Although I think online dating is a strong vetting tool (through which I met my husband), it's not the right tool to meet men when you're 20 and aiming for a committed relationship. In liberal cities it's hard to be taken seriously as a 20 years old girl, even by 30+ guys. The only stories I know of friends who met their SOs at this age in large cities, were set up by relatives/friends/acquaintances and the men were pre-vetted by these third parties. "All men are jerks" is a phase, and as such i…

I definitely support his enjoyment, but if he'd asked me to play with him 2-3 times a week I'd be pretty reluctant.

Yes. We have fun together, intellectually compatible and there is a lot of love and attachment. However, our marriage started off a bit rocky in terms of partnership. My Captain is passive and is often resistant to lead, take initiative or make decisions. He self-testifies that he has been like this always, so this is not a result of my behavior although it may have aggravated it. I was molded by my upbringing, education and career choices to become excellent at masculine skills, both technical …

This is very well articulated. It is an upside-down land. There is that quote from Anna Karenina, so in regards to sex life you can say, "all sexually satisfied couples are alike, every dead bedroom is dead in its own way". A good takeaway is that the regular fixes of a "slightly down with a cold" bedroom can make things worse for a dead or very drowsy bedroom. A solution will almost certainly need to be tailored to the particular case, and there might not be a one-size-fits-all. You said was in…

Thank you very much for your comment and interesting perspective. I think that even more so, the changes in attitude need to stem from actually changing her (my) beliefs. A shallow act, however credible, can't awaken a man's desire.

/u/WishIWasAMuppet explained it better in one of the comments above. Most of your self improvement progress is all cosmetic. What about the the social dynamics? Are you nagging? Are you exhausting to be around? Are you creating drama where there is none? Are you respecting/appreciating him? Being attractive to a man is more than cleavage and some Zumba in a dress. If you’re an emotional vampire vs. pleasant to be around that can and will definitely turn them off too.

Yes, this is what I meant by faulty C/FM dynamics. This is definitely a strong argument. I'm a classic know-it-all harpy shrew. I was better when we lived apart. After we married and we started our lives together -- moved to a new apartment, bought a car, started sorting out finances -- I didn't do well in most of the things you mentioned. I am for a while now working on being better on these fronts as well. It's a vicious cycle though, since although I am not nagging on other areas, I'm still e…

Low libido is a confusing definition. My husband is low libido when it comes to sex (with me?). Can easily go weeks or months without initiating sex if he can masturbate once or twice a week. It's not a routine for him but when I was away for two weeks he masturbated almost daily.

How long are you on your journey of improvement? I've been going about it intensely for about 2 months. He gets mad that I even call it a dead bedroom. He says it makes sense that interest in sex dwindles when you're over 30, that novelty wears off after two years, and that I'm the only partner he had that showed any dissatisfaction with his version of a sex life. He's my husband and I love and adore him so I find myself wanting to believe him and spiraling with anxiety trying to fight off my ha…

I do agree with the previous reply that you are being a bit vague here. Whose sex drive is lacking? Is anyone watching porn regularly? What have you done to change things? I was purposely vague, thinking that the discussion could be broader than addressing my personal case. I'm not yet the perfect wife, so I thought a lot of the advice I will get will be "become the perfect wife first", as one of the comments already said. In any case, I elaborated regarding my own circumstances as a reply to th…

You want to save a dead bedroom? These questions are the recipe. Answer these questions honestly and you know what to do. I asked myself these questions, and I was actually hoping for a more general discussion and not necessarily personalized advice. If you're more comfortable discussing a particular case then here are some more facts. I'm 31, he's 31 too. No kids, married less than a year, together for 2 years, normal weight but I'm far from being an Instagram model (5'4", 130lbs). Since starti…

I've also been steadily increasing my dress sizes, starting with US size 2 when I finished high school at 18 and now I'm an 8 at 31, married but no kids yet. I guess about 30 pounds joined me on this journey. I think the right way to put it is, when you're younger you can get away with more. With age your basal metabolic rate, the number of calories required to maintain your body at rest, decreases. So if you don't change your eating habits and/or lifestyle, you'll gain weight.

