I've never heard of this. Most people I know use multiple forms because some people will be die-hard for one app and that's it. Or ones like Zelle won't connect to certain banks.

It varies, it really comes down to whatever their set of moral values are, and some people certainly aren't above hypocrisy. I've had both low n and high n partners; neither cared, but I also go for types that wouldn't care to begin with.

Sure. Some pop culture programming, some narcissism, some biological preferences. I generally like people more the closer they are to me, because I love myself. My partner is the same racial mix as me, same skin tone, hair color, etc. His personality is different but we both share a lot of values and past phases in our lives.

I don't think I'm necessarily that. I was pretty nerdy for a chunk of my teenage years. I just think it's concerning that anyone would stake so much of their worth on how the opposite sex sees them. It seems unhealthy. I care what others think to the extent I need to, (like making sure I'm professional to employers or loving toward my partner) but it worries me that the book seems to validate that chasing other people's praise and desire is "normal". I some a lot of people are like that, but it …

I have zero idea why these passages and the "cool girl" one is quoted so much. It's kind of sad if women really put that much stock in men's perception of them, imo. I feel bad for people who relate to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/22 11:56 PM

I will talk about anyone's appearance any day in proper context, critically or otherwise. I'm part of the reason my childhood friend was able to get a gf. No one else was helping him refine his tinder photos or telling him to hit the gym, given a lot of his other friends are overweight alcoholics. Being able to be critical of appearance is generally how people improve their own. It shouldn't be so frowned up as long as appearance isn't equated to being more or less moral.

Yeah, I was curious snd googled this too. They just look like normal people, honestly a bit more masculine for some of them. None of them seem to stand out as super attractive.

His hair, his arms, how he dances, his smile, his eyes, his legs, his ass, his chest, his voice, his beautiful dick, the sounds he makes, the fact I know I can tease him or just mention sex and he's ready to go in seconds. That he likes being playfully bullied and controlled, that I can tell him what to do in bed and when. I plan to propose to him in the future and he knows that. I love him madly and deeply.

Nope. They're exes for reasons, even if they were decent guys. Two things I believe you should never go back to: exes and old jobs.

Yes. I think most people do if they develop normally. Especially if you have better or more compatible partners after them. People also grow and change, so the person you loved when you were younger may not be the same as the person you love as you age. Also I wasn't in love with the guy I chose to lose my virginity; I just didn't want to be a virgin anymore and hooked up with a long time friend. It wasn't a big deal at all imo.

I feel rude when I just straight up jump to "i have a partner/i'm too old for you/i'm not interested" out of the gate but men looking for platonic friendship seem to be kind of rare so I just assume. That's on me to rein in my bias I suppose.

Honestly he just gave me an opening to do so, so I took it. I wish I could also let him know it's okay that if he doesn't want to keep talking/he's not looking for friends. I'm busy as is and I've also just dropped someone when they weren't interested in me. It shouldn't be so frowned upon. Time is a valuable resource and people shouldn't feel about about being greedy about their time.

Is it rude to upfront tell a guy you have a partner when it's not relevant to the conversation? I recently did a class for something and exchanged numbered with some people, and one guys has been hitting me up to make conversation unrelated to the class. I essentially need a polite way to tell him I have a partner because he could just be looking for friends and I don't want to make him feel bad. I've definitely met women who try to use sex yo get relationships, and others who are seeking genuine connection and enjoy having sex for sex's sake. I do think the women who try to use sex to get someone to date them are actually a minority and tend to have self esteem issues; if you have healthy self esteem, you're not going to feel the need to "make them like you", you'll trust they'll like you if you're compatible.

I'm known for reforming "bad boys". Because I have an edgier style, they think I'll feed into their hedonism (and every once and while I will) but what they're really getting is someone who will encourage them to workout, go to bed early, make them go to health food restaurants, force them to try green juice, and cut back or stop drugs entirely. Honestly this doesn't sound like a bad idea. Though I'd say people pay attention to the type of club they go to. They danced and never interacted then gathered any bills and went backstage. The idea is that life is divided into 3 stages: the aesthetic (early life), the ethical (middle life), and the religious/spiritual (late life). Key idea is that early on, you are focuses on "aesthetics" because you are figuring out your identity and role within social structures. You care about appearance and more superficial things. You are inclined toward hedonism and beauty. Mid-life, you begin to care more about ethics and giving back, because you are now old enough to recognize that aesthet…

Interesting. I went to college in the midwest as well. That context regarding the professor makes sense though. My mother still warns me about sexism in the workplace (which is true for some, depends on the industry and your peers) but she thinks it's everywhere, because when she was my age, it was.

