Yep, partner 100%. That takes a woman who has worked on her inner self. Exactly the type of lady I'm looking for.

I'm 40m, 12 years living together. 1.5years out of the relationship. I want a family and an emotionally mature woman. If she already has kids no biggy. The key part is emotionally mature most women in their mid to early 20s lack that. Some rare ones have it, i don't care about age. I've been with women in their mid to late 50s. Doesnt bug me one bit.

Brother, ask yourself one question are you happy in this marraige? There is no other question ask... and i mean it ask that one question. That's your answer.

Agreed one of them caught feelings for me. She's a best friend, sweet woman with a huge heart. It's just sex.

You don't need game ... i had some sympathetic ladies.

Go for it ... i had quite a few ladies over after the separation. She was cheating on me during the marriage anyways. I learned that I'm not a random hookup kind of guy.

It's unfortunate, in this sub the thing that I've taken away: -Be there for your kids, they need their dad -Find yourself before the toxicity or the cheating -You got this!

Every so often i see one of these rants on this forum. By all means let it out. Remember to find positive outlets, gym, your children, focus on you, and yes. I'll never do another monogamus relationship after what the narcicististic parasite known as my EX did. I feel for you, move towards healing!!

Only person I've ever heard say that in person was a closeted-gay narcicist. It didn't carry much weight.

That's awesome!! I'm glad you found someone you treats you with the respect you deserve.

The apps (hinge specifically) aren't too bad. I find making quirky witty remarks to women to be fun it also weeds out some of the riff raff. Dinner, movies alone is fun. Grab a seat at the bar a make a friend. Hell i was chatting with sweet elderly couple last week exchanged numbers with a cute lady as well. I'm no suave person but I'll chat with just about anyone. I'm also going to start new hobbies, theres an open mic night where they do slam poetry next to my house, salsa dancing classes and …

40 and still letting it come to me. I've made some really awesome female friends fwb etc since my separation. If there's a connection its there ... I'm mostly just enjoying this new phase in my life focusing on weights and my job!

Hard pass, i work with women like that theyre either crazy af (chip on n their shoulder) or are tied to their jobs. Im all for a connection that's it. Like i said introduce me to the unicorn until then ...

Are you a contrarian ... or just bitter? Introduce me the unicorn hommie! I'm tierd of paying for dinner.
/r/Divorce_Men16/07/25 06:38 AM

Totally agree, i asked her if she wanted to open the relationship she just gaslit the living f out out me. I don't don't beleive monogamy anymore, i beleive in honesty and respect, if she wants to screw around so can i. I'm also a man of his word.

Relax man! I'm only 10 years younger than divorced, I've had some fun ladies not all of them that pretty and one that i just blocked cuz she's nuts. You'll be fine, get your groove going and find things that you enjoy. The women come, and of them really cute and emotionally mature!

One night stands and hookups are dogshit. I'm always looking for a connection... my "tiny" city just doesnt compare to nyc. I honesly have better luck just talking to ladies in person the apps are a bit of challenge for me!
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 03:59 AM
5

Kind of shithead attitude. There's a way to criticize withoit insulting.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 03:53 AM
3

Hows that scene? I've hung around swingers and it just didn't float my boat!
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 03:52 AM
5

Then there's your prefrence in a lady! I love a woman who has a ton of experience, she could absolutely teach me a thing or two!! I also love the very conservative brazilian. Guess what, they both have giant hearts!!
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 01:14 AM
5

Because your alluding that morality is purely based on sexual partners. Or how many people that lady is talking to... each dynamic is different. Each relationship is different, your looking at it through your goggles. Try to see people for who they are and appreciate them for who they are, some of the kindnest most generous women I've ever met sleep around. Some of them have been my best friends/ lovers over the years. Morals for me is very subjective... for me it's how you treat others.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 01:09 AM
5

And btw my other comment, I've been with women who could count their sexual partners in their one hand and with others who have had hundreds of partners. We all had chemistry, i value what's in their heart and how they treat others and their emotional maturity.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 01:04 AM
2

