I see. There is like conformity, unclear rules, everyone is watching, reputation, and so on. Which app did you find your wife?

I assumed it is well known that dance, or ballroom dancing particularly, is sexual in nature

I agree with you that dating apps are very unnatural and has perverse incentives. On my end, I'm thinking of someone who has the goal of "pick any woman and love her" and from that perspective, then being on a dating app may be better than not having that point of access. It increases the chance of success if that makes sense because of the availability. However, I know from my experience that i become almost instantly insecure upon downloading and using the app. It rocked my whole sense of self…

Agreed group activity is great. Dance in particular has erotic undertones so that's why I said dance and not ceramics. I guess all of those can be erotic in a funny way

I think ghost is saying he felt rejected, disappointed, and/or humilated by the women in that particular dance class. While that experience is probably true, it doesn't apply categorically to women or men. Also, the answer is not to avoid embarassment but to shake it off and move on. Embarassment is normal, and often it's a rite of passage to join a community and gain respect.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