Making a slutty friend is not a bad idea if you want to desensitize yourself to the topic of sex. Yeah, putting women on a pedestal is a 100% certain way to be let down; I've known women who had that expeirence because they really believed Disney prince types are common lol. It could help to try to have no expectations of others. The glass ceiling isn't really discussed as much at this point; I haven't heard it discussed at all since I was a kid. I don't know about other countries, but at the point the only thing that is discussed as far as workplace "oppression" is the pay gape, which is really primarily a gap that exists because women decide to mother. It's their choice, so it's not inherently oppression imo. Nothing is forcing them to be mothers and leave the workforce/surrender opportunity. Glass ceiling was more of …

Some women do like men, some do just put up with them—same as men engaging with women. The important thing to remember is never 100% of the group, even if it feels that way, because it can generate a cycle of negative experiences because of potential self sabotage or unwillingness to even engage. Which is okay, no one had to engage if they don't want to. Is it not more encouraging to think some women exist that like sex enough to where they'll have sex just to have sex? I would assume that means…

I wasn't implying you said that. I'm adding a comment on the thread of ways people will suggest men are oppressed. It's tangential.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/22 11:57 PM

My main confusion is why men think not being chosen by individuals is someone equatable to oppression. Someone not choosing me for a job because I don't qualify for it doesn't mean I'm oppressed.

is it more the topic of sex or people who just have regular sex? because there's definitely people who have a lot of sex and don't talk about it, since it can be a private topic. you may interact with people like that and not even realize it

All the men I know who have vasectomies (sans one) are in relationships/married. They're definitely getting laid to some extent. It's moreso to practice having confidence—the paradox is, how do you have confidence in having confidence when confidence comes from experience? You practice it by putting it on the best you can, aka faking it, and eventually you will realize it becomes easier, isn't as scary as it seemed, then become genuinely confident.

Those are shitty women, then. I've had partners and male friends discuss body image issues and cry in front of me. I met the first guy I loved while he was crying and asked him in for tea. Because most western women lean liberal and that tends to include the hot ones, whether people will admit it or not. Men will go for the hottest women when they can, regardless of their political stance, unless they're at extreme odds or politics is very important to them. Conservative women are less common unless you're in a very conservative area, and then they may have more traditional or plain look aesthetics, whereas liberal women will lean into racier aesthetics or alternative or edgy look…

Not sure where you're getting those numbers from, but even if they're accurate, the issue is no one wants to be the bottom rung of society. People will scramble, kick, push, and claw to be above others and have more power and comfort. If you open the doors to paths of betterment (education, birth control/family planning) people will take it because everyone wants the best quality of life possible. To restrict access to these things would be to imply certain people are simply not worthy of such t…

This. Kids are basically not worth it unless you really, really want to be a parent. The amount of energy, resources, time, and labor they take to raise properly is inane; doing anything less, imo, is unfair to the kid. If you want to be a good parent, you as essentially agreeing to sign over your around 18-25 years of simply legally raising them and being semi-accountable for them, helping them, etc. As someone who wants way more than most people I've encountered, I can't imagine ever being at …

He was the first person in like 4-5 years who made me nervous and excited. I knew I was very attracted to him out of the gate, and when we discussed that the feeling was mutual, it went from there. I wasn't nervous until he walked in and I saw how attractive he was. Apparently he felt the same way, and our opening conversations were endearingly awkward where we talked about a lame picture book for Grumpy Cat that was on the table (coffee shop). We're both 24, actually. I dated a guy in his middle/late 30s when I was about 20/21. I'm fairly active and have been since college, but man my body does not heal the same it did when I was teen, and it's slowly taking longer and longer to heal from injuries if I get them. (I have a tendency of pushing myself too much.) Health starts to seem to nosedive, or, at minimum, deteriorate for people once they get toward 40. If they don't get themselves in check or take care of their health, it is very …

As someone who dated older: physically capability does diminish with time. Almost no one is as fit or limber as they were when they were younger, unless they ramped up the intensity they exercised as they got older. Even then, your healing factor isn't the same. The career thing is a valid point. It's different to be a jobless college student dating vs. adult with a full time schedule. Sleep schedules are often different too, but sure, none of this stuff is inherently that way, but it often is. …

Yes! It is like an "inner child" aspect. It's someone being able to suspend judgement (whereas younger kids are still developing their judgement) about social rules and being able to just be primally silly, strange, and fun. I've never quite found the term to explain it fully, but people who have close ties (partners, siblings, friends, children) tend to understand. Humans are weird, and while it's normal, people seeing that side of you as an adult becomes an intimate thing because of expected s…

That's a discussion for each couple to have. My partner and I both use porn, but lately we've been using it less and doing a lot more prolonged foreplay. I don't consider someone using porn as them being "disloyal".

Honestly being able to be weird and strange is an underrated part of relationships. My partner and I say weird shit to each other a lot and jump around sometimes, make nonsensical sounds at each other. I don't do that with anyone else, except maybe my sister. There's something about being very close to someone that enables you to just be weird without them looking at you funny.

Currently, in America, who you can and cannot date is not determined by legislated. Has it been in the past? Yes. Are certain relationships illegal in different countries? Yes. But we recognize such restrictions as outdated and unnecessary, and the majority of the country does not want to go back. People don't respond well to the country saying they can only be with certain people or they must have X person.

Because dating is a specific realm that hinges on individual actions and isn't legislated by politicians or strangers. When men are somehow turned away from jobs because they're virgins or single, or lose their right to vote, then that's now something that needs help. But having trouble with women in your personal life is not something that can be legislated away.