No, her compatability with you are what make that. You clearly think that relationships and marraige can only have one dynamic. They are unique.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 01:02 AM
8

Talking to brazilian woman right now who doesnt realize she is full blown marraige material. It has nothing to do with morals, it's what you want.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 12:55 AM

It's always been like this. I hate to ruin it for you man. Women used to date MULTIPLE men back in the day and still do to this day. The apps have made it even more obvious. Do the same thing.
/r/Divorce_Men14/03/25 12:53 AM

The AP is a good man. Glad he put you in the loop, time for the hard part, divorce her and get the upperhand.

STDs are real!! I already caught a mild one (treatable) when i didn't wrap up. Being commited so long i forgot that some women have sexual partners in the hundreds. I mean whatever floats your boat. But yes condoms are a must.

I get alot of numbers from divorcees or women who were out of a long term relationship. Haven't been having as much sex lately, but i don't need it. I more enjoy getting to know someone then having sex once you have that connection. I'm not a big one night stand kind of guy. Im just out to make friends!!

Im going to dinner alone EFF IT. I'm taking myself out, getting dressed and everything!

Does it feel right? Are you ready (i think you have look within) to ultimately share your heart with a woman again? Do you know the qualities you are looking for? Do you know where the boundaries are? Some context all my answers to the above are no.

I'm reading more and more about narcism. I sent her a series of emails proving the infedelity with time stamps and chats where she was blatantly fibbing about where she was going. She deflected, gaslit and then went through a list of grievances. I'm doing it so I can finally stand up to this deamon of a human being and get my life back. I told her I have people who genuinely love me, she just insultedv them. I'm working at being the good hearted confident and jovial man i was before i met this u…

I met a 24 year old yesterday... the maturity gap at 39 is very noticeable. I'll still pursue though, what do I have to lose...
/r/Divorce_Men10/01/25 06:47 PM

I have the same experience. It takes one message (email) or inadvertantly seeing someone posting a pic with her on it to send me on an absolute rager and tears. I have it alot easier than most of you guys, all we had were dogs (who i really miss btw). Btw a question are you past the 6 month period of not seeing her daily? I was told that's when we tend to forget the shit experiences that led us to the divorce. Could it be that which is causing your feelings?

I'm sorry your going through this. I caught some strong feelings for my manipulative ex as well, and the power dynamic shifted. My ex was the same way. Gaslight gaslight, don't worry about all these glaring red flags. Oh yes I delete all my messages ... that's normal. Narcistic behavior galore. I'm sorry you're going through this ... you're worth more than this! And should never put yourself with dealing with this BS.

Not a mid life crisis, more of she realized we couldn't have kids (mostly her) and decided to switch the blame on me. Decided to ruin mutiple trips and dates over the years over the issue above. I'm no where near ready dating ... I'm just screwing around at this point meeting friends if we have sex great if not that's ok. If you don't like me that's cool too. But if i was id list out qualities that are a must and red flags that would lead to a block. Seems harsh but i absolutely do not want to go through this bs again.
/r/Divorce_Men11/12/24 06:10 PM

Im not looking forward to the dating game at all. I'm honestly more terrified of getting fooled by another narcicist again over getting rejected by the randos. I feel for you man, you'll never know what's going through her mind.
/r/Divorce_Men10/12/24 03:20 AM
5

My ex took my "friends" as well. Situation is different because she did this right after i initiated the divorce. The lesson here being married to a narcicist is that they were never my friends. She created a social group where i could be alienated at her whim. You'll get through this. It's hurts alot btw, but i have faith in you!

Its not a woman thing, its a people thing. God I had some lady almost convince me the other night I'm a horrible person. I'm not, because i know people who have zero empathy for others who use them for their gain, and i know what's in my heart. Some people are filled to brim with trash in their lives that is all they can give out. You wanna hear something for every cruel person ive met there was someone out there who's genuinely kind.
