Yeah that’s what’s disturbing It revealed shitty philosophies and distorted ways of thinking and they somehow intellectually weaseled their way out of needing to change it

No they literally did not, they brought up pop feminism and misandry Neither of those things are the metoo movement in themselves although there is significant overlap. Everyone is a victim to some sort of hierarchy oppression and they didnt even invalidate it. You’re gonna have to draw the lines for us on that one king wizard. Also tell us what you think about Rawls, walzers, marcuses, and forsts tolerance principles. Thanks for your time in keeping us all on the up and up
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/07/25 02:16 PM
2

So when men talk about their experiences it’s “less valid” to you? This person didn’t even talk about victim blaming and conflating it with misandry they talked about pop feminism and how it can be misandrist which is a documented phenomenon. This is why we made this subreddit To have honest dialogue and not be derailed. You’re trying to hard and abandoning logic. The young ones are being misled and the greatest tragedy is that we had a chance to set it right but shame and guilt are wielded like…

Ok I was just making sure we’re on the same page But yes I’ve seen things here I heavily disagree with but id rather talk to people about it and let it be known if it’s wrong, how wrong and why it’s wrong
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/07/25 10:35 PM

Not sure what you’re trying to get at with that one

Not to the point that they can’t be talked about, oblivion doesn’t exist
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/07/25 09:54 PM

Ahh yes because everyone must agree and shun bad things into oblivion even tho we know that doesn’t work
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/07/25 09:53 PM

lol ahhh so you’re not here in good faith. Makes sense now I tend to join many subreddits with “opposite” ideas so that way I can find out “from the horses mouth as it were” And you asked me so I asked you, pretty simple how that works friend
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/07/25 08:14 PM

Ahhh then I stand corrected on the specifics but I think you’re missing the nature of propaganda then, where’s here for you?

You do realize that were propagandized over here right? Not everything is as it seems and I don’t think all the conflating we do about other countries is even remotely accurate. It should always be taken with a grain of salt, that’s something me and my roommate discussed when talking about global politics together. I’ll ask them myself and report back if you’d like or you can keep feeling the self-graciating need to explain things to other people.

Yeah in either situation i would handle it as described What im getting at tho is that that subreddit is rife with rage bait and I think dead internet theory plays heavily there in practice

Yeah he may be being paranoid but that shouldn’t be taken as a personal affront right off the bat And it’s kinda weird to post about it Tbh I stopped following that sub cause a lot of the posts were made up

Yeah I think when he mentioned gender bias that’s pretty much what you’re talking about here and in the og post

Yeah I feel like this ties into the whole “I just wanted to vent!” Thing. Me and my exes got into it all the time cause I was trying to be helpful and trying to lessen the pain at the same time. I basically had to let them learn on their own and then they would cheat on me with a guy who basically mindfucked them and made them subservient and I had no idea cause I was still trying to help them. Just a weird cycle that I wish never happened. Sorry for bringing personal stuff into it o just wanted…

Dawg idk why you have such a hard on for this and requesting all this of an ally like I slighted you or something? Like I said it’s a multi pronged effort and if you don’t see the utility in it then it’s not your path and I encourage you to find yours. What I mean tho is remaining resolute even in the face of opposition, having fortitude. Masculinity is more biological imo Altho it varies in degrees but not all of masculinity is toxic either. Literally explained it my dude It’s not about not caring It’s about standing in your own strength and being an example, that stuff is powerful
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates04/07/25 06:57 PM

Well it’s not just man up and take it although I feel you and see where you’re coming from. What I think this guy is describing is living by example and unrelentingly to show people there are other viable options that exist besides going with the flow or violently lashing out at it. It’s all part of a multipronged effort to change these stigmas from all fronts, we all have our parts to play

Look bro all the marketing and advertising are influenced by psychology and so they’ve created roles that they can force us into and out of over time. Women are now the strong willed leaders who don’t give af/psychopathic, just like the portrayal of men in show like mad men, first men wanted to be like that, then we got told we need to soften up, we did, and then in one fell swoop everything changed. Only took two generations, millenials and gen z

That’s kinda bunk thinking but I see how you got there. Cause look men don’t have to screw each other over, in fact they can form a bond and trust one another, that’s quite literally an option. Except we’ve been taught to fear any other man getting ahead of us because enough is never enough. It’s all lies tho! As long as the bond is equal and just, and everyone honors that, then it can work but we don’t see that too often and the ones that do do it keep quiet cause someone is always trying to br…