I hope my story will help you regain your faith. I was 29. He messaged me on Tinder, I was disillusioned with dating apps (as I often did) and deleted my Tinder after only a "Hi". A few weeks later he popped up on my Facebook and on the spur of the moment I messaged him. We talked and he asked me out on a date. On the morning of the date he bailed, saying he got back together with his ex. Two months pass. I dated another guy for 3 weeks and went for a month to an academic summer school abroad. O…

I went to a seminar once and the dating coach said as a rule of thumb not to put on makeup before the date is confirmed. I thought it wasn't necessary until I got stood up 30min before the date, when obviously I was already fully geared up.. You should definitely either text to confirm or ask him when he asks you out to confirm the night before.

I recommend Femsplainers. I also listen to Armchair Expert by the actor Dax Shepard, although it's not for everyone's taste. It's broadly blue pill leaning, but I like that he is a non-judgemental interviewer and asks really personal questions. Each episode feels like an elaborate session of psychoanalysis of the guest. I find it inspiring to be more aware of my own psyche and where some patterns stem from.

I feel he is the kind who would agree to do something, but at the last minute it becomes stressful for him that he would rather avoid the situation. Yes, that's pretty accurate. Alternatively, delaying making a decision about something unpleasant (even if could reduce the unpleasantry), in order to not stress about it just yet, and then handling whatever happens last minute.

When he leads, I always follow his lead. I happily make him a sandwich and bring him a cool beer. But deeply the answer is no, not as I should. I grew up with kind of strict and conservative values that respect needs to be earned by strength of character.

He has many strengths and some weaknesses, as do I and as does everyone else. Generally I respect my husband, but if it reads that way, perhaps while writing this post I did feel contempt for him. So what you're getting at is that my subconscious feelings about him is what causes this dynamics?

While ignoring your condescending tone, I will try to interpret your advice kindly. I don't insult him at the smallest thing. I compliment him for stepping up even to the smallest things and he has mentioned in the past, before and after our marriage, that he feels more masculine with me around. As I said, I did not control my emotions in these cases and I regret it. This is why I'm asking for advice, understanding that this particular behavior brings out the worst in me.

Oh, boy. I was pretty much exactly where you are at the exact same age. Living with parents as an only child and had a Mama's boy bf. Tl;dr: Get out. Get out now. Mama's boy is throwing red flags left and right and it's fairly reasonable you are currently wasting your time, that has already been stated in previous comments so I wouldn't elborate. Surprisingly, that might not be the core issue. I'll project my story onto yours, so bear with me. What you want is to get out of your parents house an…

Great post. I think another reason for women to keep their n-count low is for our own emotional well-being. Having sex with a man makes us feel vulnerable and attached. This, sometimes unreciprocated, attachment drives us crazy. While aware of the irony, I'll quote one of the most grotesquely BP shows for women, Girls. "Good dick is a prison". To this day, after I have sex with my husband I find myself wanting extra assurance and affection.

Yikes. I don't even need food poisoning to make me vomit on a rollercoaster, I have motion sickness. I'm okay with involuntary grossness actually. On our honeymoon we had exotic food several times and it didn't sit well with us (or sat too well. TMI). We basically laughed it off and moved on. The gross habits that one actively pursues I find harder to ignore.

Too bad my husband isn't active here to vouch for me, so you have to trust my word on it. I'm hardly ever a nag. Whenever the urge rises, I take a deep breath, practice gratitude and cherish the fact that I married a kind and wonderful man. There are a couple of things that hit a nerve for some reason, and all of them are in the domain of gross habits.

If you don't mind my saying, the approach you suggest here is manipulative and unhealthy. Suggestions like these are the ones that give RPW a negative reputation of women faking tradcon behavior to get a ring. My go-to behavior when I'm upset used to be hiding somewhere and crying alone. With my husband, unlike other men, I felt safe enough to cry in front of him. I think this was good for both of us. However, this was actually me showing actual vulnerability, on rare occasions. A man who is cap…

Strike the iron while it's hot. If he asked you to marry him, marry him. A wedding is not a mandatory precursor towards being married. You can certainly have a city hall wedding and maybe throw a larger celebration some time down the line. Making mutual financial decisions without a legal contract (marriage, for example) isn't wise. My advice is buy a house *and* don't postpone getting married.

