a poor way to say that masculinity is more rigid, i.e. women are able to adopt some masculine characteristics with less severe social repercussions than men who adopt any feminine characteristics? You could just call out these statements as being unsupported, and see what their proponents (fellow students, your teacher) off…

Gender role theory does not depend on the concept of patriarchy, I'm not sure where you're getting that. Men and women, and intersex people are inherently different due to biology, but the prescribed behaviors for the sexes (gender roles) vary greatly between cultures and within cultures across time.

Right, because women never die in mass numbers in war. They were never taken as property by the conquerors. War rape isn't a thing. Most wars were not initiated by and for the benefit of male elites. Take a logic course along with the history. "If men were in control and women were not, why are they the ones who die while women live? " is not a premise.

It was an example which demonstrated the attitudes of the time. And for your incredible statement that women have secretly held most of the social control, THROUGHOUT HISTORY and not just in the past 100 years in one culture, yes you will need to provide SOME evidence. FYI, "women and children first" is not an example of how women were treated in society as a whole, or even on ships.

"women are better mothers" and then in the same breath say "women shouldn't have to give up their careers for their kids". There is no inconsistency though. The first statement is a 1st wave feminism (late 19th-early 20th century) position. Very few modern feminists would argue that women are inherently btter than men at parenting.