Obviously? This doesn't have to do with approaching, unless you'd validating the fact that you should only approach or date people you really like. Personally I've found 2 of my longer relationships on OLD. My current partner and I met on tinder when I was looking for a relationship and we hit it off out of the gate. We've been together a handful of years and live together. It's as simple as only accepting partner who meet your criteria and being a good partner back.

You don't have to be the best, just passable or good enough. Just don't be the slowest animal in the herd. Personally, academics are insanely easy for me, but ngl I am an awful worker. I'm on reddit a lot, on my phone, doing work for my personal projects and side job—and the reason is because my day job isn't something I care about. You have to find something you either enjoy or care about, and wanting to be better or good at it will become a strong desire.

Not that I'm aware of. Most women don't. Many dye their hair, though. Hair extensions are typically a celebrity/"glam" thing or a black thing. I don't know a single woman close to me who uses them. I think a lot of the selective outrage has to do with the people who are unhappy when they experience age gap relationships. Men make up the majority of sexual abusers, and heterosexuality is the dominant sexuality. I'm a chronic nail biter since getting my office job. I had really nice, natural nails when I worked retail. I wear fake nails sometimes. A pack of nude nails at sephora is like $8 and then you just glue them on and paint them. They last about 2 weeks, 3 if you want to reglue them on. I've never gotten my nails done professionally but will do these semi-often. My nails are natural right now because I've been sculpting and need them short anyway.

I think if men don't want to listen to women, that's fine. If they do listen to women, that's fine. Whether they fail or succeed has zero bearing on me so I don't personally care what they do. I know listening to certain women over men helps. I'm part of the reason my childhood friend was able to get a gf because I was only one who told him directly to hit the gym hard and I actually helped write his tinder profile and picked pictures for him. What works for some may not work for others.

I get hit on randomly by men both older and younger than me, but it's not an everyday thing. Granted, I don't go out everyday. I usually just go to work and then home. Maybe out to run errands. Ime orbiters tend to be a thing in younger social circles. Most adult men and women will quickly leave if you don't show interest in them; it doesn't make sense to waste time pursuing someone not interested or partnered. I do have exes or guys who try to pop into my DMs once or twice a year, but my (male)…

To an extent. I may be no true scottsmaning it. But feminist women I know aren't as you described. Some may let or enjoy guys paying for dates but none expect it. We are in a very blue region though and most women I know make as much as their male counterparts.

This dude is like a 4.5 from a glance. I honestly just skimmed the video looking for him so I'm assuming he's the asian guy with short hair? Height doesn't matter much to me so that could be why. The 5'4" guy I dated was way more attractive than him.

Feminist women are supposed to be 50/50. If it's rooted in egalitarianism, that's the goal. I personally think it's unfair to put the entire burden of paying for dates on either side. Everyone should expect to pay their own way. People who don't are users or actually more traditional than they'd like to admit, or hypocrites.

That's not necessarily true. My partner and I left leaning and I could be considered very feminist depending on who ask. No, because I'm in a stable relationship, but getting my birth control was actually difficult for a while. I actually had to sit down with my partner and talk to him about if anything worse happened, I'd understand if he'd want to break up if all birth control got banned, because I would go full celibate before allowing myself to be pregnant. He said that he'd just get a vasectomy if anything. I'm really careful about my birth control in general and never had real issues or concerns with it, so …

It's obviously an evolving defense against increasing housing costs. Seriously though, I don't think it's going to cause any sort of downfall of society. Working out isn't unnatural. I specifically didn't mention that because it is natural. We should probably all be a little more lean if we're talking OG natural. I will say cosmetic surgery is big with female fitness influencers, though. I'm fit and follow a lot of gym women for inspo and motivation, and a some will go get boob or butt jobs because they're not happy with their very fit and hot bodies. Gym culture carries its unique dysmorphias for both sexes.

Because some people find certain looks are not naturally attainable for themselves and dismiss them as unnatural. The rise of cosmetic surgery and its advancements have made subtle work more difficult to pick up on, though. Extremely attractive people are somewhat rare and a good portion of them sink money, time, and energy into their looks which has some overlap with enhancements. Since that's becoming more common, natural people get dismissed as fake or unnatural.

Only in the sense that you are killing the same type of organism in different stages of it's life cycle. That's exactly what it is. Something being made of human DNA does not inherently grant is personhood. Tumors have human DNA. A dead fetus or stillborn infant has human DNA, as does an adult corpse it medical vegetable. We do not generally consider these "persons" because they lack autonomy and evident consciousness. Having human DNA does not equal having personhood.

There's more than people on here would imagine, and many who do want relationships, the issue is the women either don't want them back (for various reasons) or they can't land the person they want for whatever reason. A woman imitating or putting the moves on a guy is usually a pretty positive sign, yes lol. I do think people making others wait a prolonger period before having sex when that's not what their previous behavior shows can be a yellow or red flag. I do think the wait period determines that. It's the same for me, and then I'd say 1/3 or 1/4 guys I know (about half that is male on male, the others female on male). Obviously we'll probably never have truly accurate data for that, but having it would likely dispel some myths that it's not common. But it is true that it's likely to be someone you know/met vs a stranger in the bushes who grabs you.

