Hey friend. It’s totally normal to feel sexual urges and I am so proud of you for staying away from sex even though you want to have it. That takes willpower, and that willpower will help you in many situations outside of this one. More than anything you need to talk to God, even when you feel guilty for your thoughts or wants. He is the one that can truly change you and your circumstances. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. All that the enemy wants is for you to feel so guilty that you j…

You did the right thing. You recognized toxic behavior patterns and you chose not to get married and leave. I agree that as women we need to take accountability for the partners we get involved with and get out when we know it’s wrong

It really depends on the situation to be honest. Marriage should be full of joy but it’s not always going to be. Your spouse is someone you are supposed to love even when they aren’t making it easy. -Biblically speaking only- the spouse even comes before the children. A lot of negative feelings rest in an individual thought choice. I can be like “ugh my husband is so messy, I hate cleaning up after him” or I can be like “man my husband can be so messy but I know it’s because he’s had a long day …

I stopped reading after you said he blocks and unblocks you. I need to know nothing else. This is highly immature and shows that he does not know how to communicate. The goal is to get married, I assume and this is not someone you should marry.

I knew I wanted to be married as young as I can remember. I want someone that wakes up and chooses me everyday, pushes me and challenges me, and all the other wonderful things they come from a healthy relationship. I also want to break my generational curses. My mom is past 40 still begging for love, and my Dad is married but not really happily. I saw the negative qualities that caused these issues so I learned what a woman should be and stand for from the Bible which lines up a lot with rpw

Woah I always wondered if you could take certain exams without getting the degree. I’d love to pass the LCSW exam without getting a masters

The problem with this is that people are able to put up facades for short amounts of time. People know what they should be- character wise but haven’t quite had that renewal yet. So men and women would be faking their good qualities especially if they’re desperate to get married. People should find love organically, a situation like this would never work especially since women would be getting compensated for just participating.

Can I ask how old you and your husband are? Me and my boyfriend are 9 years apart and I get kind of worried for our sexual future. I would hope men still do it in their 40s and 50s

You literally just said that you went on other dates but things just didn’t progress in a sexual way. Things COULD have. You were not staying a virgin because of loyalty to this man you did it for you so why do you expect that he’s gonna stay a virgin for you? It’s been 5 years? The fact that he has true feelings for you after all this time is way deeper than sex in the first place. That is what you should be focusing on. Especially since you can’t get over him either

When a man loves you he pretty much wants to be around you 24/7. Now this is a generalization for sure but it’s a good thing to keep in mind. I too was with a man who only wanted to see me once a week and I wasted 3 years with him where I’m giving everything and he’s giving next to nothing. I got no ring and wasted precious years of my youth “building” with someone where a foundation could not be laid. My current boyfriend wants to see me all the time. He likes his alone too but his alone time i…

All imma say is a man who is purposefully chasing after women younger than him is a RED FLAG. My current boyfriend was gonna curve me because of my age because he had a rule of no one younger than 22 and he’s 29. I’m 20 though but he liked my mindset and I don’t “act 20” Only you know if the guy you’re with is hyper fixating and glorifying the age difference. Was he taken aback when you told him? Is he controlling at all? Like look at everything before you commit because you can’t know for sure …

When it comes to finding a man who is Christian, if they smoke weed they will likely not be strong in their faith AT ALL. Meaning they won’t be a good husband to you because they’ll be prone to temptation (cheating) and possibly watch porn, possibly take other drugs, possibly not have traditional values, etc. I say this because people who are Christian but do certain things that they want to do usually do not have a real relationship with God but are Christian by name or maybe just a baby Christ…

Please never delete this thread I’m learning so much! My feminine care routine is to : Brush my lips w a toothbrush softly in a circular motion to remove dead skin and old lipgloss and make chapstick smoother to apply Putting oil on my eyebrows (olive, castor, jojoba whichever I have on hand) and then brushing them out into the shape I desire After a shower use body oil, lotion, and a good long lasting perfume

I’m not pregnant nor have I had a child but the time when I was nervous I’d be pregnant I really thought about how I wanted to finish college first. I wanted to be settled into a job that I could be happy staying at for the rest of my life. I wanted more time with my boyfriend. We’ve been together a little over 4 months so far and I always wanted to have 2-3 years married before kids come in the picture. I grew up in a household where I seen the only thing holding the marriage together was the k…

I kind of have this dream of being a bartender. There would be some crazy nights for sure but I think the environment would allow me to really make friends with my co-workers and I’d get to have normal conversations with new faces all the time. I love talking to people but I hate when it’s like -regular- customer service and people aren’t talking to you normally but to ask you for a bunch of stuff.

