Thanks. I have no interest in the kinds of guys who are just looking for fun girls so I'm totally fine with being out of the running for them. If he called me up and told me he made a mistake, I wouldn't go back. He's broken my trust and I would always worry that he would leave again. Thank you for the advice. I do appreciate it. I actually think I bring a lot to the table in terms of a serious relationship - I'm kind, loyal, and loving. I'm financially responsible and not looking for a guy to p…

I’ll read it and try to keep an open mind. I do have to say I’m a bit skeptical - I don’t think I could love and respect a man who I feel like I’m only with because my “value” in the dating market has declined. I need to love and respect the man I’m with, as well as be excited to build a future with him and I do think my standards are very realistic already

Why do you think I have those things? I'm a healthy weight, I don't have tattoos, I'm financially well off and debt free, etc. Thanks for the rest of your advice, just not sure why you think that.

I guess? But I would have been happy to marry my ex. So I don’t think I have unrealistic standards and I’m not holding out for some Prince Charming.

It's only 0.7. So I'm unlikely to get many eggs in a retrieval.

This is exactly the pep talk I needed. Luckily I am attractive - though I think less so than I used to be when I was younger. But I work out and stay in good shape. Thank you for the encouragement and advice.

Thank you. So you found good options even without wanting children? I want children badly, but even more than that I want a loving relationship with a man I view as a life partner. So even if I run out of time to have children, the thought that I can still find a loving partnership is soothing.

That's true. My own mom had me at 39 but I went to have my hormone levels checked when the breakup happened and the doctor told me that my levels are very low and I'm likely to run into problems earlier than the average woman. Which freaked me out.

I suppose that is a plus. I do worry that many men who want kids will write me off because of my age

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