I think part of this is even assuming the guy was assaulted by a women. Most men I've met who do have SA trauma or something usually had it happen to them very young (like under 15) and it being another guy assaulting them is more common than people will let on.

Some people have such nice, natural smells that it evokes something visceral. I am also an underwear sniffer because again I just love smell.

Aborting in a certain stage is nowhere near aborting "someone". The argument returns to "When is someone a person?" and part of what makes someone a person IS consciousness. If something cannot feel pain, shows no signs of cognizance, cannot live on its own, we don't tend to consider those things people.

And some may not want it. That's why no one should be inflicting their desires on masses and people and things should be left to individuals, not governments and strangers. You're a libertarian, that shouldn't be hard to grasp. Your opinions on what's better is not 100% shared. Acting like it is not productive nor factual. It's just a viewpoint.

I don't think it's "most". There's different schools of thought regarding it different types of feminism; some view it as overall damaging, others view it as an important, justified path to income and that it should be seen as a valid work choice and not illegal. I do think it's damaging to women ad a group, but I "support" it in the sense that people are going to do it anyway, and I want them to have legal measures to protect themselves and not have to operate in ways that make them additionall…

You are often forcing them to make a conscious choice between then suffering and others suffering. If someone is not conscious and lacks many of the social connections already autonomous individuals have, there is minimal to no suffering in them not being alive. They do not have to risk suffering or causing suffering, and they may not even be aware that would have ever been a thing, may not even feel pain. There's yet to be concrete answers regarding the abortion issue. Acting like forcing peopl…

Being upfront, I am not empathetic in general (my coldness isn't limited to this group, I'm just not the most empathetic person overall.) I don't ever expect others to see things as a real issue until it impacts them. (Using the recent threat to abortion rights in America, I was upset that men didn't care much about it, but realistically I didn't expect many to be concerned, especially single men, as it hardly impacts them.) The thing is, we can't force anyone to feel for us or love us. Love can…

You're the just the flip side of the coin. It's cruel to make someone be alive and then have to kill themself when they simply could've been spared all of that. Saying, "They can just die then." moves the burden onto them when they didn't even have to bear such a thing. They didn't have to have connections with others and choose to suffer or makes others sad. There is no distinctly right stance with this. They're both valid. They're certainly trying to, but as long as majority is doing fine, it's unlikely to be one, especially if there's no solutions that don't involve subjugating others or gov-mandated gf type shit. We can't know if someone who can't consent would want to live or not. I wouldn't have cared at all had I been born or, precisely because I wouldn't have even been here to care. Viewing maximizing quantity of life as "good" is not objectively good. It is a personal viewpoint. You can argue it all you want, it doesn't make it objective. You're entitled to your stance but a fair amount of people on the planet will not agree.

Sex and relationships are new required for minimum survival in any western country. All our base needs are typically met. They are needed for a higher quality of life, sure. It is bodily autonomy, because deciding at which point something is alive partially determine if we need to determine it's autonomy or not. It's clear that it's alive in some regards, but then it's also about how alive it is. A vegetable in a hospital is also alive, and we still pull the plugs on them.

Only patriarchal religion appeals fits the claim you suppose. Anything pagan, new age, or matriarchal doesn't tend to demand gender roles how you describe. People tend to hate anything that forces them to do something that feels "unnatural" to them. Not everyone is going to fit in to an conservative, patriarchal religious community nor does everyone need to. If it works for you, great.

Bodily autonomy is literally relevant to both the fetus and mother. The crux of the debate is really about who's bodily autonomy should be prioritized. Like if info one day comes out that a fetus or baby has no sense of pain or consciousness, we are all going to look like ignorant apes for prioritizing their "rights" over those of someone who's already living and clearly has consciousness. Groups of people not having sexual relations (that can lead to children) is actually a good thing, especially if these are people who seemingly weren't able to compete in the dating/gene pool. It's not an actual problem unless those demographics try to make it a problem. It's natural.

Honestly the moment abortion became an issue, there was likely no chance of a red wave. The right went WAY too extreme by trying to run on an anti-abortion platform. Even people in rural, red states don't want to ban it. Republicans really thought people, specifically women, were willing to put the economy and inflation before their own bodily autonomy...lol. Inflation and economy mean jack shit to people when they feel they may lose rights to their physical form and future.

Not certain on that one, I'm not from PA and have been more focuses on NV since I'm here and it's a swing state. I had and still have a feeling the state may go red, but I think we stand to keep some dems in the house. Our mail-in ballots won't be fully counted until the 12th, I believe.