I think 24 is a great age to go into nun mode. I'm kind of biased because I went into it at 27 and it was still worth it (later met my husband at 29). I once read this good piece of advice -- you need to figure out what issues you have in life that you're not proud of. Change the things that can be changed (like weight) and accept the ones that cannot (family background, previous relationships etc). We usually don't directly adopt concepts from TRP but I think this one is valid. Before dating wi…

give men a hook to easily start a conversation with. That way you can also weed out the broadcasting "Hey"s from the men who actually looked at your profile. I had "on a journey to find the best steak in town", but you can do better :) don't list what you're looking for in a man and especially what you're not looking for. Listing "no hookups" might give the impression you've been "pumped and dumped" too many times, and listing a lot of qualities can mean you're too demanding. Men don't think lik…

I think there's definitely association between intelligence and hyper-rationality, but certainly not all smart people are disconnected from their emotions. It might be some defense mechanism of people who learned to deal with the world analytically because it was easier for them, but that's just my 2-cent psychological hypothesis. A lot of the RPW way is triggering almost primal responses in a man, it makes it a lot harder when he's actively avoiding pursuing his raw emotions.

Thank you for starting this discussion, it's a topic I've given a lot of thought to but haven't gotten the chance to phrase my thoughts coherently. I identified as a hyper-rational woman most of my 20s. It was likely due to the fact I was in an almost entirely male environment and it was a very competitive kind of sink-or-swim situation, be one of the guys or be a social outcast. I had this belief that people who are not guided at all by emotions are stronger. The less feelings you have and/or e…

Some may disagree with me on this point, but I think it's far worse to be a woman who has lived with more than one man than a woman who has fucked more than one man. I am also aware that this is a controversial opinion but I'm with you on this one. I lived with another man before my husband, and the baggage I carried with me after that was incomparably heavier than vague memories of fucking other people.

Men do not marry in order to secure some unrealized future benefit. They marry in order to render their current situation permanent. The less beneficial you make their current situation, the less likely they are to want to render it permanent. In the eyes of men the live-in situation is permanent until they say otherwise. Why would they need a "piece of paper" to make this situation permanent? What men do best is solve problems. Men marry to solve a problem. If there's no problem to solve, they …

It might become problematic to have a healthy child past 30, especially if you have it with a guy who's even older than you by a decent amount. This is just inciting unnecessary fear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9ryP0UyO5U I think it's pretty much well accepted that the threshold to start worrying about fertility and birth defects is 40 and not 35 like was propagated before or 30 like you suggest. Can you cite the study you are referencing? The data I am familiar with is actually that the larger the age gap the more likely is divorce. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/08/170803091918.htm "Men and women both report greater marital satisfaction with younger spouses, but that satisfaction fades over time in marriages with a significant age gap between the partners."

It's not because people lack the ability to achieve desirable relationships/goals, but it's the culture of extended childhood that convinces people it's acceptable ("normal") to just follow the whims of their emotions (and by extension --- peer pressure :P), and blame fate ("it's just not meant to be", etc) for whatever happens. This.

You have some very good points, this was the counter-opinion I was looking for. Did you have an endgame in mind at the early LTRs, or is it more que sera, sera kind of thinking? I also had about 10 years of dating, but I naively treated every LTR as something that should lead to marriage. However, for a large part of the decade I wasn't ready to marry (or date with such an intent).

Men's instinct to wait until they are settled, I believe will occur even in a culture that doesn't encourage casual dating and extended childhoods. Yes, for sure. Historically men married only when they had a home to bring their wife to. I think men today who say "she's not marriage-minded either" are kind of justifying this behavior for themselves. By this I mean being in an LTR without vetting it for marriage and family. Many are essentially good moral men whose current priority is to gather u…

Yes, that's a good guideline. As was commented above, I think it has to go along with another guideline of not LTRing at all until you've grown enough and have something to bring to the relationship besides your youthful body (not to be disrespectful of youthful bodies, they go a long way). I'm not sure it makes sense to date a 28 year old man when you're say, 21.

