Do you look rich? 👀 I mean also, I’m 24 now but when I was 21 I was approached by a 60-something year old (Yes I know age gap blah blah, I was rebellious). Anyway I didn’t date him because I was physically attracted to him. And I had no idea how much he earned but I assumed he’s rich just by being older and approaching a young girl. We dated for about a month and turns out he was rich. Spend a month during lockdown at his beach house. So perhaps those young women are assuming the same thing.

I know how you feel, I also had a Sarah like friend. The thing is no matter how frustrating it is to watch her make bad decisions, we should acknowledge that people learn in their own time. When you constantly pester her it seems less like an equal friendship and rather like you're trying to create another you in her. Even if you both had the same goals and mindset starting out. If it is too unbearable for you then keep a tad bit of distance, you don't have to completely cut her off because it s…

I think people only like characters like Blair, Sharpay, Miranda Priestly, Regina George etc. as fictional characters. In real life people wouldn’t idolize them nearly as much.

The manosphere is a collection of websites, blogs, and online forums[1] promoting some forms of masculinity, hostility towards women, strong opposition to feminism, and exaggerated misogyny. The manosphere has been associated politically with the far-right and alt-right.[2] Movements within the manosphere include the men's rights movement,[3] incels (involuntary celibates),[4] Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW),[5] pick-up artistry (PUA),[6] and fathers' rights groups.[7] What I found off Wikipedia

This man clearly has no grasp on reality. Has he watched the bachelor, ex on the beach, 90 day fiancé? Attractiveness is not a magical shield against LVM. Of course he wouldn’t know, he’s probably never dated an attractive woman. So he thinks their lives are so dreamy.

Underrated comment. There are so many male authors profiting on females’ desire to understand men. The industry is so saturated that they’ll write an outrageous book such as this one for the extra needed attention. There’s nothing particularly new about knowing men want sex. He just packaged it in a more cynical and crass way.

Oh that part I agree with, I’ve seen it too myself. They’ll even have children with women they don’t even intend of marrying. I just don’t agree with the part that portrays men in general as incapable of empathy and true deep love and it’s all about sex. I personally know men who got tired of the one night stands and desired true connections (although they’re not the type of men we hear about often). If we believe that all men are these sex driven animals the book portrays then what would be the…

You don’t have to follow every FDS rule. The whole point of this sub is to build a relationship that’s loving, respectful and satisfactory to you. If you’re truly happy then don’t worry about it. I think being pedantic about rules or making it easy might sabotage the good thing you have going on. Always remember the end goal is a happy and loving relationship. Not your boyfriend perceiving you as a difficult person. He sounds like a great guy.

The first point a guy said that to me in my first day of university during orientation😕After he asked me who’s paying for my education. He went on a loud rant about how I’m probably not going to make it, I don’t know real life, I should just get married. I ended up crying because people around me were staring because he was shouting these things at me so loudly. I’ve ignored him on campus ever since. (It’s a small university).

Or took her money and walked away. That’s a lot of money for South Africa she could have lived comfortably. Now she’s probably going to get 20+ years in prison. She’s still losing the husband she tried so hard to keep.

We know men do it too. We speak about it in this sub. In this instance a woman who received R8 million ($460 000) and what she does is order a kill on the husband’s pregnant mistress. To go that far for a cheating man is pick me behavior.

I really don’t want to date older men at all. I tried once and we didn’t even last 2 months. I don’t want to date immature young guys in university either because they annoy me really. My one boyfriend spent all his money on alcohol and going out, and never bought a valentines or birthday gift because he was “broke”. But I bought them for him. I’m currently dating a guy who graduated law school last year. 4 years older and I think it’s a good compromise. He works really hard so I don’t see him a…

Everything is permissible but not everything is advisable. I’m 20 years old and of course I’ve dated broke guys because that’s what most of my age group is. Most of us are still getting allowances from our parents and we’re in university. But I noticed I didn’t like being in those relationships after a while. Because I never felt special. If it feels like settling it probably is.

Haha thank you. Basically I wasn’t allowed to go anywhere unless I was dropped off and picked up and it was all before 5pm. I went to an all girl’s boarding school and next door to it was the all boy’s school he went to. I was a weekly boarder so weekends I was at home. I hid in the bathrooms in the mornings so I could skip school, sneak out through the back so we could walk to the mall and I buy him sushi because he was hungry. I bribed some security guards so they wouldn’t report me. Well one …

Yes, I think I was the classic chill cool girl in high school. I went from being this independent book worm. To crying for a boy because he didn’t care. When you change for a guy you’re not aware of it until afterwards, at least I wasn’t. I just tried so hard to be interesting to him. I have super strict parents so believe me when I said I made the impossible happen just to see him. Basically I did a lot. Looking back it’s such obvious desperation. So no I don’t regret it. My mom had me on her 3rd year of university. So I’m in the awkward middle cousins are either way older or wayyyy younger. I never babysit but whenever all the grandchildren are at my grandmother’s house I really don’t like spending time with the little ones. So we’ll see in the future but I don’t think I’m warm enough towards children to have them. I don’t want to be a cold mother.