Well I just think it’s important to have rules be more like guidelines and to be less specific, more general. Like a rule I have is to remain open to everything and see what I can learn, working on my discernment by taking the good and leaving the bad. Rules ain’t necessarily bad but the way we implement them in USA is pretty oppressive. But we’re the people, and we’re separate from all that so we can decide what we want for ourselves, main rule is don’t knowingly hurt anyone

I think you are assuming everyone has your degree of agency tho Not everyone is like you and vice versa When thinking about stuff that you want followed you have to see if it can be applied universally. While I don’t see much wrong with what you’re saying I think when it comes to scale This sort of thinking falls flat Cause like they say “you have to learn to love yourself first” but what if this person never experienced “love” in the first place They most likely wouldn’t even know where to begi…

Guidance in general
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/25 12:20 PM
1

Because stereotypes are neutral like you said and I believe like you said in social settings they can feel a lot like indoctrination but it seems like you advocate that there shouldn’t be guidance?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/25 12:09 PM
1

I need to push back on stereotypes always being harmful, stereotypes are useful and that’s why they’ve been around as a construct in our minds, I think something Einmuffin said about knowing how to use things responsibly instead of abolish them fits this. While I think what you’re saying is important I don’t think it’s without its pitfalls and is based on a lot of assumptions.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/25 11:23 AM

Honestly tribalism is the bane of the existence and I don’t really have the vocabulary or know it all to dismantle it in any meaningful way
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/25 11:16 AM
1

Then you’re not understanding because a lot of things are being conflated here. Trauma is the cause and not an excuse, it’s a problem that we know how to fix if we reckon with it properly. I guess I go so hard about this point because what’s seen as mean or violent can be lied about and is very subjective. It’s like when middle eastern men are super giving and forward, western women can take that offensively or as a threat when it’s just a different culture than what they are used to. Not the be…

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/06/25 10:52 AM

They are more likely moderate cause ain’t no way incels are completely left wing in America lol and yeah they’re attracted to traits that every man can possess, there is no separation unless you wanna lie to yourself is my point.

No brother. They just didn’t have the same trauma you did and not all trauma is created equal. I suggest you do what I did when I was younger and feeble minded like you, radical acceptance. Parts of sufism talk about it too but that was more a personal choice for me. Nevertheless, truth will set you free, do not mistake my passionate defense of the human soul as anger but rather a countermeasure to your sustained lethargy towards the inner workings of the issue at hand. I wish you the best but i…

There’s a schism in our lines of thinking after the writers in Hollywood all got replaced right around the 2008 financial collapse. The narratives shifted right around then. Scientific processes were changed, shell companies ontop of shells

Then that is not advocating for anyone but yourselves, I’m not confused you guys are. Everyone has dark triad traits to a degree or another What you guys see as violent and a “minority” is actually trauma and pain, And it’s because we perpetuate bad logic such as your moral compartmentalization the closer we come to full blown eugenics and you don’t want that do you? Please do more soul searching and or research cause this ain’t it chief

This is not grandeur far from it lil buddy 😂 Sorry I actually came here to defend people and advocate for males rights. wtf are you doing here? You’re perpetuating a myth about men and trying to play into the whole “I’m a good one” You’ll just as easily turn on someone if certain things happen to you, you have chinks in your armor. It’s better to admit those than trying to go around acting tough and intellectual because it makes you feel good or maybe less problematic. Stop generalizing about me…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/06/25 11:57 PM

I’ve studied psych and I’ve been around people like this and I’ve helped them and they got better. I’ve seen it with my own two eyes and in a lot of respects they’re doing better than me. No one wants to be violent.

Every man has the potential to be violent, we’re not perfect and neither are girls. This literally just feels like a narrative being casually accepted when in truth it’s extremely damaging and draconian

I think it’s still important to argue with them otherwise they’ll always have the say in the matter and reporting isn’t enough

The fact that yall talk about men being “bad boys” and just the off the hand remarks you make about people’s mental health is super weird yall. Are you sure you’re not here for brownie points? Cause I thought we cared about each other here and didn’t fall into judgmental fits of contempt just because you’re not getting an ussy at the moment. This is male advocates right?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/06/25 11:30 PM

They don’t pick on “the weak” they see themselves as weak so they pick on those around them who they see as equals. Can’t believe all this stupid rhetoric in this fkin sub. Yall are supposed to be better

Downvoted for generalizing this as violent men that you can shit on. Men are humans and they deserve treatment not to be exiled. You’re just wrong in your assessment of that especially since you’re getting all your info from this video. Violence comes from somewhere and it’s usually trauma. violence is also a way to break out of trauma but more like giving that trauma to someone else. If the parents actually reckoned with the issues he was having instead of covering it up then maybe there would …
