If I was a woman and found myself in such a situation, I would've called the whole party upstairs, laugh at the gall of his and at the cliche of the situation, make sarcastic bree van de kamp-esque remarks and tell the party to take pictures. By destroying his frame on social circles and the judges I would clearly have a field day on the divorce court while boosting my own social status into extremes. I guess this woman lacked the self respect to do that.
