The only one who cannot recognize the efforts of the other here, is some men here towards women. Ah. I see. Here's what I have to say to that; if you don't enjoy spending hours on beautification to look good for your date, then you obviously aren't interested in him. It shouldn't feel like work if you were interested, right?

You're just straight up denying that there are guys who had to work hard to get a relationship, succeeded and things worked out? You're actually telling me that doesn't happen? You're actually going to tell me every single relationship that worked out, the guy was completely and totally free of any anxiety at every step of the process?

I think you have an extremely difficult time grasping this because you keep talking about relationships and not including the initial dating process. You are putting the cart before the horse, unsurprisingly because the initial courtship process is a completely different experience for the man and the woman. I'm sure you think you were both doing and feeling the same way, but that speaks to the effort that guy put in to cultivating that experience for you and making sure it looked like he was ju…

I don't know what to say to that. There are a million things in life that mentally exaust people because they want x,y,z to work but it takes a lot to make it work. That's like nearly all of human anxiety. I need this job but fuck me this interview is wearing me out. I want this six pack but I also like eating every once in a while. I really don't want to do this paper I need to do for my degree. This is very extremely common. People that want things, get stressed out when they are trying to get…

The idea that treating the object of your intentions and affections with effort is some horrid task is like: buddy, you ain't that about her. I would agree low effort implies low interest. But to say that not enjoying the effort implies lack of interest....nope. Dating can be the most excruciating when you actually really want the other person. That's the neediness problem at play.

How long were you in that relationship?

Too many women get caught up in their romantic narratives and don't realize some of them are horror stories from the male perspective. The "I fooled around with all these guys, but they didn't treat me quite right until I found you, so I'm going with you", is not the great story you think it is. Please keep it to yourself. Every boyfriend you've dated didn't tell you even 5% of the outrageous shit he has beaten off to that he didn't even ask you to do, let alone got you to do. You're better off …

I don't need a passport. Traveling is part of my job. And 1000 dollars is a lot for pictures that don't matter. People that think they need to go anywhere around the world for its own sake are operating on a very privileged mindset.

Are we talking about relationships or dating here?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 03:20 PM

Yeah, I notice a lot of women love to post pictures of themselves on tinder visiting all these beautiful spots. I get it- you want to seem interesting and all, but all I see is , "Yeah, I ain't got the disposable income for that life so I have no fucking chance".

And the wife and kids were usually right there with him in those fields. Industrialization is what has led to things like the work commute, public education and careerism, which separates young adults from extended families, parents from children and husband's from wives. The SAHM/Provider dynamic is called "trad", but it's actually not. That was created by industry. Historically, family was a group project towards a common goal that was not an abstraction. Toiling in the field was something eve…

However, the overwhelming majority of those who did manage to become something else: artists, writers, academics, explorers, scientists, philosophers, were men. A negligable number of them. Nearly all men that have ever lived were born of low station and died of low station. That is the norm. History is the story of exceptions.

Exactly this. If emotional labor is a problem, go read some men's self help crap on how to "just don't care lol". If it doesn't work, then welcome to the party pal.

fathers being actively involved in theirs kids lives is a recent phenomenon You have it precisely backwards. Fathers not being involved in their kids lives is a recent phenomenon started by the industrial revolution.

No employer wants to hire a person who is desperate for a job and who tells them "as long as you hire me, I promise I will learn how to do the job well". This happens litterally all the time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