Nobody said that. I’m just telling you that someone CAN believe you’re the love of their life but not want to get married. What you NEED to do is make sure you’re investing your time into men who WANT to be married and are in a place in their life where they are actively moving towards that.

I mean some people actually do believe that marriage is a piece of paper and they don’t ever want to be married but they do think you’re the love of their life. You cannot force someone to change their mind on that matter. Unfortunately marriage doesn’t mean that someone loves you, there’s plenty of unhappy and loveless marriages. Be happy that you are not in one of those. Beyond that I’m sure about 70 percent of woman in this world have never had a marriage proposal, that’s not something that h…

Agreed, don’t understand why a lot of women will say “but he comes home to me.” So after I work and wait for the man to get home with a meal and a clean house and maybe even surprise present waiting + all my love AND loyalty; I’m just supposed to be happy he walked in the door and slept there after having sex with another woman. Which means I’m probably not gonna get sex either because he’s gonna be tapped out. It’s not love when someone does that you you, they do it because you allow it.

I do not believe that someone that’s a “HVM” should be sleeping with other people. Regular men have that opportunity to sleep around too but because they don’t have money or status it’s wrong when they do it ? Money and Status shouldn’t get to change how a person should normally behave and I would never be okay with my significant other sleeping around. I think that this topic is one of them things that the Manosphere is toting that is harmful to women. Be Redpilled but don’t just take everythin…

Don’t just start the conversation and let him convince you to stay. He had SEVEN YEARS to get it right and hear you out. Be strong and firm in your decision to let go. He allowed you to get kicked out of your own home just because he didn’t want to put on his big boy pants and tell his parents about you. That’s very selfish and wrong, leave now before you find out just how much more selfish he can be

I believe you should leave due to the fact that you are making this post and asking. Marriage is a serious thing that cannot be broken off by just saying “we’re done”. It is a big red flag that this man is only wanting to marry you after you finally were ready to leave after being intimate with another man. He still hasn’t told his family about the engagement ring. It’s a lot. And as you said there’s always some excuse. I don’t think you should settle for that. Yes you’re getting older and you m…

Honestly texting should not be awkward. When you are comfortable with your partner things will flow together normally without you having to stress about what is communicating too much or too little. Continue to be yourself as you were and if he feels it’s too much then relax it a bit. But don’t stifle yourself from talking to him because you’re afraid. If you’re doing that it might be a bigger issue

I think the exit thing is a bit extreme. You and your husband are both trying to get to where you need to be presumably without delay. If saying “babe you missed the exit” is a precursor to destroying your relationship, I think there are bigger issues. Like missing the exit can be a funny thing that you guys laugh about later but it’s not productive to not say anything because if he doesn’t notice then you guys will continue driving, wasting gas, and possibly be late to wherever you’re going. Th…

Logically my brain says after a year or two but this depends on age, maturity, and the overall compatibility of the couple. “When you know you know” is a thing and I know I’d rather get married to my person than wait a time that’s like “logically acceptable”

Yes ma’am you give up. I dated my first of everything for 3 years and I wanted to stay because I didn’t want all that time to be for nothing but he wasn’t the one for me and he was never going to marry me and even if he did it was going to be an unhappy one because he did not value me. Cut your losses, it took me 3 years to learn my lesson but you seem like you already know wassup. The more you hold on the more of an attachment you’re going to develop making it way harder to leave later. Love yo…

After reading that you guys never hang out until a random day where he wants to have sex, that told me everything I need to know. Don’t waste your time and energy on this man. The guys who values you will love you OUT-LOUD I promise

The problem is that you’re relying on motivation to be a reason to do something. There are days where I don’t want to do anything but the gym is something you just have to force yourself to do until you love it. Just like eating veggies or maybe drinking water. Of course you can fast like other comments said or work out inside the home but I find that diets and being in the house makes it harder to stick to a regimen and also get access to all the equipment needed to really get stronger

There’s so many comments so I feel like mine will get lost in the sauce but nevertheless I want you to know you are not used up. 3 partners is not even a lot of people and beyond that being in a relationship for 6 years you have shown that you are loyal and dedicated and that you have what it takes to be an amazing wife. Please leave this relationship and take some time for yourself. It’s going to be very hard saying goodbye to someone that you love but the end goal is marriage not to be someone…
