leaving the scene of an accident ... [is not a felony] where I'm from In most states it becomes a felony if the accident injured or killed someone. Destroying evidence is also a felony, but IANAL and I don't know how clear intent without actually following through would usually be tried.

however the prosecutor and a grand jury might describe the Oct. 23 incident, "we would still consider this a sexual assault." I see, "guilty untill proven innocent". Interesting... Except this is literally "guilty AFTER proven innocent". The case was thrown out by the court of law, not even deemed worth holding a trial, and they still think he was a rapist.

I think GregorPike's post was in reference to why ViolentBlue folded in the first place. She was told that one rape survivor potentially had a problem with her speech and she immediately backed down instead of suggesting that person just leave the room while she's giving her speech. Yes, it turned out to be fake anyway, but she didn't find that out until after she immediately folded at the request of a single person.

She shouldn't have caved anyway. She was giving a speech at a huge convention, and one person expressed issues with some parts of a talk she was giving. If the complaint was really made by a rape survivor, and they have forewarning that a talk being given might be an issue for them, it's on them to excuse them self from the conference hall while that talk is being given, not demand the talk be cancelled or else they'll throw a hissy fit.

I guess the silver lining of that is, had his father not died when he did, there may not have been an event like this to make him realize how toxic she was to him and they may have ended up married. It's beautiful in its own way that his father's life ending was the catalyst that saved him from living a miserable life.

I think he said it incredibly poorly, but I think the point he was trying to get across is basically if you're not transgendered, you don't get an opinion on SRS. As a cis white male, my opinion is immediately thrown out by SRS members on almost every single topic due to my "privilege" apparently not giving me any perspective on anything.