The next woman they pick up, boom, that's the one they'll marry. It’s not fate, it’s dumb luck." Haha this is a great quote. While there's value to not being in an LTR, that doesn't have to mean completely avoiding men. There's an incredibly valuable middle ground, too. This is a very interesting idea. However, I …

I think cooking for him is a great feminine way to show your appreciation. Kick it up a notch, make him something special. Great post for an interesting and nuanced observation. Often I see “I love him very much” along with a list of his faults. What that really means is: “I’m very comfortable in this relationship and I don’t want to start over”. I think TRP has a post regarding how women love that aligns with your post. Something like -- when a woman says she loves you, she means she loves what you and your relationship provide for her, and that is far from stable and far from unconditional. Does your gut tell you …

In terms of sex, I don't believe in femcels. Any woman who is interested in no-strings-attached sex can fill as many slots in her dance card as she deems fit. What may vary is the quality of men lining up for a dance. However, offering unattached sex, a woman can play well outside her MV league. So she may be a femcel only if her standards are somehow outrageous. Women can be Insins (involuntary single?) though, because they can't get commitment from men. In evolutionary terms, research has been…

Finally, highly intelligent or accomplished women can have a harder time finding men they are attracted to. You are not interested in any of the local men and your repeated reason seems to be their intellect. I think the culture you're describing is a global attribute of rural areas, not particular to USA. If you want to interact with people who are more "worldly", you should move to a larger-scale city. However, it does come with its downsides. Large cities generally have a more liberal sexual culture and the marital age is much higher. Some cities (NYC as a prime example) have a biased sex ratio among singles (much more single ladies than straight single men), which changes the whole dynamics of th…

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. I'll start with the bottom line. There's an RP saying that goes something like - a man wants to be respected by women he desires and a woman wants to be a desired by a man she respects. So two questions need to be answered. That's basically Red Pill 101, or maybe evolution of sexual reproduction 101. Same thing. It gets more complicated than that because a female needs both *good genes* and good protection/provision and it doesn't necessarily have to be by the same male. Males also have other things to consider, since if the contribution of their paternal care to offspring fitness is significant it might be worthwhile to pass up on some additional mating opportunities.

To me, being a red-pilled woman is what my grandma would call "being a woman". It means asking yourself what you bring to the relationship and not just what you get from it. Realizing that just your vagina and your prosperous career don't qualify you for a wonderful man who will commit to you. It means accepting the fact that men and women are different and have different roles. Neither of these roles is better or more honorable than the other. It means falling in love with your femininity, I me…

I stomached TRP alright, but since I started lurking on MGTOW I'm feeling it has a negative effect on my self-esteem. Becoming redpill-aware may be one of the greatest gifts a woman could contribute to her future and well-being, and it's great you're doing it in your early 20s. Lurking on those subs as a late 20s/early 30s girl can be rough. IMO Hating on other women and judging them is "toxic feminitity", you should focus on becoming the best woman you could be.

A married woman has more status than unmarried women. Yep. Within the post-wall society of women, the status of being married is carried like a trophy. Even Especially among women who are "successful" in masculine terms (careers, money, education). In a meeting of a group of women, they mention having a husband and having given birth to children within seconds, seems like winning an Olympic gold medal couldn't have been a higher honor.

All statements are correct, but it's a confused mixture of theoretical ideals (e.g., Men are responsible for the protection of those around them), current Western juristic realities that may be abused by women and society (Men are responsible for paying for their kids until they are adults, Men are responsible for every woman they fuck) and things that only some men are responsible for -- great inventions, combat military service. Great post. Just for sake of posterity, there are alternative explanations for female promiscuity in nature. Good genes/compatible genes hypothesis (aka Alpha Seed) is definitely the most intuitive, but to the best of my knowledge there hasn't been wide-scale empirical proof that extra-pair males were indeed genetically superior to social mates (in avian species I mean, in humans we can only dream of such research!). It was a relief. I wish this deliverance from the wife trap rabbit hole on all women. The emotional burden of carrying the mental load is a practical one — because women expend their time and energies on unpaid labor — but as the term implies, within a marriage it’s an emotional one as well. Sounds nice in theory but the difference between theory and practice is much greater in practice than in theory (Richard Feynman). What you say may be true up until LTR level. In a liberal bluepill society, however inspiring a woman might be, nowadays there's absolutely no need for a man to think about his desire to marry her until push comes to shove. If she wishes to wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony, an engaged woman needs to attend these classes before the wedding. It's called bridal guidance. Traditionally the classes were oriented for religious couples, nowadays there are modern classes for non-religious couples. Some are still RPW, and some are propagating an easier to swallow bluepill version.

