Thanks, I realized that after posting - guess I wasn´t expecting such a warm welcome ;) It´s good to know that it doesn´t matter.

Hey, apologies for the late reply, I was offline for a while. Sure I am interested. Send me a PM!

I am not in any feminist subs, but thank you for the advice!

Thanks man. I walk on my toes sometimes to see if the waters are friendly. I don´t regard MRAs as transphobes and never have, but Cassie Jaye´s film (the Red Pill) really awakened me to the kind of ridiculous reactions MRAs get when talking about men´s rights. I get the part about not wanting to give way to ideological ground. I guess I´d just rather not be a part of the battle lines, just as much as I don´t want to be seen as "in need of protection" by the regressive left. They regard me as inc…

The binary guys that I know of don´t want any BS. They intentionally steer away from the drama that exists in transgender communities and live their life. Most of them don´t feel victimized and don´t feel the need to voice any protests. Edited to add: unfortunately they also think that they have been awarded male privilege, and that women have it worse in society. I don´t think a lot of them would speak up for men´s rights.

This. I don´t have any experience with TERFs (and I don´t think I want to). Most trans people are kind of sticking it to themselves - the narrative of being oppressed along with the idea that society is dismissive of women´s rights and the patriarchy needs to be destroyed. Most of them experience some kind of guilt for some perceived privilege they have acquired and feel that they should compensate by apologizing for it and protecting people who don´t have said privilege. It´s very noble but I d…

I tried discussing it with some close friends, which was hard enough (but they´re still friends). Thanks for the pointers.

True, which is why normally I don´t bring it up. It´s not really relevant to my opinions as an MRA anyway - it´s only relevant in the sense of being accepted as such, which it seems I am, and that´s enough for me to stick around. @your question. The way I interact with people has completely changed. Hormones don´t just influence how you look but they influence the way you think and interact. So it´s kind of hard to just pin that down on presentation as male vs female. One thing I´ve noticed is p…

Discussions of any kind are fine to me, as long as there is some respect involved. Nobody needs to be completely pro-trans as far as I´m concerned.

I wish I knew more MRA´s to be honest. I know nobody in real life who considers themselves MRA.

I wasn´t suggesting that MRM is right wing, but I get the impression that transmen (and women) who support men´s rights are generally more conservative. If you defend "traditional masculinity" you get lumped in with the right-wing pretty fast.

Hey man, factsd0ntlie basically answered for me but yeah, as for your second question. Depends on what you consider "worse". There is more expectation on me now in the sense of having my shit together and just "deal with" things. Girls get a bit more leniency and understanding, whereas if you´re a dude you´re just expected to perform and explain why you do what you do. If you don´t your credibility kind of suffers. It´s not "worse" per sé, just different.

I guess I´m a little insecure about my own views. I live in a very liberal country where these issues aren´t being discussed at all, except in a very conservative niche. In the conservative niche transdudes (and transwomen) tend to have a really shitty reputation. This has given me a sort of instinct to be on the defense immediately. I´m glad to hear you get this question often and that there is no big deal being made about it. It will help with opening the eyes of my more liberal peers out ther…

Thanks for this man. Posts like this show how ridiculous the quaraintine of the Red Pill really is. It’s all about growth, and it doesn’t just apply to romantic relationships - the creation of abundance influences all areas of life. I wish more people were unto this. Kudos!

Your mindset is in your way. Couple of people here said it already. Drop the idea that your childhood defines who you are. You decide right now who you want to be.

First - a book is a collection of ideas written by someone who comes from a specific background and experience. Don’t ever pick up a book and conclude that it’s the absolute truth (with the exception of rock-solid scientific research, perhaps). There are many pick-up teachers, some good and others not so good, some are just full of it. Reading the passage you quoted, sure - there might be women who are like that - but to apply it to all women would be ridiculous. I’ve seen a lot of guys working …

I think the pressure to be “in a stable relationship” is unnecessary and unrelated to age. Plenty of people in their thirties, forties and so on feel the same way you do, from time to time. Are they odd? Maybe. But they live life on their terms, according to what they feel is right in that moment.

I recently had one date after not having had one in forever (think years) and not being with a girl in also forever (think years). What helped me was I searched the internet on this issue, and found an article that basically said she’s nervous too, and to make her feel comfortable with you instead of focusing on yourself (worrying if you’ll be cool etc). This takes the focus from you and puts it on her, where it should be. It also humanises the both of you. Also: my date was a lot less intimidat…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
