Unfortunately it's largely a byproduct of American politics that everything be viewed in such black and white terms. If you support MR you must be a MAGA hat wearing white nationalist, right? I'm sure there are many men here like me who hate Trump and even consider themselves quite liberal, but who are still clearly able to see the the growing oppression of men in society.

This exact same thing just happened to Franco with one of his accusers, Violet Paley or whatever. I can't speak for the other accusers as I haven't read all their individual accusations, but just like Paley, I find it interesting that they were all completely silent during #metoo and only suddenly appeared on Twitter minutes after Franco won a Golden Globe.

You're absolutely right. But u/shopistol has a point. A lot of the current "men's rights" movements are associated with people with radical views (especially the right wing types), and so this must be considered. Any movement associated with radical politics will not be viewed favourably and will lose credibility and not appeal to a wider audience. Just look at current MR groups, or even what was happened to a large mainstream movement like feminism. We wouldn't even be having this discussion if…
