| 1 | Are disciplined women viewed as less feminine than princess types?Hong Kong is my context. Sure, there is some celular change for sure. BUT, care can circumvent these to a large extent. There is a culture here for beauty centers (non-invasive treatments), along with daily use of serums and stuff. Think of K-pop idols skincare and healthcare, but not to such an extreme level ofc. It is not uncommon to spend a couple hundred dollars, to maybe 2k, on such non-invasive treatments. These treatments, along with internalized notions of fat being bad, and slim being g… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 31/07/20 12:43 AM |
| 2 | Are disciplined women viewed as less feminine than princess types? Not necessarily. In some east asian countries, women who have had multiple kids still look like they're in their 20s. The secret lies in a beauty obsessed, "oppressive" society. When you are told by everyone that beauty matters, you will do whatever it takes to keep that beauty. Meanwhile, if you live in a society which preaches body positivity, there is less pressure to be beautiful, resulting in letting yourself go (especially when stress levels are high from taking care of kids and stuff). | 2 | Are disciplined women viewed as less feminine than princess types? Some of those who do encourage it, do not cringe. Think about it this way, spoiling a princess shows people that you have deep pockets. Thus, by being known for spoiling the drop-dead gorgeous pseudomodel you're dating, you've checked the boxes for money and beauty, with regard to other's perceptions. The only thing left is to gain power. TO put it simply, it gets you admiration from society | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/07/20 06:21 PM |
| 1 | Men are vastly overestimating the effect that makeup has on women and men's attraction to them18% wear it everyday or almost, according to your statistics. And thats the ones men go for/idealize. If you disregard makeup, the drop-dead gorgeous percentile is around 7% (for celebrity tier). Thus, if you are not part of that genetic lottery winning bunch, cakes of makeup works wonders. I see some people mentioning insecurities and 14 year olds in the comments, but thats how it is. They carry into the adult world. Personally, i find someone who fusses over looks, clothes, hobbies etc, in ord… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/07/20 06:13 PM |
| 1 | Saying “If you want commitment, go for less desirable guys” is like saying “If you want commitment, go for guys who can’t do any better.”seems pretty bad in the real world to me.. A friend of mine, good looking, dates a questionable looking guy. And whaddya know, he leaves. Why u ask ? "Shes too hot" and it makes him insecure he says. Even dating uglier gets u jack, at times Another friend literally dated a string of questionable guys, which turned her gay as a result. All because the 1st girl she gave a chance to was more "gentlemanly/chivalrous?" than any of the exes | /r/PurplePillDebate | 20/05/20 03:29 PM |