I agree that Jim is probably beta and/or low-value, regardless of his career and good looks. In my opinion, Tom probably also has some issues. His dating pattern may lasted 9 seasons on Seinfeld, but it stems from something deeper. You can't really tell why Jim has low self-esteem. Could be a lot of reasons. Maybe he has issues in the bedroom. Maybe it's some form of mommy issues. Might have had a cold or distant mother and yearned for female affection. These sort of things easily cause self-est…

There are a lot of stories, both real-life and pop-culture, about couples who started casually and live happily ever after (Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have a real bluepill-dream-come-true tale.) Definitely not the right approach, these are the exceptions and not the rule. It's hard enough to go from GF to wife these days, don't attempt going from plate to GF. Be a high-value woman. See yourself as one, act like one, people will start treating you like one. After graduating, now I completely l…

In the realm of books about evolution there are also Selfish Gene, the Mating Mind and the Naked Ape. Maybe 14 is too young for those. I think maybe it'll be good to unplug her by exposing her to some more red-pilled movies and TV shows. The things teens watch today are outright blue pill brainwash. Shows where CC riding and drug abuse are openly encouraged, and wanting to be a wife and mother is frowned upon. Maybe some of the older TV shows - Facts of Life, Bewitched, 80s-90s family sitcoms. I…

Preaching the truth. As you said, it's just a guy's nature. My theory is that RPW (and marriage-minded women in general) vet men for marriage, while men (even the commitment-oriented men) vet women for an LTR. If he grows attached to you, develops feelings, has fun, good sex, wants you around, you're in for a loving long-term relationship. At any point in an LTR, if you ask a woman if she wants to marry this man she'll say yes, while he'll say something along the lines of "I don't know yet". Men…

I had promised myself that when I finally met someone, I would pick up my hobbies again. Dating took a lot out of me, mentally, physically and financially. I feel the same way. I wasn't even actually dating as much as I was emotionally preoccupied with it. I feel like being in a stable and fulfilling relationship with a life partner is so essential in my hierarchy of needs at this point in my life, that it's hard to distract myself. Now that I'm in a loving LTR I'm at peace (to a degree), yet I …

Monogamy isn't even your biggest concern. Who cares if he's willing to be monogamous with you for a couple years, then ditch you for a younger model because "he's not ready to settle down yet." That's far worse than being a plate in my opinion, and it happens all the time. That's some harsh RPW truth right there. And like you said, until you have that ring on your finger, you won't really know. A lot of men these days say most couples get divorced anyhow so why is the ring a guarantee of anythin…

That's sweet! (double entendre). I try to adhere to the Paleo diet so I bake gluten-free and without added sugar. Still turns out tasty. Some of my recent endeavors - paleo chocolate-chip banana bread, paleo apple raisin cake.

So maybe she should pause it for now. A positive attitude is a must in these affairs, since negative expectations tend to manifest themselves.

Anyway, she seems to be happiest when she’s not looking for men or trying to date men and just focus on herself lately. If she's just fresh out of a relationship, it might be good for her to take some time off and focus on her well-being. Jumping right back in can be quite deleterious. On the other hand, if she's avoiding online dating it should be temporary and for valid reasons. Not because she's overwhelmed, afraid, or thinks that it's unromantic to meet men on an app. Online dating is a grea…

Two words. Nun mode. I've gone full Nun when I was 27 for more than a year. Still think it was better late than never. My n-count was pretty low (thanks to being raised by RP parents) so that wasn't my main concern. I needed to pause my LTR streak to figure out what I need and what makes me happy, in romance and beyond.

