Glad to hear it. I'm 31 myself, and well, my honest story is that I didn't lose my virginity until I was 24, then had a couple less-than-ideal relationships. I'm now 31 and single again, and am determined to figure this shit out. I quit jerking off and looking at porn four months ago, and that's been an immense help. I've been spending more time improving my attractiveness than just fapping it to porn for a few hours anytime I get the urge. Everything I've been reading says that age is much much…

Models by Mark Manson is my seduction bible.

Thanks for your story. That's painful to hear about the one girl that had it bad for you, as well, and you two never connected. It's all very reminiscent of my own life, and my habit of falling for someone, then using my flirting strategy of ignoring them and pretending as much as possible that I don't notice them at all. It always works out well. Don't give up on yourself, though, man! Fuck the fat and balding, bs. That shouldn't be killing your success.

Those are the two books I'm working through. Models is turning into my seduction bible. Finished it once through, and going to work through it a second time and try to incorporate more of it into my life.

Do it! That book has become my seduction bible. I think he's spot on with just about everything he writes.

A little late, but just wanted to chime in to say that I really like this idea. Totally down for more threads like this.

I just try to be more genuine about what I'm feeling/thinking. I try to tell a few more embarassing stories about myself, and reveal a little more of what I'm thinking than I have in the past. It's guaranteed to be painful/stressful, and that you're probably going to turn some people off/upset a person or two here or there. But it's also going to slowly facilitate more genuine connections with people. It's kinda axiomatic really: if you want deeper, more genuine, more authentic connections with …

Read Brene Brown's books on vulnerability. She's actually the one Mark Manson drew that whole concept from. (I'm assuming that, at least. Brene Brown is the expert on vulnerability/shame.) My own experiences with vulnerability have been excruciatingly difficult, honestly. Though I think that's to be expected. Making yourself vulnerable, revealing yourself as you are, allowing yourself to be truly seen, is a terrifying experience fraught with all sorts of fear, shame, anger, hate, worry. But, as …

Yup, I'm right there with you. I'm working on a project in my town that has me approaching all sorts of random people, from politicians, to business people, to news folks. All that pales in comparison to just approaching and talking to a girl I find cute.

For some reason faking it is just a trigger for a lot of my insecurities. If I fake it for long enough, I swear it feels like I'm going to have a major panic attack. Yeah, I should probably see a therapist.

I feel you, man. I'm 31 and have had the damnedest time with women. I did have a relationship with a beautiful girl for about a year and a half not too long ago. But I didn't lose my virginity until I was 24, and very often find myself in the "everyone else has better luck with the ladies than I do" mindset. I'll just echo TheBadGod and say keep plugging along! I'm right there with ya.

Can I have you follow me around and tell me this constantly?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
