2	Senate Democrats propose requiring women to register for military draft If we are going to start calling each other names, I’d also argue that it’s childish to sign your life away to a government that has historically made poor choices in the name of patriotism. If America was on the verge of being attacked, you won’t need a draft for people to sign up. At the same time, a draft won’t compel chickenshits like W or Trump from doing their duty. However, when was the last time our country was threatened to the point where a draft was needed? Top of mind are Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. If we strongly disagree with the mission and the leadership, is it right to compel citizens to war?
