When I was young we thought the inventions of the future would be personal jet packs and the like but the trend seems to be towards AI. I think this issue will be ‘solved’ when they have relationship GPT and men desert the dating market for their talking and somewhat emotional intelligent and ever supportive fleshlights in droves.

Does this even distinguish men paying for it

There was another subreddit I came across once where men were referred to by a majority of users as scrotes and stereotyped and users plotted about how to denude them of their savings. I wonder if that was quarantined. Sure, if rape was threatened (albeit by a few nuts, not the majority) by all means ban it but lets not pretend Reddit does not have certain political leanings or that their mods are even handed. As for the expert engaged by the FBI to prosecute that guy, he is their expert, what d…

Well, you make a decent case, almost sounds plausible

That does not mean we are not subject to biology though, especially if they are fundamental urges. I mean some of us are capable of incredible things with their minds, like that monk who sat placidly while he burned to death to protest the Vietnam War (I think) but it’s a hard ask for most people

Is it though or is it partially a biological urge to procreate

I think this is part of it but that maybe the greater part is validation. I am introverted and as a man didn’t have so much of that emotional intimacy with my friends. Also went through a period of involuntary celibacy bc I was lacking in confidence and socially anxious and also depressed. But I was reasonably attractive and still had a decent number of overtures and opportunities, and I think it’s for that reason that I never developed any bitterness about it; it was my failure. Most women have…

I don’t know. I feel like you need to be passionate about something to be your best self and work hard at it. Most men have found that to be wife and kids because they love them. I know some men who keep their shit tight and are motivated seemingly for themselves and just date casually and I respect them for it but i haven’t been one myself, I was just treading water to a large degree and living a pretty hedonistic lifestyle before I had wife and kids. What else can replace that, not that many t…

I think you are seriously mischaracterising this phenomenon. Firstly these are sexually active adults, able to vote and kill, if they are competent to have sex with their peers they are competent to have sex with anyone. Secondly you posit that the only young women who date older men are struggling, based on zero evidence (this is not a commonly reported phenomenon and imo is really just infantilising young adult women. Again, they are competent or they are not). Thirdly, while I agree that it i…

This is kinda dumb tbh, it sounds like you extrapolated your experience with the 30 year old into a general rule for everyone. Most 18 year olds I knew were sexually active and things have not changed in that regard, if anything they are more liable to have OF these days. There has been a recent spate of female porn stars fucking guys who have just finished their schooling and are on ‘schoolies’ vacations in Australia. I wouldn’t date an 18 year old myself as these days young people appear to be…

‘Not normal’ or ‘solidly abnormal’ is an implied moral judgment that can’t be resolved by just proving that it is uncommon. Trans people are 0.6% but I doubt you would say they are not normal.

I do agree with you to the extent that some of this sexual piousness in general may be either performative (ie he is attracted but it does not match with his idea of himself and/or he desires social approval more) or uncharitably characterised as prudishness (ie being against casual sex and hence assessing attractiveness through the prism of marriage etc). Seen in this light it may not always be the virtue that it is often assumed to be. That I am willing to accept that people like PRHerg are no…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
