Called my kids to pass along the news.Damn, this is the dumb shit you see on movies and think “no one is really that stupid” your ex wife is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/06/25 10:58 PM
Held off Satin’s Vagina“Your honor, I had to fuck something!” | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/12/23 06:58 AM
Held off Satin’s VaginaNaw you’re too fragile at this stage in the divorce, you might fall in love again! | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/12/23 06:57 AM
Held off Satin’s VaginaBeat it daily, even if you don’t want to, it’ll drain the tank and she will have zero power over you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/12/23 06:54 AM
Inviting Her to ParticipateI think it’s a “take the high road” situation. Even if your ex rejects you 100% of the time, you’ll know in 10-20 years if your kids ever complain or wished y’all did more stuff as a family, that you were ALWAYS trying. And if I were you, I’d go out of my way to show up if your wife ever invites you again. You’re doin what’s right, keep doing it, even if it’s pointless | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/09/23 07:27 AM
I Left My Wife Two Weeks Ago, Today She Says She’s Pregnant. No I didn’t know I was going to leave her. I’ve been unhappy for a while, but the day I left we had a big fight and I finally decided I had enough. Secondly, I did not have sex with her without protection on both ends, so that’s why I am skeptical of the pregnancy in the first place. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/23 01:53 AM
Sister has CancerTrust me, I would not want to be you right now. This is a horrible decision, but I can’t imagine any court would side with her, it’ll just be another pain in your ass until it gets settled in an already terrible time. Maybe go have a conversation and record it, Virginia is a one party consent state. Tell her exactly why you’re doing it and be clear, as soon as she tried to start something you’ve got the whole conversation recorded | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/23 07:05 PM
Sister has CancerWhen they’re that young, I can understand wanting to shelter them from what your sister is about to go through. I really don’t know what’s best, and this may be a better question for a child psychologist or therapist, kids that young can understand death, but I don’t think they can understand illness at that level. Possibly wait until your sister starts showing more obvious signs of illness and then send them to their moms. If it were me personally, I may send my kids to their mom’s and tell the… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/23 03:52 PM
I Left My Wife Two Weeks Ago, Today She Says She’s Pregnant.I really don’t think she wants to get back together, which is fine with me, I am the one who left. Which leads me to think she may actually be pregnant, but I also know it’s early and almost impossible to tell, or it’s just not mine, which is always possible. Just when you think you’ve gotten away they suck you back in | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/23 03:47 AM
Am I a pos…I mean, there’s a big difference in partying and what you’re talking about. If she went out very 8-ish months and partied, no big deal imo. But if she’s with a bunch of dudes acting single and not coming home until seven, there is probably something more nefarious going on and it’s time for her to change, or you to leave. She’s taking your kindness as weakness and maybe it is, I don’t know, but if things are as they seem, she doesn’t respect you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/09/23 12:29 AM
Wife is divorcing me, what now?I know it probably hurts, but I got a good chuckle out of “she would rather roll the dice at being gay” Sorry you’re going through this. I am also in the beginning stages of divorce and I can’t even get a lawyer to call me back for a consult. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/09/23 09:46 PM
Ozempic, weight loss and divorceAll my STBXW complained about was her weight and looks. She was pretty skinny and looked great, but all I ever heard was about how much she hated herself blah blah blah. It was really a mental issue more than a physical issue. Now that’s not to say she couldn’t have made slight improvements by a better diet and time in the gym that really wouldn’t have changed much about her physical looks, but probably would have helped her self esteem. Either way, it was literally ALL she would talk about, yet… | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/09/23 03:11 PM
Loan assumption-Optional to sign or divorce decree boundI’m not a lawyer but legal decrees are very literal and if it says refinance, then it means refinance. I would beat around the bush until she’s told by a lawyer that she has to refinance and not assumption, and then agree to do the assumption lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/09/23 12:53 AM
Loan assumption-Optional to sign or divorce decree boundYea so pretty messy divorce so yea let her suffer. Let her know you could do it, but she also could have been faithful | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/09/23 12:40 AM
Loan assumption-Optional to sign or divorce decree boundIs there any real negative impacts to you if she just assumes the loan at a lower interest rate? If no then I would just do it. She may not always be your wife, but she will always be your ex wife. Idk how messy the divorce was, but throwing her a bone when she should know you don’t have to might help you out in the long run. Especially if there is no negative impact to you. I’ve never dealt with a loan assumption so I don’t know | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/09/23 12:35 AM