Things are tight in swing states but there was certainly no "wave" that media and news kept proclaiming. Yeah. There's a lot of products for people of both sexes to care for their looks, but women tend to be the biggest buyers of those products; it's not like it's exclusively for them, though. Some men use those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 09:21 AM

I will try again! Honestly I just want one close female friend because all of mine live far away/out of state.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 09:19 AM

Option 1. I do not want any children. I'd give up sex entirely before I'd ever have a child, and I love sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 06:33 AM

For a platonic date? Sure, if I had other stuff to do, too, as I did here. I like to work at coffeeshops so it's not uncommon for me to show up early to work before meeting people for things. I waited longer than 30 mins because I was just working at that point. No use wasting a perfectly good latte and atmosphere because someone bailed. For a real date? Maybe—if I had stuff to do. I'd think it was rude either way and expect a good reason, but I always bring things with me to do to cover weird g…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/22 06:24 AM

I never believed this behavior was exclusive to women doing it to men, but something does seem to make it more "acceptable" for some women to think it's okay. idk. like at least send a text? 🤷🏻‍♀️

That's the thing though, not all women are picking like that; a good amount are doing fine. I've never been involved with a guy remotely like that. I know women who have but there's less of them than there are women who are in normal relationships with decent men. Some people have awful judgement, but most are doing fine.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 08:33 PM

I've gone out with women before and been ghosted online or had dates show up a little late (i'm typically early) but this is just weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 08:32 PM

Bro I know. She didn't have the address for where we're meeting because it's a new spot and it's not on apps yet, but I sent it to her when I got here. I'm likely just going to go over some editorial stuff for a meeting i have on sunday but it's real weird to be stood up for something platonic lol. She could just be mega late but if it hits an hour I'm gone
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/22 08:31 PM

I hate it lol. I've been ghosted (but have also done the same 😬) once after exchanging numbers and this is the first time i've gotten to the point of trying to meet up irl. I have no idea if this girl is gonna show up but it's going on 30 mins late now :/

The weirdest thing is this is just a platonic thing and she responded up to the point of actually having to show up. Not sure what happened but we are officially an hour from the time we were supposed to meet up and she's neither shown up nor responded. F.

My experience with a larger age gap was about a 16 year difference so it was much more palpable than if it was, say, a 7 year difference. Even now my partner is a little less energized/limber than I am but it's an incredibly subtle disparity. I was active and trying to do things like skateboard with friends do, well, young shenanigans. So that's part of where my take comes from. Maybe I'm wrong in assuming people get more tired as they age, but I'm certainly less energized than I was at 19-20. B…

I had a response typed out and just lost it rip. Overall I agree with this, but I do think there is some validity to "the wall". But the caveat is that it hits everyone differently and at different times, but most people, male and female, are past their physical prime by the time they hit 35+. Some people arrive sooner, some later. I think what annoys some people is the weird blackpill type emphasis that looks are all that matters and once those go, you're fucked. It's simply not the case. People get to judge what they want to do with a potential life they're creating. Partially because, like you said, we have no way of knowing what this potential person would want. There are some people who wish they were never born; there are some who are indifferent; some love life. Also some people do help. They donate time, money, energy, resources to help the less fortunate. There are social programs that everyone's taxes feed into. Our society cares when it can afford to, but the issue the …

I think the 20ish women liking 30ish men is hit or miss. People can change a lot physically between 20-30, especially if they're not maintaining their fitness. Like I have some coworker who are 27/28 who I swore were older because they look like full on dads. (Overweight, thick facial hair, balding). There's were's people who are 28 and get mistaken for being 22. There variance is intense sometimes. For me, any guy who looks like a dad is off my radar, as I'm not looking to date a dad type. (Or …

I have no idea who Austin Butler is but Kaia Gerber is pretty and so is Vanessa Hudgens. Idk what the issue is here. Also why do you care so much about what other people complain about, especially if it's older women you have no interest in? People getting concerned about "hypocrisy" are typically hearing different stances from different people. And even if people are hypocrites: who cares. If it's not interrupting your life, why do you put so much energy into something? Truly baffling.

I agree, unless they believe they're witnessing a distinct power imbalance. You could have two people the same age, but if one partner is being very aggressive and dominant over the other, people may get concerned about an imbalance or abuse. Age gaps are simply one of the most immediately visual things, you can't hide it like bruises, financial dependency, distinct difference in intellect or life experience, etc. When I was dated older guys, I did have some older women who didn't know me show m…

Some of them, yes. I believe this about people of both sexes over 35ish who haven't found a long-term partner, assuming they want one. Anyone left post-35 either didn't want a relationship, is divorced/left a LTR for whatever reasons, or is a "leftover". They're not necessarily LQ people, but the people who were never able to secure anything good when they were looking for were either vetted into failure by others or decided they didn't like their options. I do think LQ people tend to be leftove…

I've never "made my own misery" but I was never too concerned about if I found a partner or not. I wanted one but acknowledged I'd perhaps never find someone I liked. I did struggle to find someone I thought was worthy of my efforts, but it's not like it depressed me, led me to settling, or making bad decisions with dating. Everyone's got their own paths, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 04:52 PM

Depends on the people, but my rule of thumb is any gap of 5 years or less is pretty acceptable assuming everyone is a legal adult lol. 5-10 years can be touchy but still work if the people are very compatible and the older guy genuinely looks younger than he is, or the woman older. 10+ is going to be seen as a little creepy even if it's a perfectly healthy relationship. The age gap is probably notable, and people will judge you for it.