Even if she did all that (understood the institution). It would not have changed the outcome. If a child goes to a specific school and understands that bullying is a probable reality there, understanding this does nothing to change the probability of bullying. She didn’t just leave immediately either, she was going about Royal duties while all of the media stuff was happening. Until she chose to look out for herself rather than stay to appease the “institution” she married into. That’s HVW.

Well to be fair... everything that involves any person being a public figure has the risk of the media making your life hell. Was she supposed to give up on a chance at love because of that? And she was loved by the media at first. I’m not sure what big bad thing Meghan did that was confirmed to be true, but I don’t think it’s okay to blame her for the media turning on her.

They idolize her for the same reason Kate Middleton was. Her position as a Royal from being a commoner. The media becomes fixated on what they do, what they wear, their charitable causes etc.

In Africa that’s a really believable story. I know that’s why I’m not Christian anymore. Men used to treat their wives bad and came to church and blamed demons for their behavior. When they relapse back to the old behavior then it’s a spiritual attack from demons.

I think the blame isn’t with the attraction part. It’s when women see all the signs that a man is no good. The man hurts them on numerous occasions without remorse. Then she still chooses to stay. My friend dated a guy who pretended to have broken up with his gf. He went back to her (gf) and she’s (friend) waiting around for him to see that he really wants her. She still talks to him daily, and does so much emotional labour etc. While he posts pictures of him having fun and going to the beach wi…

I have, although it was sexual assault. The thing happened in Jan 2018, March 2020 we were still going to court. Everything is on hold now because of lockdown but here’s what happened. After I reported the case the the police tried to go make the arrest at 2am he had fled and was nowhere to be found. They found him 3 months later. I told a guy who wanted to meet that I wasn’t interested in doing that. Him: I knew it was going to be a challenge, don’t worry I’m up for it. Me: Look it’s cool that you sought out my number and all but I wasn’t playing hard to get. I really have no intention of meeting you in person. Him: Why? Me: I won’t respond again but it’s because I do what I want and don’t do what I don’t want to do. It’s awkward at first but I think there’s no need to be rude. When I dated an older guy all he’d talk about is what he’s going to buy me, his penis, not using a condom and his dream of impregnating me. (We didn’t sleep together though, would have happened had it not been for lockdown, during lockdown I found FDS) We didn’t last 2 months. I found out he’s married and is a deadbeat father of 2.

Reminds me of that Tyler Perry movie Temptations. The woman had a good guy who forgot her birthday and other stuff I forgot. The lady cheated with a rich guy and ended up with HIV. The good guy remarried and had a son. Nobody ever thinks about how that good guy was not necessarily a good husband.

Not to mention the fashion nova’s “for work” collection. I mean... how am I supposed to walk into the office wearing a blazer with such a low hanging décolletage? Or a very high slit in the pencil skirt. Most of those for work outfits are really not suitable for work. They’re now even trying to sexualize professional attire. I don’t want to look like I’m trying to seduce my colleagues. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with dressing sexy outside the office, but I definitely do not want to be offi…

Yes I did. It wasn’t even dramatic. I told him that this isn’t the type of relationship I want to participate in because of XY&Z. Then blocked him. He was all about himself. I would have been intimate with him had he not screamed at me for going to my great grandma’s funeral instead of seeing him (aka for sex). Yep men know exactly what women want to hear. It’s a pity they think we all fall for it. Whenever my ex did something wrong or tried to manipulate me into not just sleeping with him but having unprotected sex with him, he’d say stuff like “tell me which cellphone you want and I’ll buy it”, “I want you to go pick out a car for yourself and I’ll buy it”, “I saw these diamond earrings for you”. Shallon Lester (The Youtuber) attributed this to them not being good enough for their mother. For example Kris used to compliment Kendal and tell her she’s going to be a super model while Kylie would stare at the ceiling or something. Kris also used to call Khloe fat. All this along with negative comments about them being the ugly ones of the family. It all lead to them having a low self esteem and trying to find validation from men or social media.