How to bring up divorce 24m 23fThere is no good way to bring up a divorce. I knew I should have left by 24 and stayed until just the other week at 29. Between 24 and 29 life only got more complicated, we moved out of state, bought a house and had a kid. In the end the result is the same. Part of the reason I stayed was because I didn’t know how to do it without absolutely crushing her, I still care for my STBXW, but in the end I had to just tell her I was done and that I was sure about the decision. She’s hurt, and that’s ok.… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/09/23 09:24 PM
How to bring up divorce 24m 23fIf OP is feeling it at 24 he will feel it at 34, 44, and 54 in the end the result will be the same. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/09/23 09:18 PM
What to do next? Or first?I mean I know this wasn’t originally about cheating, but it’s time to be done! She cheated once, depending on the relationship I can see getting passed that, but cheated twice, it’s a thing. Even if y’all are able to get passed the argument that lead to you leaving, I think it’s time to go your separate ways. Talk to a lawyer and try and maximize the time you get with your kids and try to find happiness somewhere else like picking up and old hobby that your probably gave up for marriage or kids.… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/09/23 05:58 AM
She did a quiet separationReading this sounds so familiar to me and my relationship. There was never anything wrong there was no abuse, there was no infidelity, there wasn’t even money trouble. It was simply two very different people trying to keep it together, and I finally snapped and left. We had our fights, we had our disagreements, but my wife acted like I blindsided her by leaving, and all I could say was “after these last two years, did you really not see this coming?” Life is too short to be unhappy, no one even … | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/09/23 02:25 AM
Marriage is undefeated in killing libido and it appears there's nothing I can do to stop itI wished I had an answer. When my wife got pregnant, I understood. After she gave birth and was recovering, I understood. After 18 months to 2 years postpartum, I got pretty upset. She only ever “felt like” when she was talking about another kid. I saw someone on this sub say “Sex won’t make a marriage, but it sure can kill one” and that’s the damn truth! | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/23 02:47 AM
STBXF lawyer is asking my lawyer to ask me to move out of the marital home.Sounds like you need a new lawyer. That dude is failing you if he doesn’t already know to turn them down. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/09/23 01:08 AM
Kevin Costner divorceI am Batman | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/09/23 09:53 PM
Kevin Costner divorce…I used to say that at work, maybe it was me? Also, she may not always be your wife, but she will always be your ex wife, choose wisely. | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/09/23 09:05 PM
Equitable or equal? Depends on if the man can pay moreWhat’s crazy is, you’ve been married longer than I have been alive. But it doesn’t matter what stage/age any guy is in life, marriage can royally screw him over. Now I am in a bit of different situation because we have a young son, and screwing my STBXW over, screws him over, so I am willing to give her everything she needs to make sure he’s ok. But other than for the sake of the kids, being married is such a HUGE liability to men everywhere. Most of us meet a woman in our early 20’s when we bar… | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/09/23 09:00 PM
She Loved Me, But She Didn't Respect MeI feel you! I just realized it’s easier to let her be the victim, it doesn’t really matter. That’s all she ever wanted to be in the first place, so who cares? Make the process more smooth and leave | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/09/23 10:18 PM
Equitable or equal? Depends on if the man can pay moreI take that back, at one point she used to bake cakes and sell them. She’d spend $50-$60 on bullshit to make/decorate spend two days absolutely destroying the kitchen, and then have me or her mom clean up after her. Deliver anywhere within 50 miles and set them up. Usually she would charge $30 total for the cake. Glad I could support it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/09/23 10:17 PM
Equitable or equal? Depends on if the man can pay moreNow imagine putting in 100% and losing half. Bought a house, no kids at the time. Paid 100% of the bills, bought 100% of the cars, and contributed 100% towards retirement. She didn’t have a job for 5 or 6 years and was just a stay at home wife. Had a kid recently and now I have to give her half… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/09/23 09:18 PM
No fault with kids is child abuse. As a man that’s filing a no fault divorce with a kid, I think you’re just upset without thinking of the actual implications of this. You have every opportunity to fight her in family court for custody, but no man or woman owes it to anyone to stay if they’re unhappy. Staying for the kids only does more harm in the end, because the kids live in an unhappy environment. Push her for custody, but don’t trap her. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/08/23 08:46 PM
