I was talking about all over India and not Chennai. And yes you are right but the other part of India has many struggles and 100k is more that enough for most people

It's rupee. He mentioned he lives in Chennai and it is an Indian city. Secondly India is not very costly. In India, an engineer who owns a bachelor's earns 8 to 10k rupees. Which is not a lot but the market is highly exploitable because of the population. If you earn 77k rupee in India, you are considered rich af. Earning more than 100k rupee means that you can spend life without worries. 77k can easily cover all that and then some more.
