Active Army here. While a good philosophy on life helps, don't take it as an excuse to NOT seek professional behavioral health. Take care of yourself thoroughly, not just a patch job.

Outsiders think it's all about hating women. It's not. It's about not giving them special treatment in the social sphere. It's recognizing the differences between sexes and playing them. Women already do it. Why do you think hot girls go to the bar with no money in hand? It's a strategy based on a realization that you're not a special snowflake. This guy thought he was. He was wrong, and people died for it. To be honest, I think it's not even a Red Pill thing. I think it's just a person thing. G…

I disagree with this, to be honest. I suppose I'm not a "Red Pill purist" of sorts because I believe that women should be able to do what they want, but shouldn't have their cake and eat it, too. That's not just women, either-- you get dudes with senses of entitlement, and those guys are assholes. I believe in TRP as an economic theory of sex. You have the people bitching about how You have two camps of feminists: those who say "cover it up" and those who say "use it for your benefit". Some get …

"Be a leech"? You mean "Be a government employee". If that's your take on it, get rid of the government and see what happens when you take the security infrastructure away. Just because I don't work for the Army of whatever country you're from, that doesn't mean a soldier isn't defending your rights in some way. People are always going to be fighting. Sorry I'm not sorry that I'm always part of the winning team. You say we're mercilessly killing people in a foreign country. I say we're actively …

Just fine, actually. I have a great job where I get paid to work out, shoot guns, jump out of planes, and defend your right to be a prick to strangers.

Ten bucks says you're too much of a bitch to make it in the Army anyway.

If you remember any details of it, I'd appreciate it if you could dig them up and link is to that study.

I think following a recipe makes you a chef in the same way coloring books make you an artist. You have to be able to make informed decisions. If you make something the first time, maybe use a recipe. Otherwise, fuck a cookbook.

If that guy is in the Army, his haircut is highly out of regs. I'm gonna call this one false.

Oh God, is this gonna turn into that "enslave the women, the guys with the guns make the rules" thread again? A perfect world is the way it already is, with some knowing how to talk to people and some clueless. If everyone can score with bad bitches, then the individual is a nobody. Simple economics. Get yours where you can, as far as Red Pill goes. It's all about playing the established system and making it work for you. But, you know, ending wars and stuff would be cool.

I don't understand how a society could have such strong public institutions like free education and healthcare, yet be so unstable as to have the government violently overthrown every few years. How would an institution establish itself if the people establishing the institutions were being killed before the institution were established? Example: Your ministry of education says that evolution is correct. Creationists disagree, and they have more guns. By this logic, they would overthrow the inst…

... Especially when your platoon sergeant is always saying "If [little female soldier] can get a 300, why can't you?" I'm sure if I only had to do 19 push-ups to pass, 40 sit-ups, and a 19:30 two-mile, I'd get a 300, too.

This is the beautiful thing the Army has taught me. I can sit through bullshit and suck for hours, silently hating my life. Because when they say "You're going to hike eight miles to the range with 60+ lbs of gear while carrying a 20-pound rifle" (the machine gun isn't as cool as it seems, guys), there is no "Nah, sergeant-- I think I'm gonna sit this one out". Or when you're sleeping outside, it's 40 degrees, and it starts pouring rain. There is no hotel. Hell, there isn't usually even a tent. …

Nah, I agree with you. It's not like we should cast women out of society. My philosophy is that women have carved out a new place in society by entering the workforce en masse, and can definitely be productive employees. I know some hard-charging female soldiers who are good at their job. My contention is that women have made their bed, and they ought to sleep in it. TRP is just a reactionary mindset to play off of women's new place on society.

The female engagement teams (FETs) in Afghanistan have been effective at getting intel, because Afghani women won't talk to American men. Also, female MPs pat down females who cross checkpoints for the same reason. Don't get me wrong-- there are plenty of good female soldiers, and they have a use in a lot of jobs. But I don think we ought to baby them.

Army male here. Fun fact: if you pass the PT test on the bare minimum for male standards in the 18-24 age range (a score of 180/300, for you non-Army folks here), you get roughly a 280 on the same age female standards (270 is considered a really good score, with 300 being perfect).

Well first, let's ask the pressing question everyone wants to know but, for some reason, has failed to ask: Are you ugly and/or annoying? Be objective and don't lie to us.

This. We can discuss tactics and theory as much as we want... Or we can just ask the guy what the situation is.

Can I get a source on that statistic? Not saying I don't believe you-- I just want to be able to correctly cite it, should the need arise.

Don't be afraid to get shot down. Using the driving example, if you refuse to drive a car because you're scared you will get into an accident, you're never going to learn to drive. If you keep saying "She's gonna say no", then you'll never get a "Yes".

This actually disgusted me that people would say this. If it were about a woman, those same neck beards that are saying "suck it up and enjoy getting sodomized" would be running to a female's rescue.

In my view, the whole theory is about rational actors. Women want the alpha because he's biologically a better choice than the beta. When you pedistaled this chick, what did you expect? "He's so nice to me! I should fuck him." Right, because being nice means you owe that person sex? I'm sure the waiter at the restaurant was a nice guy, too, but she (probably) didn't bang him. You saying "I can't believe she didn't bang me because I was so nice!" is the SAME FUCKING THING as a girl saying "I can'…

I don't think that's entirely the point he was trying to express. You can trust people, but don't make them your knight in shining armor. Always be able to fall back on your own accomplishments.

I'm not sure, and this is from a class two years ago. But I remembered it as "make the casual brush with the left hand" (i.e. MY left hand). It could be one of those "no one really knows" phenomena. Of course, I could just have it backwards.

IIRC from my old non-verbal communications class in college, here are a handful of physical motions women will do to express interest. The first one is touching or playing with the hair. The second is rolling the hips forward-- i.e. standing with her hips out towards you while leaning her upper body back. The third is the "coy smile"-- smiling, looking down, then smiling while looking up at you. Those are almost-universal signals in the US, Canada, and (I believe) the UK. One you can do to make …