Is the implication here that a 10/10 woman would not be superficial or that attractive people don't struggle to find others they think are worthy of them?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 04:38 PM

Idk if i'd call them entitled or lazy, but they did mess up the economy and societal landscape to some extent. People being lazy and entitled is less about generations and more about certain types of people that have always existed regardless of when they were born.

This is an opinion, but you're entitled to it. I personally find boomers the most annoying because some of them seem legit fear-brainwashed.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 04:04 PM

Ngl, if you are conventionally attractive in a traditional manly way, I feel like that would attract more superficial people; same for a woman who's very conventionally attractive in a feminine way. People get obsessed with aesthetics, especially if their abstract self if not well developed. The only people I see having a bad time dating as the dumb, ugly, or severely "damaged" folks, mean as that is. I've never seen a smart, hot, put together person struggle past finding who they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 04:02 PM

Preselection is people becoming more interested in someone because others are into them, they're "preselected" by the group. Technically, gay men could do this. You yourself mentioned sometimes gay men find straight men attractive or at least will evaluate a guy's appearance. Who's to say womrn wouldn't also be interested in the guy for the same things? Leading on? That's not even the topic here dude. Someone asked for others takes on if befriending gay men helps you meet women; in my experience, it does. Some guys here bow to argue the importance "preselection" and gay men trusting a straight guy enough to introduce them to you is technically a facet of that same idea. The difference is it's just a different demographic than other women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 03:51 AM

I've personally dated guys below me in socioeconomic class but they always have good manners, are respectful, and are hard workers and usually seeking to elevate through education or profession. While it's less common to share values when there's distinct class disparity, it's not impossible. I think women will date a little down or up depending on what they're looking for.

You don't have to, though. I usually did one day on, one day off. Or in the early stages 1 day, then a 2 day break, then back to it. You can start slow too. Just run around the block once or twice as a steady speed until you have the urge to push farther/faster.

You can desensitize yourself with too much exposure. I do like some heavier bdsm stuff but I also like more vanilla stuff here any there, like pretty amateur couples (there's a girl called Coconey on PH and I like her stuff.) Butt stuff, MMF, femdom, general rough stuff. Some of the kinks I have are less related to sex and more in the SM realm which isn't inherently about sex.

I used to do way more cardio because I genuinely find running to be meditative. I used to workout then run around the neighborhood for 30-45 mind and just zone out. It was especially fun to go as fast as i could for as long as i could in the middle because there's rarely serious reasons to push your limits like that irl. I do use some dumbbells but i am gentle about setting them down because i hate drawing attention to myself. hence going to the gym at odd hours.

Precisely. It applies to men, too. Midwestern guys have nothing on coastal men, imo. The closer you get to monied areas and cities, the most attractive the populations tend to become. Class plays a role too. The mf who can afford organic, fresh cooked meals and has a 1 job, is likely to look different from the person eating fast food 2-3 days and works 2 jobs.

You're 22, yes? It's part of the age. People don't tend to start getting more serious about love/relationships until around 25ish. As 30 encroaches more people will likely look for a long term partnership and want "real" love. Many people in their 20s haven't given much thought to what they're looking for; I only had to because my tastes were so niche. And even then that's a little early depending in where you live. No one's saying they need specifically female friends or male friends, just that they do better with friends. Plenty of men and women who have sex often yearn for a legitimate connection with someone they like. Anyone who's had a lot of sex will know it's still lonely when the people you're banging don't actually show up nor care past dick/pussy appointments. I know men who were/are getting laid regularly. They often want a girlfriend at some point to build a life with.

I don't believe the average member of either sex knows how to fight well. Context would be important. I do think teamwork is an overlooked element. And even terrain, I guess. Lots of factors. I think 4-5 is doable though. If we're saying American averages, that's like, what? Four 5'4", 170 lb, v. one 5'9", 197 lb dude. It's highly unlikely any of them workout or know how to fight.

Dude the amount of men who have assumed that anyone using the term "dominant" automatically means "aggressive/violent" is disappointing. I once had a debate with some guys here regarding active v. passive dominance and had two tell me I was construing dominance as violence when I had explicitly stated aggression and violence aren't necessary to be dominant. The projection and misunderstanding is strong.