Indeed, the infatuation of women with felons is right up TRP's alley. It's an epitome of women's attraction to power and strength.

But here’s the thing about dependence, a man needs to earn it. Yeah, but it's a chicken-or-the-egg situation. You have to take a step back and let him do things for you and demonstrate that you need him, so he can "earn your dependence". You can't expect him to fight you on who gets to lead the storm weathering. Create a void, see if he'll fill it.

I think it has more to do with having a career you're enthusiastic about, doesn't really matter what it is. Having some career goals and success (whatever you define as success) helps you be less dependent on emotional validation from your partner.

The qualities you mentioned are indeed important to vet. However, I think it wouldn't suffice to vet a marriage-minded man. He should be marriage-minded to you and share your timeline of commitment. I'll elaborate. Maybe your relationship is great and he loves you, but he doesn't see himself marrying and starting a family with someone of your age, ethnicity, education level, religious beliefs, financial background, sexual experience, etc. It might be because his family wouldn't support this unio…

Men who are Chads/Alphas, by nature or by nurture (TRP), know how to play into a woman's psyche. Be better than that. Charm is in the eye of the beholder. Try to tap into your inner belief system and understand why you find certain behaviors charming and attractive. You may realize that it stems from unresolved issues with yourself. Resolving them, you will vet differently. Personal tale - I used to be charmed by men of stoic, rational and emotionally detached demeanor. Without properly realizin…

they might not plan the perfect date since they don't spend all of their time thinking about how to woo women the way some players do Exactly. Men who are great at gaming women are like that because they have vast experience at gaming women.

In the spirit of RP teachings, true. It's clear why men would resist formal marriage. Let's agree that the optimal sexual strategy of men is not getting married (RP anger-phase but also beyond), and the preferred sexual strategy of women is getting married (RPW). Rephrasing OP, the question that arises is - why is it starting to seem like in our society, the steady-state equilibrium of these strategies is having children out-of-wedlock?

I hear many women saying that they don't want to get officially married ("I don't need a piece of paper to affirm our love"). I consider it a kind of blue-pill brainwash. Denying their desire for formal long-term commitment goes hand in hand with condoning no-strings-attached sex and saying it has nothing to do with emotional bonding. Another explanation may be that getting pregnant is a some sort of a Machiavellian tactic for getting their man to commit. In that case IMO it is a risky, sad and …

In my opinion, that the more "liberal" a society is, the more plugged in the people are. The culture you grow up in has a great influence. Eastern European societies for example are largely conservative, and women there are raised more red-pilled. Religion is a factor as well, since religious teachings (Abrahamic religions, but others too I believe) encourage traditional values - gender polarity, chastity. I think women who are early-bird RPWs might mostly be of more religious or traditional upb…

Not sure it helps but you're certainly not alone. Birthdays are known to trigger mental issues, especially in people who are susceptible to depression or anxiety. I don't feel qualified to provide you with fundamental advice about your financial state, but I'll say it's important to get through the next couple of days and see how you feel afterwards. Practice self-care meticulously. Some people diffuse essential oils, drink Matcha tea, listen to upbeat music, eat things they don't normally eat, …

"A year from now you may wish you started today" Caring for your appearance is a never ending journey of improvement. The easiest way to kick start your journey is to take the first step, maybe by doing something that is an "overnight change". For example, getting your hair done. While a consistent hair routine is important, a couple of hours in the salon can do wonders. It might give you the boost you need to keep going. "Persistence guarantees that results are inevitable" The world of feminini…

Completely agree with u/teeandtalk. After ejaculating, men become very tired and sleepy. Women usually don't. This is a scientific fact. Learn to accept this as a natural part of him being a man. Don't get angry with him about it or have your hamster realize this is a good opportunity to pose meaningful questions about the state of your relationship. Also, men need post-ejaculatory recovery time until they are able to regain their erection, it's called the refractory period. This differs between…

You're right, we shouldn't dismiss or ridicule a man's sickness. On the other hand, I think it's best to tread that fine line between caring for him in a feminine manner and mothering/controlling him. In my opinion, it's important to trust him he knows what he needs in order to get better.
