I would call this being "stuck in a rut" I have learned my mental health goes in cycles and after a certain amount or total volume of work I need a release. My release personally is camping or backpacking which I became fond too in the scouts, I also think that transcendentalism is a legit thing and that taking a "manly" trip to nature with maybe your best friend cleanses the soul.