That is hilarious. I can see why. I'll take it when I have a lot of work to do in a short period or if I am at a deadline and behind. I know it's bad for your health in the long run so I do my best to limit my usage. A lot of people seem unable to do that because of the way it impacts dopamine levels; if they're on it consistently for a period it makes stopping really difficult. I think the way I use it is very stable and safe, but I also can't speak for people with ADHD who may actually need it…

This is usually my default. Neutral and short. Works sometimes but I've got one of those coworkers that groans and huffs until you acknowledge her again. It's weird because she's like 40 and should be past that behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/22 05:37 PM

There's nothing wrong with that. I'll banter with strangers from time to time, men included. I just always have a guard up and assume they want something from me. It doesn't mean I'm going to scream, "I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!!" then mace them or anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/22 05:29 PM
2

I think they don't notice, honestly. I'm assuming they'd think to check so they're not needlessly wasting time on a woman who's partnered. But I am likely overestimating their attention to detail. I'm also in my middle 20s so it's uncommon for people my age to be married, and I look younger than I am so many guys probably don't even think to check for a ring.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/22 05:28 PM
2

How do you guys deal with miserable coworkers? (Assuming you aren't the miserable coworker yourself lol.) I work closely with some folks who seem to bring nothing but negative energy to the work place. They're only happy when others are stressed or sad, and the moment they walk in the place becomes loud, stressful, and irritable. I'm trying to switch jobs but any recommendations on dealing with people like this is appreciated.

Yes, I'd still think that in that situation. Any guy that talks to me outside of a work setting I assume wants something. I assume that about women too, but not always sexually (unless I know they're into women). Like maybe they want to be friends. It's not always an accurate assessment. But many women default to it because that's one of the primary reasons men will try to interact with women they don't already know through more platonic means. It doesn't mean a guy shouldn't talk to them; if he…

Honestly, yeah. Strange men approaching me either means they're trying to sell me something, want money, or think I'm attractive. If it's not the first two, it's the last one. While I'm not married, I am in a committed relationship and have been wearing a ring my partner got for me in place of a wedding ring to try to stave off guys. It seemingly does not work.

So you think it's important and new to them. You think you can change things. Which you can, and so can others. All I'm saying is many people are having similar trains of thought. It's not bad. But making stable income off of it is generally not recommended because it's a saturated market. That's all.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 11:33 PM
1

what height are you then?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 11:31 PM

Given you weren't the direct topic here but are apparently seeing yourself in this archetype, I would evaluate why this resonated. There's nothing inherently wrong with trying to influence or help others, but recognize it is a common thing many people 18-25 seem to fall into. It is a competitive market and many people are all thinking the same thing: that they're special and different and have something important to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 11:12 PM

As a woman, no most women do not wear heels daily. Maybe little 1" ones on boots or something. Idk why you seem to care if some women like shorter guys or if a short guy is confident. It's not like it's hurting you.

Most women are not taller than 5'6". Not in America, anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 10:46 PM
1

"Good" may be subjective. Influencing people you give you money is what most businesses, marketers, capitalists, etc. do. It's very every day, standard. You're likely pandering to an oversaturated market given it seems every other young guy thinks he's the next big thing, but go for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 10:43 PM
0

Is this supposed to imply that 5'6" is ugly? I've dated a guy who was like 5'4"/5'5" and thought he was hot. People have different preferences. The only older guy I ever thought was hot is like 5'6".
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 10:30 PM

I feel like 5"-7" is generally what most women are fairly happy with but I do think that could be considered erring on the side of bigger. I also think the preference correlates to the size of their booty but I could be wrong w that

Dramatic lifestyle changes could certainly be traumatic to a child, especially young ones. Suddenly you go from a suburban house where you're home with mom after school and go to a nice school, to maybe being in a 1 bedroom apartment and mom now works two jobs and now you're zoned for a different school and leave all your friends because dad didn't want to help cover the cost of you existing. I think this is an extreme example but not unheard of, no?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 04:11 PM

I disagree. Some people have heavy internalized shame or shame themselves, or it happens privately in homes sometimes. Personally, shame has never worked to make me not do things. I just compartmentalize to keep people from knowing my business so I don't have to deal with the inconvenience of their thoughts, or more wild people mistreating me. It's not because their thoughts or opinions themselves do anything. It's the physical actions that may manifest from it. But opinions alone do not do much…

I suppose it's because the idea is that if both parents were doing the expected, together-family thing, the child would ideally be getting money and benefits directly proportionate to the dad's income. (Which isn't inherently true; you have wealthy men with families who gamble, are stingy, don't want to spoil their child, etc.) It's likely to give the child what the court thinks they'd have gotten if everything was "typical". Or men who make nothing. If you make next to nothing, is $20 child sup…

100%. I do think the things people are ashamed of are something they learned was shameful for whatever reason, it doesn't typically come out of nowhere. I think the only time shaming needs to be publicly addressed is when groups are going it to the point it impacts someone's ability to function normally in s community or environment. Like if pol are throwing drinks at you or screaming at you, stoning you to death, etc. That's an issue because the shame has now turned to violence. But if it's jus…

I get what you're saying but the thing is it's not technically AirBnB discriminating, it's the individuals putting up the listing, which may be a legal gray area since it's closer to subletting than a rental where they're the landlord. If it bothers you, file a complaint to AirBnB or look up if there's legal measures you could take. If this is a problem for you and you think it's worth fighting for, then there's avenues to do so. People are allowed to decide who gets to come on their private pro…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 04:32 AM

Honestly I keep thinking about what I'd even say during a purge week and nothing solid comes to mind. Maybe some callouts? Eh. A lot of people here seem to use this as a place to dump bitterness and anger and it makes me want to tell them to do better but in a really sharp manner. But even then it's just funny because I watch them shoot themself in the foot again and again. Like you can take the bullets out of the gun and they will reload it and shoot just to have something to complain about.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 04:25 AM

is it just that some people say "no men allowed" or something? It's just individuals putting their own properties up for nightly rentals so I don't know if there's much that can be done about it. If they were landlords that might be different. Idk about the laws regarding that, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 04:21 AM

just discuss the inclusion of extras. i don't know why this is such a hard thing for people to grasp. if you can get someone else to consent to essentially being a novelty partner/toy (and people do have that kink) you can just do that. I stopped caring about it around age 12. I don't usually go much for it. Last time I dressed up was a couple years ago for a small party; my partner and I were Morticia and Gomez. I appreciate that I can dress a little weirder if I want and get less looks. Otherwise it's just another day.

I love bisexual guys. I prefer greatly over straight men. If my partner (bi male) and I split for any reason, I've likely date another queer woman or try to find another bi guy. Being bisexal doesn't make a guy more of less masculine imo. One bisexual guy I've know was in the army and a beefcake. Like very much a man's man. In both ways lol. If a guy I was with was bi but had never been with a guy and wanted to, I would 100% be down to let him explore that within reasonable boundaries we'd set a…

What SheMyHeroine said. You gotta trial and error too. Rules are good but most people are not super cut and dry with what looks good in them simply because of "rules". They're more guidelines. Personally I think shape/cut matters more than most other elements for fashion. I've also made the mistake of founded glasses (and then really angular ones) and turns out it's like somewhere in between that works for me. Everyone's body is different so it makes sense. Some can just be more sensitive than others. I've had mine thrown off by antibiotics and then because of using a diva cup. I don't believe I used the term anti-social, but "undesirable" in some capacity. Like I said, they're not bad people. Many can be social, funny, or kind. Often they've got some sort of physical detriment or age factor going on. Obviously there's always been some conventionally successful and attractive men who see sex workers, but I still believe they're a smaller majority than those like them who don't. I imagine those men would be more likely to use/cheat with a plain Jane who's easy if it's j…

Interesting, I've always preferred men and women who are similar to me as well: mixed with light brown skin, dark hair, slim. Idk I think it's generally a very good look and many agree. Though racial ambiguity has been trending upward in western attractiveness since the Kardashians.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/22 04:03 PM

I feel like people ignore this point, often. Most men do not opt for sex workers for a mix of reasons, but wanting to be genuinely wanted (sexually or romantically) is a major one.

I've never had that tinder experience but sucks to suck no matter your sex, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/22 03:55 PM

I don't know if that's true, but anything from antibiotics to leaving period products in too long can throw off pH. Same with wearing polyester underwear or tight leggings. Sperm could impact acidity, but I'd assume it's take quite a lot for it to throw of pH and or need to be from different men. It's probably not the best or most accurate gauge. But I don't blame anyone for not wanting to interact with rank coochie. Those smells can be strong.

I'm not saying it's an issue. I'm saying it's still not the norn. Society heavily stigmatizes sex work and using sex workers. I've had many men, strangers and friends, be very candid with me about their escapades because they seem to think me having a history of working with dommes means I'm someone they can open up to about sexual taboos. The young men (like younger than 23ish) are not paying sex workers. They're sometimes buying nudes, but they're not seeing women like that. Some guys have act…

Then men I've met who use sex workers tend to be 35+, nerdy, awkward, or unattractive. Or a mix. They're not inherently bad people, but there's a reason they see sex workers. Meanwhile, the guys I know who have sex "on tap" with a hot girlfriend(s) or even boyfriends, are not going to do that. Sex workers, despite many people trying to de stigmatize them, are often seen as "dirty" and risky because you don't know where they've been and because you know they have an incentive for sex that's not a…

Most men I know aren't going to strip clubs. I don't keep company like that; also most of them do not have disposable income like that, either lol. Most young guys don't have the money to hire a sex worker and many I've met see it as something shameful or gross.

You can't, but you can have a hunch. I think generally you can kinda tell. Like men who are social and good looking and have people after them will likely have never "needed" to do such a thing; why would you pay for sex if you can get it for "free" already? It is like high n women where there's no 100% certainty. But you look for things like values, behaviors, age, appearance, how much money they have, etc. Seeing sex workers if also illegal in most US places so it's heavily stigmatized and alr…

Yeah, it can. I never said people were single because they're "bad". The issue is ascribing to whatever moral system doesn't inherently guarantee "goodness" or success in return because the world does not function on any moral system, and has no objective reward/punishment system. It's all about how you operate and how other people respond to you that determines the situation(s). And we cannot control others, at the end of the day.

It's all going to vary person to person and by how much they like their partner and why they're with them. Some people can afford to be insanely picky and drop anyone at the drop of a hat and find someone just as good or better, then you have others who will withdraw slowly if they're unhappy and then jump ship when a better option appears, others will stay because they'd rather have anyone than be alone, and then some will leave even if it hurts over misalignments of value.
